I took a cold but lovely walk today. Walking is so therapeutic! I saw so many pretty houses and porches and lanterns and vignettes. I struggle with trying to capture it all. Instead, I often just put my camera down and try to live in the moment.

Someone from the UK kindly uploaded the new BBC version of Emma to You Tube and I've been watching it for the past few days. I am not sure if it will replace Gwynnie's version for me, but it is well done and follows the book quite closely. Also, I will pretty much watch anything starring Jonny Lee Miller.

Today our city bus stopped for a moose! It made me smile. Moose are such tall, almost elegant animals. I loved watching it prance across the road!

Here is my latest article for Project Wedding. I was excited to find these mini lanterns and thought they'd be great for escort cards/favors/centerpieces. The idea is to create a reception awash with gorgeous candlelight. How pretty would it be to have all your guests carrying lanterns to their tables?

I was reading through a Country Living UK magazine today (Sept.09 issue) and they had the coolest article about how you can live in a peasant cottage on an English estate like Chatsworth or Lanhydrock. The cottages looked darling and some even had orchards and gardens. The prices sounded so reasonable (one was 575 Pounds a month with a one year lease.) Doesn't that sound dreamy?

Love this shop, Bookbinders Design. It's a chain in Europe and Asia but I hear they are spreading to the U.S. soon. Think Kolo, but with an endless choice of colors! The stores are breathtaking (website doesn't do it justice!) and most of the products are handmade in Sweden.

The more shopping I do, the more I realize that I'd like to dress like a five year-old. I picked up the Kenzo kids catalog the other day and the styling is amazing! There are better images in the catalog, that hopefully I can scan for you one day.
I got back to Sweden from my vacation yesterday and I am feeling ready to return to work and routine, though still feeling a bit weary from the journey back! Next week I'll return to regular blogging and will be catching up on emails.
