Ferret Found

An adorable little fuzzy was recently found and delivered to us from a residential area in Eastlake, Ohio. She's a chunky brown sable with a white mask and also has one broken canine tooth. She was picked up on Sunday, 06/28 in the afternoon.

Parma Heights Rescue

On Friday, Ferrets Unlimited rescued 14 ferrets from a home in Parma Heights that had many animals (cats, dogs, raccoons, and other assorted critters).

All of the ferrets need veterinary evaluations, many have dental problems and some may have adrenal disease. The ferrets range in age from 2 to 7 years old and are in quarantine until they are assessed and moved to foster or permanent homes.

Large rescues like this put a severe strain on our resources and we need your help to care for the ferrets.

If you live in the Northern Ohio area, please consider fostering or adopting a ferret or two. If you are interested, please complete a foster application, or an adoption application.

If you live outside our area or are unable to take in more ferrets at this time, but would still like to help, please consider sending a donation to our rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) charity and your donations are tax deductible. If you would like to earmark your donation for this rescue, please note Parma Heights on your check or on the PayPal form.

Trash to Treasure

Mark your calendars for the Trash to Treasure Grafton village wide garage sale Saturday, June 13, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

We are having a Yard and Tent Sale on Saturday, June 13th., during Grafton’s BIG community garage sale. Bring the family to Grafton and make a day of it!

While you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and visit us. Shop for the ultimate bargains, best deals, and hidden treasures! Take a break and sit for a bit at one of our rest tables.

Learn more about us from 9am to 5pm at 1028 Chippewa St. Grafton, OH. All proceeds from the sale will go to support Ferrets Unlimited Rescue Services, a non profit 501(c)(3) charity.

What a Difference a Friend Makes

Ferrets Unlimited is participating in the What a Difference a Friend Makes Pet Day, a fundraising event for the Coalition for Children's Mental Health.

The event runs Saturday, May 23rd, from 9am to Noon at the Hudson Fire Department 40 S. Oviatt Street, Hudson, Ohio.

All proceeds benefit the Coalition for Children's Mental Health, a private, nonprofit. Please stop by and visit us if you are in the Hudson area!

Our friend, Abbott was adopted this past weekend! He was with us for almost two years and recently lost his cagemate, Costello, who passed away.

Sending love and hugs to Abbott in his new home. He will be living with another ferret that lost his cagemate. Hopefully they will be great friends.

I'm sure his foster family will miss him, but it's always good news when a shelter kid gets a forever home.

Bowling Fundraiser - Jan 18, 2009

Plase join us for our third annual bowling party at Meszar's Lanes on Sunday, January 18, 2009 from 5-9pm.

Tickets are only $20 each ($15 for children age 10 and under) and they include unlimited bowling, food and soft drinks. A cash bar will be available, too.

Door prizes, raffles, and a 50/50 drawing are part of the festivities.

This is a major fundraiser for the shelter, so we really appreciate your support.

Thank you to everyone that volunteered and those of you that visited our tables and supported us at our Border's fundraisers. We were lucky to be asked to visit the Border's Book store twice and both days were a great success. Everyone had a fantastic time and we all enjoyed meeting everyone that stopped by. Thanks again, we couldn't have done this without all of you.
