One week ago one friend’s site dropped from Google 1st page to 6th page and he asked me if his site punished by Google.

I checked his sites, find his backlinkshaving no spam and built gradually and regularly, then asked if his sites experienced Google dance before? Means moving up and down without any reasons, he said no, his site even didn’t experience Google sandbox, just increasing smoothly.

You can also see all the destinations with non-stop flights from a particular airport. If you’re in London and need ideas for a weekend getaway, search for [flights from London] to see popular travel destinations from London. By clicking "Show all non-stop routes," you can get the full list of destinations and from there, you can click to get more flight details.

This is currently available in 10 languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Turkish, and Catalan.

GeeMail – A New Cool Gmail Desktop Client

Gmail is fast, extremely simple, has a lot of great features, and it has everything we need from an email client. Google Labs alone makes Gmail worth giving a try if you haven’t used it before, and there are plenty of third party add-ons you can utilize as well. And GeeMail is a standalone Gmail desktop client for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and it’s a great answer for your offline needs.

What Is GeeMail?

GeeMail runs on Adobe AIR (cross-platform), and it looks and feels a lot like the Gmail that you’re used to. Since GeeMail supports the old UI of Gmail itself, things just work the way they do in Gmail, even the keyboard shortcuts.

With GeeMail, you can view all of your mail and even reply to messages while offline. When you do, your replies will be sent the next time the application detects that you are connected to the Internet.

Gmail tried to give users an offline solution using Gears, but GeeMail is a lot faster. It can grab hundreds of your most recent messages within minutes. It can do this because it only pulls in the bare essentials. Gmail’s labeling structure, for instance, won’t be pulled in by GeeMail unless you are online.

There is no configuration with GeeMail. The program has everything in place which is required to access your Gmail, meaning you don’t need to configure POP and IMAP settings like traditional email clients.

GeeMail also has a search feature, which I believe is newly added. You can search emails regularly, or click onAdvanced Search to do things like search only messages from or to a specific person.

How Do I Use GeeMail?

To get started with GeeMail, just head over to their website and click the Free Download button. The client will install with Adobe Air and the first time you run it you will see a login screen that looks strikingly similar to Gmail’s online login page. Type in your credentials to log in and get your mail.

GeeMail will take a minute to connect to your Gmail account and load, but once it does you will have all of your email and labels in the app to begin viewing.

Conclusion

As with any email client, GeeMail takes a bit of getting used to, but once you have it where you feel comfortable, it’s quite useful for you. I will be sticking with the online version of Gmail, but this presents a nice offline solution for me if I ever need to read something important when my Internet connection goes down.

MediaKeys – Controls WMP With Keyboard Shortcuts

Many of us like to hear music while we are working on our system. And it creates disturbance if we have to make any changes in our playlist. It will be the best option if we can make our media player more handy and convenient. Because we can’t stop our work in continuation to handle the player. It is very inconvenient and we can’t proceed the work the way we like. So, today I would like to review a tool named as MediaKeys. It has been designed to control your media player with the help of hotkeys.

MediaKeys is a small freeware of 256 KB only. It is a portable freeware. MediaKeys will be present on the system tray whenever you open it. You can set different hotkeys for play / pause, forward and backward. The snapshot below displays the user interface to edit the settings. You can either open it from the system tray or the hotkey is Ctrl + Shift + F1.

Make the changes in Controls. Firstly, select the Media Player. Then select the option to create the hotkeys. An interface as shown in the snapshot below will be presented.

Here, you can select the hotkeys for play / pause, forward and backward. As shown the assigned shortcuts are A, B and C. Please make sure that the hotkeys you are assigning have not been assigned for some other functions. Otherwise, it may create some errors while performing the task. The few additional settings can also be changed.

MediaKeys provides the option for volume control. It is not program specific but for the OS. It can be either Mouse Controlled or Keyboard Controlled. For Mouse Control, you have to choose the right click or left click and the scroll up or scroll down will change the volume accordingly. For Keyboard, you can only enable the specified hotkeys i.e. “+” for increase on number pad and “Enter” for decrease on number pad.

The last tab named as Start – Up, will ask if the application has to be automatically started when the system is switched on. Also, if there are multiple users, you can select whether it is for all the all the user or only one. After making the changes, click on Save. Now you can easily handle your media player.

The freeware has been tested on Windows 7 and is also compatible with all the other versions also. The freeware has been designed for Window Media Player, iTunes, Winamp, foobar 2000, MediaMonkey and generic media player.

Test Your Internet Connection For iPv6 Support

If you can’t access Facebook or the other participating sites, it most likely means you’re not ready for IPv6.

Just in case if you want to make sure in advance that your computer and your internet connection support IPv6 you can run a IPv6 compatibility test on whether your computer support IPv6 and whether your internet connection ISP is ready for it.

