I'm becoming acquainted with a braillex trio and vo and am finding the
combination to be stunningly beautiful or maybe I just need some

just beginning to figure out all that can be done with the two of
them. I can type into my document using the braille keyboard,
controll the mac from the braille keyboard and that is really
interesting in a way that it is not with other displays.

      <description>hello all,
I have the following problem:
I received files in a folderstructure from a person.
I would like to modify things in this folderstructure.
When I ask the properties on a windows xp home machine , the read-only
checkbox is parsially checked.
When I change the attributes on mac for this folderstructure with
chmod 7777 or chown, this doesn't affect the folder when I look to it
on a windows machine.

<description>The latest update might fix the pauses problem for you. When I tried
the 1.3 voices in Leopard, there were really long pauses for me, too,

or at least they did with the speed set to be pretty fast. I still had

      <description>Hi,

I really love Trackpad Commander on my MacBook Pro 13 and am wondering
if anyone has found an adequate after market, third party multi-touch
trackpad that works well with older computers? I have a 1.5 year old
MacBook 13 and a six month old iMac 24 without trackpads to control
them.

<description>As I wrote earlier, VO is updated with the OS updates and typically
shows major steps forward when the OS is actually upgraded.

So, $29 for screen reader update and $0 for the rest of the OS if you
want to look at it this way. With JAWS, $250 (assuming you have SMA)
for two screen reader upgrades and $200 for OS upgrade. In upgrades
alone, you save $420 and Apple is pretty consistent with software
updates across its entire product line.

expecting any with VoiceOver, given the simple layout of the site.

On www.apple.com, I went to the Apple Store and selected
the IMac.

A table is presented, where each column is a different IMac model. I could
interact with the table and read the info, but the focus wouldn't move to the
very bottom row, where the select buttons are located. These buttons must be

write me off list, but was wondering, on the other platform, there is
a player I use all the time to determine the length of a file, and I'm
able to jump to a specific point in the given file, in case I get
distracted, and I'm wondering how or if it is even possible to do this
with itunes, as that player now is the default player for mp3's?
Thanks in advance, but if this won't work with itunes, which player
will accomplish this on the mac?

There are two ways that I know of. 1. You can find the track in
iTunes and interact with it then press VO shift M to bring up the
context menu where you will find the convert option. 2. You can
find the song, go to advanced in the menu bar and find the same
convert option.

<description>I just don't like the huge pauses in between sentences. Some of the
pronunciations are kind of whacky also though I realize there is a
dictionary. I guess I just don't want to take the time to fix
something like that, especially when each voice costs $35 which I
refuse to pay. You're right, it's all a matter of preference.

<description>I have the same problem but when I tried to shut down the computer and
hold PRM down with option command, nothing happened. I discovered
however that though the computer had technically shut down, the power
supply was still on. I have a Mac Mini. Is there something wrong
with the computer perhaps or is this normal. Obviously I still have
the problem. Is there anything else I can try? All of my volumes are
set at 100%.

<description>Make sense. I'll see what I can find. Thanks.

But before I try it I have another problem that I can't figure out.
It's not letting me save anything to the windows side. I try and
download a program I need but it won't save it. It's set as read only
I guess and I can't find where or how to change it, any suggestions
there? I checked under administrator and that is checked. Hopefully
that made sense.

<description>It's not that I don't want to be descriptive, it's just that if you
look for it on google it will probably be much clearer than me. All
SharpKeys does is to remap keys, so you can, for example, make your
right option key behave as the insert key when using windows.
