9 months!

Today [the computer tells me it's now Thursday, but to me it's still Wednesday, work makes my life terrible haha. Hump DAYYY!] my baby girl is 9 months old! Where does the time go?? She's getting so big so fast I can't even handle it. She's the cutest thing in this whole universe.

Here's how it's going:

-She can roll like it's no ones business [like I turn away for a second to put something down and I look back and she's half way across the room kind of rolling.]

-She can almost get from laying down to sitting up by herself.

-She rode in her first shopping cart without her carseat.

-She smiles and talks alllllll the time!! And we love it

-She says Mama and Dada and actually looks at us when she says it so we know that she knows who we are!

-She sleeps through the night in her own crib [mostly- lately we've had her wake up around 2 for a binkie and around 5 or 6 because she's thirsty or hungry.. I just give her a water bottle and she goes back to sleep until 8ish and it's AWESOME]

-She can put her whole foot in her mouth.

-She likes to kick and scratch and pull hair until you cry, then she lets go.

-She's just about the sassiest thing you ever met.

-She and Hiccup trade toys that they know they aren't supposed to have. [ he gives her wipes, she gives him her binkie]

-She stands up straight as can be and stays up for quite a long time

-She pulled herself up to standing the other day with Nate [and of course mama wasn't home!]

-And last but not least she has 2 gorgeous teeth!

Happy 9 months Miss E, we love you more than you will ever know!

Hump daaaay! Anyone seen that commercial? Well it's my favorite.

Okay, so I'd first like to start off by saying that I am so incredibly grateful for my husband. He puts up with every crazy thing that I say and do and if I want something he always says "we'll find a way". Like really? He's amazing. I'm also grateful for all the things we've been able to accomplish and accumulate, for only being 20 we have done a lot of things on our own and we haven't had to ask for a lot of help. We've had a ton of opportunities that have helped us grow and we've been able to afford the lifestyle we have and take care of our baby and now my sister comfortably. We are so blessed and I can't thank heaven enough.

On the downside, when something happens we have so much to lose. We recently lost our puppy Rico Suave to parvo. We got him for our wedding and he died 3 weeks later. It was one of the most heartbreaking experiences we've ever gone through. I mean he died in Nathan's lap.. so after crying for a full 24 hours my sweet husband took me to the animal shelter and we rescued our new lovely pup, Autumn. She's a red heeler, now 11 weeks old. We took her in to get shots before we even got home and found out today that she has parvo as well. So it must be somewhere at the house. . So she's in the animal hospital for tonight and we are praying she gets better - without paying a million dollars, because pet care can get expensive FAST.

We also were affected by the flash floods in our area a couple weeks ago and still have sandbags and garbage and torn out fences and dirt all over our floor and yards. It flooded our carpet and they had to rip it up and let it air dry for like 3 days and move all of the stuff to the front room(which luckily was spared) sooo we are still waiting on our landlords to get that fixed - hopefully before we move at the then of the month!!

On top of that my sweet sister in law was admitted to the hospital today as well- she's been sick for a few days and went in to the ER with a fever of 104!! They're not sure what's going on but they've ruled out crazy bad sinus infection.. CT scans and liquid diet.. bad news bears.

So hug your families and remember all of your blessings. Life is not to be taken lightly- be grateful for what you have been given and please keep our family in your prayers.

We Done Got Married!

Yesterday was just about the best/most stressful day of my life. We got married!! July 6, will forever be a wonderful day in my book. I married my best friend and my daughter got to be there to celebrate with us and we officially became a family. It's been a rough path getting here and now we start a new journey as a family. We will get our pictures back in 4-6 weeks and I'm super excited. The day went NOTHING like I had planned it to be, but it ended up being beautiful thanks to my new family and my wonderful husband. We LUCKED out on the weather. It's been over 100 every day for the past 2 weeks and the day before it cooled down to 90 and it rained in the morning, but stopped like 2 hours before and later that night!

Anywho, it was a wonderful evening at our cute bed and breakfast and-it was a wonderful night as a married couple without our children! (don't worry, we just slept haha.) I sure missed my Edagirl though.

New Job!

As of today there is a new front desk area person at the local Super 8 hotel! Woop woop. I start tomorrow at 5:30 AM. A freaking M. So early. But I'm pretty excited to have something else to do, have a babycation in the mornings! Pretty excited. It's definitely not the nicest place, but it's nice enough AND [big bonus here] it's like a block away from my house. Hip hip hooooray. We need some extra money to help out with our wedding because we're paying for it ourselves. Which is REALLY hard to do! It's still a lot of fun and I'm super excited to become a Fredrick for reals! 44 more days. Lots to do.

LOVING this crazy awesome weather. I've always wanted to live in Oregon or Washington so I could be in the constant rain. My brother lived in Oregon once.. not sure if he liked it haha. Anywho.. No news on my sister. There was a court meeting today over some options for her. Haven't heard anything and will probably have to call tomorrow for more information. Hopefully they don't rule her out as a troubled teen and she can move in with some family. It's one life monsoon after another in this monsoon season. Word of the day: monsoon.

