Hey folks, today I would like to talk about a site called infoBarrel. Most of you people know about a site called hubpages right? If you don’t, hubpages is a site where you can go to generate back links by creating "hubs" (articles) and get a decent bit of money from them with adsense. Hubpages is a revenue sharing program in which your ads show up 60% of the time and theirs show the remaining 40%. Well, InfoBarrel is quite the same in the sense of the sites purpose; however, they give you 75% of the impressions.

I have searched all over the internet for information on how to make money online. I spent about five months studying what the big dogs like Darren Rowse and Grizzly had to say about it and I am starting to come around. One thing that I have noticed is that more people spend their time and effort in the social sites.......such as Blogcatalog. This is a problem. You are asking for followers and doing the whole "you visit my blog and I will visit your" deal and 99% of the time it will get you no where. There is a way to make money online and there is a very small chance that you will succeed when all you do is spam the heck out of Blogcatalog.

The other type of bloggers that will most likely never end up making a decent income online are the ones who try really hard but end up giving up before the fruits of their labor fall from the tree. Nothing is automatic or quick about making money online, there are very few shortcuts folks. Many times you will end up working diligently for a month and you wont see your results for another month. Most are simply not interested in putting the time into making it in this business. Folks, I can honestly say that I have never in my life put so much time into a project that has paid so little. So I finally did what Ive been meaning to do for some time now - I joined the keyword academy for a buck. Now I had a decent bit of knowledge about the program from other make money sites, so I had a pretty good Idea about what was on the site.

First of all - does a one dollar activation fee seem like a scam to you? Most "scams" on the Internet will go for a more expensive one time fee or monthly fee. The reason that the keyword academy offers the "almost free" trial is because they have a good idea that you will want to stay. The deal is that you get to go into the member's area and gain access to all of the goodies for 30 days and If you decide to stay then the price is either $29 to $33 dollars - depending on which type of membership you sign up for.

You can go ahead and dismiss the idea that the folks at the keyword academy are scam artists because they simply are not. You may have found reviews of "the keyword academy scam" but you have to realize that most pages like these are simply attempting to draw in traffic and monetize it - which is quite brilliant in my opinion.

After checking out the site I found what I had expected, but the main reason I joined was for the link building information and tools. Now there is a wealth of other information and videos, but most of this information I understood already - no I am not a newb - I like to refer to myself as a novice now. That’s funny, ha ha. If you think that making money online is easy, then you should just get out of here and go do it. If you do well, make some good money; let me know because my experience with this whole deal has been quite the opposite. It has taken months and months of work and the funniest thing about it was that I thought I would be able to make $100 a month in no time. You see folks; my first mistake was creating a “make money online” site. Ha…..I’m still laughing about that one.
I learned all the basics from Griz and thought that I would be moving on up pretty fast. I was wrong. Making money on the internet requires a bunch of work folks. So if you have just got the itch to make some free money on the internet, do not go out and quit your day job right away. I have just now come to the realization that it takes time and to slow down. I thought about quitting several times. The only reason that I am still doing this is because I am stubborn and do not like leaving projects that I have j=not yet completed. I am addicted to say the least. I will keep on trying, keep on building new sites and testing new techniques in order to find out what works.
