The only reason Soweto isn’t up there is because I listen album-wise rather than single-wise, and my kids usually break in partway through an album. Early tracks inevitably get higher rated.

The Charlie Hunter / Derek Phillips / John Ellis version of Soweto is how I found out about Ibrahim. (listen)

I just pulled a ~~slightly~~ corny remix of Mannenburg by Thabonage off eMusic because that’s the only version they had. Listening now / ignoring corn.

Okay, this is pretty weird: last year I wrote a post-noir-ish story (still unpublished; the internet site/zine in question dicked me around) that surfed the edge of an imaginary underworld set in a parallel-world 50s/60s Romania/Hungary that had a blackmarket in medical-porn, including hospital-beds/defribs/etc they used as props and audio-recordings of heart-monitors, EEGs, etc. They sold films fetishing medical processes, etc. Haven’t found a decent home for the story yet – been too busy to shop it around. Weird coincidence, you mentioning that.
