i couldnt believe it..i sold my computer system on ebay for $2500…ebay charge be $253 fee and paypal charged me $75 fee…$328 worth of fees…NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Sooooo i sold a item, buyer claimed it did not work.. He opened a case.. I offered a full refund if the item was returned.. He then escalated the case, and guess what. They sided with him and refunded his money.. One little thing though… HE DID NOT RETURN THE ITEM!!! What is wrong with these people.. Are you allowed to go to walmart buy a toaster, and go back to walmart a month later demanding your money back without returning the toaster?? Fuck ebay!!!

I ordered 3 items on ebay with a coupon, two of the items arrived fast and on time, one item didnt ever show up, after debating with the seller I got a refund, ebay took the coupon away because it was for three items not two and put my account in the negative, not my fault I never got the item I payed for, go here its awesome just like ebay but better http://www.tripleclicks.com

I has bought a $200 Galaxy S4 replacement screen and digitizer with an alleged 1-year warranty. 3 months later, the screen goes out and multiple calls to ebay (around 14) lead to the conclusion that ebay had completely lost any information on the seller, and said I was “fresh out of luck”.

how dare ebay take out money from my paypal without my permission to give to a buyer that has returned an item to you used when you sold them a new sealed product and that is not the way it was return; yet ebay gave them their full money back and now you as the seller are screwed over because you cannot sell it as a new item anymore. HOW DARE YOU SCREW OVER SELLERs THAT HAVE BEEN WITH YOU A LONG TIME. I AM CLOSING MY ACCOUNT WITH EBAY DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH THEM ANY LONGER. best thing we can do is Close you accounts with ebay and paypal and go somewhere else and sell your ebay stock if you have any.

Because eBay wants me to use their stupid overpriced labels, I usually ship (using my own UPS account) to the VERIFIED paypal address. Well, when a user moves and does not update it, and you ship to it, guess who loses. THE SELLER. And, eBay won’t refund the cost of the auction to me, so I’m out the product price PLUS auction fees. $150 isn’t that big a deal, but the way they shield themselves from any communications is obscene.

Seriously, Fuck you eBay. Fuck you and the horse you rode in on.

I tried to sell a Samsung tab4 7 inch on ebay a month ago, someone went ahead and clicked auto buy on the price which was £120 with postage, the tab itself was in mint condition. Now the user the tried to buy it off me, didn’t pay and asked for my PayPal so he can pay, me being new to the whole selling thing, I went oh ok (stupid I know) but I waited 3 days and still no payment but I did however get emails from eBay and paypal (fake emails mind you) so I contacted paypal and asked them wtf was going on, and sent them a copy of the email I got, they said it was fake and not to send the tab (no shit sherlock but they were helpful…) I reported the buyer and also reported the item as not payed and I still got charged a fee! I tried to contact ebay but how the fuck do u contact them? That’s right you fucking can’t! ! The user is still on ebay! And I still have to pay a fee for something that wasn’t payed for!

So I didn’t spend too much time scrolling the post here ,so this could be a repost ,but one thing that really drives me nuts about ebay is their little scam they run with paypal.

First off i just want to make sure everyone knows that ebay owns paypal so what they do just benefits the same persons. For each item you sell the full payment makes it directly over to paypal, everything except for you final value fee that ebay pulls out of paypal or your CC at the end of the month.

You think they would pull the final value fee out right away, but because paypal would lose a percentage of the sale total they don’t. This is just another reason why you should be disgusted with ebay!

EBay’s buyer protection program is allowing buyers to rip off honest sellers. You can ship a working item to the buyer, the buyer can remove parts that work, install parts that don’t and simply complain and get all their money refunded leaving you out the shipping and now holding a non working piece of shit. Ebay allows them to do this over and over and over again. There is literally no seller protection. You are at total risk when you sell something. If you cross paths with one of these crooks that needs some innards of your item (normally vintage) you are going to get screwed and ebay helps them screw you. All they have to do is tell ebay that the item was received “not as described” The seller is at Total risk on Ebay. Good luck.

I have been an ebay user for 11 years, buying and selling, but it wasn’t until recently i discovered the injustice of positive only feedback for buyers!

I sold an item and the winning bidder declared he wouldn’t pay for it after the auction ended. He claimed he didn’t realise the currency was pounds (even tho ebay will auto-convert into users national currency) and so won’t be paying.

To avoid final value fees I sent a cancel transaction notice to the buyer and he agreed/accepted.

It was clear to me this wasn’t an honest mistake so i went about leaving negative feedback. It was then i saw it is impossible to leave bad feedback to a buyer.

You can report the user but cannot leave genuine feedback to help warn other sellers.

This recent policy obviously helps ebay maintain profit by preventing poor rated buyers being commonplace and avoided by sellers.
Sellers pay all the fees (unreasonable fees) and buyers get all the protection.

No fair!
Fuck you ebay.

My husband and I bought a car, thinking hey they have buyer protection, we’ll be fine! right. The car was so unsafe we never drove it off the lot it was delivered to. Ebay didn’t cover it since the car was over 10 years old, something they never let us in on. A year later we stupidly buy another, use the shippers they suggest, who never deliver. We fly accross the country with out 4 month old and surprise surpise the car is a POS. It was 46 days after we bought it and we were stranded on the opposite coast because ebay wouldn’t do sh!t. 45 days isn’t protection, not when companies say it will be 30 days to ship it to you and they insist you contact the seller first, I’ve had multiple items never show up and was never able to open a case and get my money back because the seller said they would send another and never did.

Not only can you not get ANY exposure if you aren’t a full time seller from China, paying to list an item that will never ever sell because no one can see your stuff is BULL. Fuck ebay, greediest nastiest rip off site ever. And don’t even get me started on effing paypal…

After being on hold for 40min I was told by a customer service rep, from the “Trust and Saftey” department, that I’d be able to increase my selling limit as a new user. Initially excited, I raced to my computer to begin selling more items. To my dismay, the error message, “YOU’VE EXCEEDED YOUR LIMIT” was still present for my attempted listing. After 40 more minutes of waiting to speak to a different rep, from the “Trust and Safety” department, I was told that I had been MISINFORMED. They assured me that they’d “Coach” the rep and said this was a rare occurrence. It happened 2 more times that same day…I FUCKING HATE EBAY and their INCOMPETENT OUTSOURCED PIECE OF SHIT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS!

I’ve been selling on eBay for years, they used to be usable… now I just feel like 50% of the time I sell something I just get fucked up the ass. Currently I’m working out a $150 return for a printer the customer broke, I just received negative feedback from a buyer who didn’t pay, and had a buyer purchase a buyitnow item and NOT pay, wtf?? Of course nothing will happen to them, but I’m stressed, losing money, and I’ve done nothing wrong aside from feed eBay a good chunk of my “profits.” Also, I just purchased something, paying for expedited shipping because I needed it by the end of the week, and got it shipped ground. Now I’ve gotta overpay at a store to get it in time and waste my time dealing with a return. Seriously eBay, fuck you. I’m done.
