My mom ( and her Country Living magazine) clued me in on The Scottish Weaver, a website full of tartan products and fabrics. I love that they carry silk, wool, and cotton tartans and have a page of Canadian tartans (My family is from B.C., Alberta, + Nova Scotia but I also like the Yukon).

Nicole posted this shelf from Restoration Hardware and I wish it was in my budget. My plans change everyday but I think I've decided to stick around PDX for the next little while so I've been looking for a small work/live space. This shelf looks strong enough to hold props but pretty enough to sit in a living room.
I am loving the return of the drop -waisted dress. This dashing little number from Pixie Market is super sweet and perfect for year-round wear.

I made these little woodland candy cups last month and forgot to post them here. They were for a DIY project that was published on justmommies.com. The article is meant to be a project for kids but I think they'd be super cute as favors for a fall party or wedding.

I love experiencing a culture through the food so I am excited to bring a few of my new favorites home from Sweden to share with my family over the holiday. Here are a few of the items I am bringing:
Cardamum pepparkakor (gingersnaps).
Kryddost cheese (yummy cheese filled with caraway + cloves).
Organic vanilla + cardamum sugar from Rosendals.
Cardamum knäckebröd.
Raspberry + rhubarb marmalade.
Gudbrandsdalen (a Norwegian cheese).
Chokladfabrik truffles (check out the packaging! so cute!).
White Pepper and cardamom chocolate.
Wish I could bring back some of the saffron tomato creme fraiche but it obviously wouldn't travel well!
I LOVE this Etsy shop, The Best Things. Their selection of vintage goods is is just delightful!

I get so overwhelmed + frustrated trying to search Etsy that I was so happy to discover Lovely Clusters. It's a new site that groups shops by color and category. It's so much easier (and more fun!) to search.

Here are a few snapshots of the wee little house I've been staying at in Sweden. It's just under 400 square feet and pretty much has everything I need. I've totally fallen in love with the cottage life! It has all the coziness of a house without the hassle that a large space brings.

My blog is looking kind of summery right now. I think it's how I am dealing with this dismal weather so I am just going to go with it. I love this sweet dress from Das Neue Schwarz, an online vintage shop from Berlin.It also suits my current penchant for 1990's fashion (more on that later!).
I like using parchment paper with flowers because it offers a fresh, modern feel and it's inexpensive. For these DIY centerpieces, I covered drinking glasses in parchment, stuck a number sticker on each one and filled them with blown open roses and dahlias. See full article here.
These new polaroids by Chloe Aftel were taken for the new Heart by Ban.do line. The headpieces in the line are adorable + affordable + and also make me wish I was a teenager again!

I've met so many kind + lovely people here in Sweden. Today, I went to tea at a neighbor's home (I met her on the bus!:). Her name is Helena Molund and she's an amazing landscape designer. I was totally smitten with the interiors of her home. Turns out, it's been featured in a million magazines. It's in the current issue of Lantliv (a gorgeous Swedish home magazine!).

Check out this Swedish blog, Fröken Ö. It's so beautiful, it's almost painful. I like how so many of the photos are blurry as if the moments were just quickly captured (as opposed to being staged!).

Someone from the UK kindly uploaded the new BBC version of Emma to You Tube and I've been watching it for the past few days. I am not sure if it will replace Gwynnie's version for me, but it is well done and follows the book quite closely. Also, I will pretty much watch anything starring Jonny Lee Miller.