Generally, Most modern operating systems have support for IPv6, however not all Internet providers (the company that provides your Internet connection) support it as yet. Infact, in the UK, there are still only a handful of broadband providers who do. If your provider doesn’t, you can still use IPv6 by using a tunnel over IPv4. SixXS and Hurricane Electric are two free tunnel broker options. If you use Windows Vista or Windows XP and are behind a NAT router, you may need to use a Teredo Tunnel to connect.

You can also test the IPv6 connectivity on a windows computer using the ping command, follow the procedure below.

To test IPv6 connectivity by using the ping command

To obtain the IPv6 configuration for a computer, open Command Prompt, and then type netsh interface ipv6 show interfaceInterfaceName, where InterfaceName is the name of an interface on your computer. For example, if you have an interface named Local Area Connection, type:
netsh interface ipv6 show interface “Local Area Connection”

Use one of the following commands to ping another IPv6 node:
- To ping the link-local address of another node on your link (also known as a subnet):
  ping Address%ZoneID
  where Address is the link-local address of the other node and ZoneID is typically the interface index for the interface from which you want to send ping packets. You can obtain the interface index from the display of the netsh interface ipv6 show interface command.
  If the ping command fails, verify the link-local address of the other node and the zone ID.
- To ping the site-local address of another node:
  ping Address%ZoneID
  where Address is the site-local address of the other node and ZoneID is the site identifier (Zone ID for Site) from the display of the netsh interface ipv6 show interface level=verbosecommand. If you are not using site identifiers or have only a single site, the %ZoneID portion of the command is not required.
  If the ping command fails, verify the site-local address of the other node and the zone ID.
- To ping the global address of another node:
  ping Address
  where Address is the global address of the other node.
  If the ping command fails, verify the global address of the other node.
- To ping another node by name:
  ping -6Name
  where Name is a name that can be resolved to an IPv6 address through entries in the local hosts file, or through AAAA resource records that are present in your Domain Name System (DNS) infrastructure. When you identify the target host by name rather than IPv6 address, it is necessary to include the -6 parameter to ensure that IPv6 addresses are used.
  If the ping command fails, verify that the name can be resolved to an IPv6 address.

Screen capture software tools are essential tools for bloggers and it pays to have them tucked away within easy reach. But why bloggers alone; if you live in any of the social networks like Twitter or Facebook and want to send a quick screenshot to your friends, a fast quick launching screen capture app is just what’s required.

Fast, lightweight, and portable are three adjectives that fit SnapShoter (ver1.4.9b) to the T. You can throw in ‘free’ too and you have a winner among the portable app ranks. SnapShoter also brings a smile to your face if you are a rapid fire screen-shooter. It is also a clipboard manager that can hold multiple images and manipulate them around. So, without further ado, let’s check out some key features.

SnapShoter Is Lightweight

A 973KB size for screen capture software with a clipboard manager and image manipulation is a nice thing in a small package. Unzip the download and put it in its own folder as that’s where the captures and app preferences will also get saved. Clicking the EXE file launches SnapShoter as a sidebar on the right side of your screen. You can shift it to the left and also minimize it. Not so cool so far? Let’s snap some shots.

The Screen Capture

SnapShot gives you three image capture modes – you can capture the whole screen/desktop, use the crosshairs to select an area, or use the timer with a 5 (can be set in Preferences) second delay. All screen captures end up in the app’s clipboard as a stack of images waiting for further treatment. You can capture and store as many as you want. You can even drag ‘n drop other images on your computer into the stack and order them around. You can also see them saved in a folder marked ‘captures’. Delete the images from the sidebar with a right-click or use the Kill button to ‘kill’ all of them in one go.

SnapShot’s Compose Mode

The Compose window is your playground where you can do a lot more with your captured images. It is like an image editor. You can drag your images from the Clipboard stack to the compose window. The toolbar at the top gives you all the one-click functions. You have to experiment a bit as there are no tooltips and the tools aren’t marked out in any other way.

The Compose mode allows you to work with Layers. You can also create as many layers as you want. The four buttons from the right let you change the order, select, and delete layers.

Select your color from the palette a use the buttons next to it to draw shapes and lines on the canvas.

You can select any image and change the transparency of the layer on which it is placed. Another button allows you to change the contrast of the image by small factors. You can also place text on a layer.

The five buttons on the left can help you to setup a collage of pictures by changing the size and orientation of the images.

When you are done with your collage just save it all as a JPEG with a click.

Watermarking Your Images

Go into the Preferences window and enable watermarking your images with a custom text. You can also finetune the transparency and the font size. This window also has the snapshot timer custom control.

Summing It All Up

It took me some time to learn the controls as the software does not have a help manual yet. That’s one thing that can put of a newbie.

SnapShoter’s presence in your toolbox will depend on the kind of screen shot buff you are. If you are a heavy screen-shooter and like to have a rapid editor close-by then, this light software is worth a try. SnapShoter does not allow you to capture scrolling web pages or just the active screens. So, its use as a full fledged screen capture software is just a bit hindered. But what it gives you is an unlimited clipboard for stacking many images.