Alright so we finally got some pictures of Edagirl in the tub, she's the cutest thing. Except she doesn't smile, just gives me a blank stare or a creepy eyed stare. And Nate has girly hands (: YAY.

Life is throwing us curve balls

Yesterday I basically quit my crappy job, and then later was "officially let go" whatevs, 7 hours a week was kind of a joke anyways, so now I am back to job searching and I have filled out like a million applications. Heaven help us, we need money to pay for our wedding and bills! Another problem we've recently had happen to us starts kind of a long time ago.. So when I was 8 and my sister was 4 we were placed in a permanent custody home of people we cared about and who we thought cared about us. However, things have changed A LOT since we were kids. Our "parents" per say, have changed a lot and we have become basically orphans. Last night my sister, now almost 16, stayed with me and Nate and asked if she could stay for a while, things were not going well at home so we of course said yes. Then this morning my "mom" called and said Tiara (my sister) was being moved to another family. She's 16! Seriously? This is not good for her. We are now in a custody battle with our birth mother and the state. It's going to be hard because she has a lot of say and because we are so young, we can not be approved for a foster home license, we can however apply for a waiver and get approval for that. And thanks to a new law passed YESTERDAY, any child over the age of 12 can petition to be placed back in the care of their birth mother, giving her some leverage over us.. ugh. Hoping all goes well and we will be the happy new guardians of a cute high school teenager! [yikes!] But we would rather have her be with us and finish high school in a comfortable home with people she knows, than in a house with strangers and uncomfortable or in a home with a mother who gave up her rights to us years ago for a man. [crazy right?]

Well that's our update, hopefully she does okay until we can get everything straightened out. So thankful for my sweet fiance and in-law family and all they do, you guys are the most amazing, supportive people! Thanks for everything you do. Don't know what we would do without your love and support.

We should know more tomorrow!

So my birthday was almost a week ago and we took some pictures because we decided to do something a little different. Nate likes to make me think he hasn't planned anything so I get sad [but try not to show it] and then SURPRISE! He gets me with stuff. It's pretty great. I also noticed we didn't take ANY pictures of his birthday ): that must have been when we lost the camera.. So sad. But for his we just invited some friends over and grilled up some steaks, cooked some potatoes, and drank some pepsi. It was a pretty delicious day! Sorry Nafety, love you (: Hope you enjoy your gaming chair and singing card!

I have this crazy obsession with Pitch Perfect so he got me an aca-birthday cake!

Seriously though, we watch it like 5 times a week.

Fun fact: Basically every time Nate came up to visit me in Logan we ate here. Brings back good memories.

We're finally caught up mostly, which means shorter blog posts! YAYYY!

So, Sometimes this cute bug loves to cuddle and make silly faces at me, and I just can't help but love it! She's the cutest thing in the world. Love you Miss Eden.

Is it rational to be this jealous of their relationship? Probably not, but I seriously am. They are always laughing and playing and she gets the biggest smile when she sees him.

On May 4th, my brother Casey got married to his girlfriend of 4 years! Finally! It was such a beautiful wedding and took place in my grandparent's backyard on a ranch. So fun to see them so happy and to invite a new sister into the family! Congratulations Casey and Laura, still having fun in Jamaica. <3

Her dress was GORGEOUS. So was her ring.

Happy first week of May! So happy to have my daughter and future husband. So happy for my brother and new sister and I wish them the happiest of lives!

It's been kind of gloomy [which is my favorite kind of weather!] and rainy and smelling delicious the past few days, which made my birthday [yesterday] even better! yay!! I really don't like to celebrate my birthday, but with Nathan it's so fun because he spoils me! I say I think I might want something and he goes and gets it. Seriously one lucky girl right here.

I'm dying. But it's the perfect time while Eden is sleeping to catch up on my massive slacking job.

March March Marchhhhh

Here we go.

March brought us to a new apartment, well actually a duplex, we packed which is always a nightmare, but this time we rented a uhaul and it SAVED our lives. With the help of Nate's parents we got it done a lot faster. I also drove it!! Scary experience! Good thing we got the insurance on it (: We lived in a kind of scary apartment complex before where we had to go out to a parking lot in the back to get to our car, it had a lot of smokers, and it was just all around creepy. I was always scared to go back there by myself with Eden to go get Nate from work at 10 or 9. So all in all I'm really happy with our new place, our own carport and backyard for our cute pup and it came with a swing set! Plus our neighbors are super nice and helpful and our pups are friends (:

Alright, so once upon a time, I threw out my back after picking up Eden when I got home from work. And then my babysitter Abby, just left!! I seriously could not move, it hurt so bad. After I had my baby, they gave me Lortab for my pain, I only used like 1, so I had a bunch left over, they also told me not to use it and drive because if you get pulled over it's considered driving under the influence! So I had to wait until Nate was off work to take one and it kicked in FAST! And then I don't remember any of this night, but my sweet Nathan decided to video tape it. This is the one that was on our camera but he has a "better one" (according to him /:) on his phone.. I'll have to see if he can get it to me and I'll post it later. So here we go.

