The fintech layer doesn’t own compliance. For Looch, web-based onboarding wasn’t an option. It simply didn’t align with the end-to-end ecosystem we’ve built and the level of user experience we’re committed to. We had to work with our compliance partners to implement in-app onboarding. Every screen in the onboarding flow is designed by Looch and approved by our partners. Not only does this reduce friction, but it also allows us to collect data that’s useful for aspects of the platform unrelated to compliance. For example, it allows Looch to tailor its accounting logic based on the user’s entity type, tax treatment, business type, and business description.

The fastest way I have seen time-to-value shrink is to stop teaching the product and start guiding the outcome. Customers do not sign up because they want to learn software.
