Snowmageddon hits! Seriously, Portland got one of the worst snowstorms to hit the area in years. We had a lot of fun in it though!

Dawn made her first snow angel!

The dude and his math class won 2nd place in the MathCounts competition!

And he put together a great project for his science fair! (future infosec professional here we go!)

March 2017

Kris starts playing futsal with Steven – the two old men have a lot of fun, and a lot of sore muscles…

We enjoyed feeding our friendly apartment squirrels and then had a great idea – cut out the bottom of nearly empty jar and mount a GoPro. So fun

We named him Peanut Butter Larry

And of course, lots of Portland Thorns games!

Well, this one sucked. The apartment above us caught fire, and although we were unaffected by anything burning in our first story apartment, we did get a ton of water damage.

We’ve developed a new tradition for Father’s Day after moving up here to the PNW – Kris gets to visit a river and put his feet in to relax. That’s all Kris wants for the day.

July 2017

I start my new job at AWS Elemental. The face you see here is pure joy and relief; being unemployed definitely started to take a toll on Kris

Full solar eclipse! This was amazing to experience in person

Kris’s first Community Investment volunteering event. This becomes something extremely important to him.

And to top off a great month, we all got to attend fan night with the Thorns!!

July 2016

August 2016

In August, we found Ian’s people! A great group of Smash Bros players that he quickly made friends with and really enjoyed hanging out with.

September 2016

The first of many games for the Portland Thorns! We’ve made a bunch of friends and really feel like part of the family when we go to games. ❤

We also watched the dude ride off to school on a bus for the first time!!

November 2016

After moving up to Portland and going fully remote, 3 months later Kris was part of a big layoff at work. Not going to lie, this definitely sucked. Things worked out really well for us though.