Welcome to February with the Fredrick's, we sure have a lot of fun and I'm so thankful for my cute little family. We're getting closer to being all caught up.. but it's taking a little bit. Miss Eden is sick today so hopefully she gets better, she's sleeping more today and usually that gives me some time to get things done, but if I so much as move over an inch she wakes up screaming at me. January 2013. Happy new year!Welp, with the new year brought new adventures and new excitement. On January 1st, Miss Eden took her first bath without screaming bloody murder at me, which then resulted in a bath towel photo shoot and to this day they are still some of my favorite pictures of her (: Sure do love that sweet girl!

I seriously have NO idea why I'm still awake, Nate's asleep, Eden went to sleep hours ago and will be up in a few, and we have work tomorrow! Goodness gracious. So I blogged. All of January 2013. 10000000 pictures and videos, hope you enjoyed learning about us just as much as we enjoyed documenting our lives with pictures. We sure are happy with our little family and it wouldn't be possible without family and friends and the faith that we have that hard work will pay off.

Recently my soon to be sister-in-law began diligently posting on her blog about her fashion sense [which is pretty awesome] and I read it all the time to keep up on her latest trends. It's been fun and it got me thinking about our blog, which I haven't written on in months.. Thanks Mika for getting us back, even though we've only done a couple posts haha.

SO..

We've recently moved to a new duplex, one level and it's been the greatest thing in the whole world. We can enjoy our puppy without having to flinch every time he barks, he has tons of room to run around outside, and he has some friends next door!

Miss Eden is now 5 months 2 weeks! When did she get so big?! She sits up pretty good by herself, reaches for things, sings and talks to us all the time, and has the cutest giggle in the world. She LOVES when daddy comes home because they just play and laugh until she's exhausted, then he hands her back and I get to put her down for a nap. It's pretty exciting. She also sleeps through the night and we haven't even started rice cereal yet! I recently learned that whale's milk is 50% fat and I keep telling Nate I must be whale because Eden is like 80th percentile for weight and 70th percentile for height. I keep thinking of what my life was like before Nate and then before Eden and Hiccup.. I can't even remember! Life would be so boring and meaningless. I had my party days in college and I partied hard. Then we were blessed with the most amazing soul ever to come to Earth. She is our world.

I'm not sure how many people know that went back and forth SO many times with adoption, we love adoption. It gives an amazing opportunity for deserving people who wouldn't be able to have kids, to get kids and raise them as their own. We met wonderful couples from all over and finally settled on one, but nothing seemed to go right with them or anyone else. This is from their trip home after they adopted their youngest son from up north. They are the sweetest people and I am so glad we got to know them on a personal level.

After hours of prayer and lists and counseling and talking to family and friends and each other and separating and more praying we decided she was our baby and even though we don't have much we can raise her on love and the basic necessities. I mean, we're only 19! So young and so not ready to be parents? Guess not! With the help of our fantastic families and friends she has more toys and clothes than any little girl should ever have!! She is SO loved by everyone who meets her. I never regret our decision and I know Nate doesn't either, she would have been happy either way, but we are all happy as can be with her in our lives, she is the angel that saved us.

Alright, I just cried that whole time thinking about almost not having my sweet baby to wake up to every day. So! Catching up on pictures.. Which I take a million and one of..

Happy new year! (5 months late) Thanks for enjoying the end of our 2012 with us. It was an amazingly difficult and crazy wonderful year both together and apart. But we made it through and without each other and the support of our family and friends it would have been impossible. Thank you baby girl for being the highlight of our lives and we can't wait to spend forever being your parents!

Her very first picture

MEET OUR BABY!

Baby girl was due December 5th and decided to come 3 weeks early!
My water started breaking around 9am on November 13th [I had no idea it was happening, mind you!] so I took a nap and when I woke up again there was a large puddle around me! So naturally I showered and we were off to the hospital!
I was dilated to a 3 and fully efaced by the time they checked me.

Then labor slowed down ... WAY down.

Lights kept her up all night

So they gave me drugs to help speed it back up... and when it finally kicked in they had left me! I thought I was going to die..

Finally got my epidural around 6.. only made it to a 4 1/2.. haha.

First outfit home (: Winter style!

We were in the hospital for 3 nights and almost 4 days because she needed to be on lights for the jaundice.. yum, hospital food for life haha

Eden Claire Fredrick was born at 1:24 on November 14, 2012, weighing in at 7 pounds 1 ounce, and measuring 19 1/2 inches long; a head FULL of hair, a beautiful face, and 10 fingers and toes!

Meet our darling little girl!

We brought her home on the 16th and our exciting, terrifying life as parents began! It's been a wonderful, tiring, exciting, fun adventure so far and we can't wait to see what lies ahead!
