Alternatively, you may also find it helpful to review academic journals and other resources open to the public in order to find a potential Keio supervisor. International Center would not introduce any professors to you.

English Based Courses:
Please note that Keio University only has an English based course at the Graduate Schools of Science and Technology, Media and Governance, and Media Design. The applicant who seeks to obtain a degree at the Graduate Schools other than these Graduate Schools is required to have a native level Japanese knowledge, since the entrance examination and all the courses are in Japanese. Although the MEXT provides a 6-month language training period, this will not be enough to prepare for the entrance examination if you are a Japanese beginner.

3. This acceptance letter will be sent to the address provided in your Information Form. Please note that Keio University does not guarantee that a letter of acceptance will be sent to every applicant. In the event an acceptance letter cannot be issued, the International Center will inform the applicant through the email address provided in the Information Form.

4. Neither the applicant nor Keio University has authority to make this decision or influence its outcome. Additionally, a Letter of Acceptance does not, of itself, guarantee an assignment to Keio University.

UBD Study Awards - BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

<table border="0" The funded projects highlight the policy of the Fund to support a diverse range of journeys and to assist individuals at different stages in their careers to travel to enrich their practice and pursue a personal passion.

Lisa Ullmann, in whose memory the Fund was established in 1986, was an inspiration to those who knew her or who came into contact with her work. A distinguished teacher, she travelled worldwide to teach others. It is in memory of her vivacity, passion and energy that the committee continues her work by selecting movement and dance practitioners to further or celebrate their own practice by making a journey. Since giving its first awards in 1987 LUTSF has provided 375 travel scholarships to help people to pursue an extraordinarily wide range of projects. Over the years LUTSF awards have totalled about £168,000.

This year one scholarship has been awarded in memory of Vivien Gear, LUTSF secretary who died suddenly in 2007. The scholarship winner was recommended by the British Ballet Organisation with whom Vivien also worked.

Donations (one-off gifts, covenants, or bequests) to make it possible for LUTSF to continue its work are gratefully received and should be sent to: The Treasurer (LUTSF), Laban, Creekside, London SE8 3DZ

Information and guidelines for applicants are available online.

Application Forms can be obtained from the website from 1st September for a deadline of 25th January: type LUTSF into your search engine or send an A5 SAE (1st class stamp) to:

The Secretary (LUTSF), Breach, Kilmington, Axminster, Devon EX13 7ST

Deadline: 25 January 2009
w: www.ullmann-trav.fsnet.co.uk/

APAI Advanced Tool Wear Analysis

Scholarship Description
The research project is part of an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Project, investigating wear on sheet metal forming tools. The project involves industry partners from within the automotive and tooling industries. The appointee will investigate the localised loading conditions and wear response at the surface of typical sheet metal forming dies. State-of-the-art Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques and experimental methods will be used to develop a clearer understanding of the wear behaviour; with much focus on the micro-scale mechanisms that occur. The outcomes of the project will have particular relevance to the product development and stamping engineering processes used in the automotive industry.

Study Subject: Advanced Tool Wear Analysis
Web Address: http://www.deakin.edu.au/research/admin/scholarships/industry/tool-wear/
Provided By: Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry)
To be undertaken at: Deakin University.
Level: Post Graduate (Research)

Availability
This scholarship is offered once only to one person.
