History:

The University at Lucknow was first mooted by Raja Sir Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan, Khan Bahadur, K.C.I.E. of Mahmudabad, who contributed an article to the columns of “The Pioneer” urging the foundation of a University at Lucknow.
The resolutions of the first Conference together with the recommendations of the sub-committees as confirmed at the second Conference were laid before a meeting of the Allahabad University on March 12, 1920, and it was decided to appoint a sub-committee to consider them and report to the Senate. The report of the sub-committee was considered at an extraordinary meeting of the Senate on August 7, 1920, at which the Chancellor presided, and the scheme was generally approved.
This was a rich inheritance for the new-born University in 1920, both materially and intellectually, and it brought with it also the richest of all heritages “a fine tradition of some fifty-five years in the case of the Canning College and some nine years in the case of the King George’s Medical College.” To this the generous taluqdars of Oudh added an endowment of nearly thirty lakhs. The support from Sir Harcourt Butler’s Government was strong and hearty.

This Trial Application Form has been made available in printed form to the students passing out the SSC examination at their respective schools. This form can also be downloaded by using the link given below.

Candidates are requested to use this Trail Application Form to prepare all the data required to be entered in the Online Application Form. They should start filling in the Online Application Form only after completely filling in the Trail Application Form by hand preferably using pencil.

Please note that this form has been made available for ease of entry of data on the Online Application Form. This Trial Application Form shall not be accepted at the Submission Center.

The following candidates have been selected for admission to the M.B.B.S. course for the year 2010, on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Examination held on 1st June, 2010.

(The list is Merit wise):

Star is Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped Candidate

The above candidates must submit the following documents by Speed Post/Registered Post to the Registrar, Academic Section, AIIMS New Delhi – 110608 so as to reach by 25th July, 2010 positively.

i) An attested copy of certificate in proof of passing the 12th class under 10+2 Scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination/Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board.

ii) An attested copy of certificate from the Board showing his/her date of birth.

iii) An attested copy of mark-sheet of the qualifying examination i.e. 12th class under 10+2 Scheme/Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination in proof of having secured 60% or more marks (50% in case of SC/ST) in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology.

iv) In case of SC/ST/OBC(non creamy layer) candidates, an attested copy of SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer) certificate issued by the competent authority.

v) In case of OPH an attested copy of certificate from prescribed authority showing that he/she belongs to Orthopedic Physically Handicapped category. The admission of the above candidates to the MBBS course is subject to verification of their original certificates/documents and fulfillment of the eligibility conditions as laid down in the Prospectus
