This is Marvell Sheevaplug; a Linux-running PC small enough to be plugged into a regular wall socket while offering a 1.2GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 512MB flash memory for storage and a Gigabit ethernet port + USB 2.0 port for connectivity.

So, just hook it up to the network, connect a hard drive to the USB port and you’ve got a super-silent tiny web or file server you can control over the network, taking up no space at all and consuming less than 5 watts of power (so there’s no need for a clunky power adapter or anything).

Seriously, can you find a more suitable desk chair for hardcore flight simulation sessions than this; the F-4 Ejection Chair, made from the bucket seat of a real F-4 Phantom II jet fighter.

Boston Acoustics announced that the midrange SoundWare XS 5.1 will be available as of July 2009; a speaker set with five ultra-compact speakers (measuring less than 4 inches) plus a compact subwoofer sporting a 100 watt amplifier. Each polyhedron-shaped satellite performs as a two-way speaker with a 2.5-inch woofer and a 0.5 inch tweeter.

Perhaps not enough juice to shake the foundations of a huge room, but it looks very interesting for someone like me, looking for a set of small yet-good-looking speakers able to provide decent sound for movie-watching in a small apartment.

There’s plenty of mice slash Skype phones out there, but this one claims to be the first one doing it as a classic slider (and it does look like a classic, Nokia cell phone, doesn’t it?). Just slide that thing open for access to its keypad panel, internal speaker and condenser microphone – when closed you can check the caller-ID of who’s calling on the built-in 128×64 LCD display.

Elecom’s 4-port USB 2.0 hub U2H-TC410B (god, who comes up with these product names anyway?) is shaped like an ordinary wall socket. It sports a magnets in the back for easy mounting on metal surfaces, but there’s hooks for regular screws as well.

The Touch Book by Always Innovating might look like a regular netbook at first glance but with features like a 95%-sized keybard along with a fully detachable 8.9" touch display that can be used as a tablet it might just be a bit more interesting to some people.

It’s powered by an OMAP3530 ARM chip and sports 256MB RAM + 256MB NAND memory along with a 8GB SD card for storage (no hard drive on this one). Besides that you get wi-fi, bluetooth, three USB-ports and a 3D accelerometer.

The Touch Book is said to start shipping next month to a price of $300 for the tablet section, $400 if you want the keyboard too.

This is “No Future Companion”; a fully poseable all-metal collectible toy created by KAWS / Hayime Sorayama. It took them three years(!) to design it (together with Medicom) and there’s only 500 made, so yeah, they’re sold out. Let’s hope they make more of ‘em!

Update: There’s quite a few eBay auctions going on now, hurry over there if you want to grab one. Watch out for cheap fakes though.

PhoneSuit’s MiLi Pro Projector is a sleek pocket-sized projector built specifically for iPods and iPhones. Just hook it up and it’ll let you project a LED-illuminated 40 inch screen with a maximum resolution of 640×480 (480p). As for connections you get VGA and RCA audio input as well as USB output.

The MiLi Pro will ship in September 2009 but there’s no word on price yet.
