It’s been a joy to know these two and to play a small part in their story. Their genuine kindness, sweet love, awesome senses of humor, and the richness of the relationships they are surrounded by are all so evident. Their lives are extremely blessed, and all the more now that they are together.  This was also a special wedding for us because it took place two days after the birth of our baby boy, Tate.  We got the talented Tom Isaacson to stand in for Laura, and he did an amazing job.  Since Tate was a month early, we couldn’t have asked for a more understanding and compassionate couple to be willing to be flexible for the last minute change-up!

From their rehearsal at Chautauqua, to the wedding at First Presbyterian Church to their reception at the St. Julien Hotel, surrounded by many many loved ones, both Amy and Michael radiated joy, and I felt blessed to be witness to this exciting time in their lives.

Two awesome people in love (plus a sweet puppy), willing to dodge cars, perch on sheer cliffs, laugh, be goofy, be themselves, be natural? Most definitely.

Kelsey and Andrew, we had a great time getting to know the two of you more and we really hope you enjoy the photos. We’re really looking forward to the wedding in June!

Beth and Bryan, thank you so much for inviting us into this special evening in your lives. Laura and I had a blast, and being surrounded by such unique art in such a setting, with all your family and friends, was awesome. Even as relative outsiders, we loved getting the brief window into your lives. For that, thank you.

Fall in Santa Fe, perfect weather, autumn colors, lovely light.

La Posada Resort, with its beautiful gardens and unique art installations adorning every nook, cranny and corner, and tucked right next to downtown Santa Fe.

An intimate crowd of guests, a sweet ceremony, and cocktail hour spent listening to the beautifully rhythmic cantada of an all female mariachi band, munching on chips and guacamole and sipping on margaritas.

Dinner and heartfelt, hilarious toasts, followed by S’mores roasted over an open fire.  I’ve never been to a S’more wedding B’fore.

The flicker of cigars being lit, the smoke rising into the night, watching the smiles, hearing the laughter, being able to see the bonds that hold together Tom, Emily, and all their loved ones.
Laura and I felt blessed to be a part of Tom and Emily’s Santa Fe wedding, and had such a blast capturing the photos below. Tom and Emily, we hope you enjoy them, and thank you for bringing us down to Santa Fe to be a part of your day. We were honored to be there.

Who? Two awesome people, named Sarah and Greg, getting married. Check.

The setting? A gorgeous farm, by the name of Frogbelly, north of Boulder and along the Front Range. Check.

The details? Impeccable. Beautiful. I wanted to eat them (and not just the cupcakes). I kind of wanted to even take a bite out of the old wagon they were perched atop.

The food? Farm to table – 90% grown, made, or raised right on the very farm it was eaten that night.  Does it get any better? Check and Mark.

The people? Nearly two hundred boisterous, fun-loving family and friends in attendance.  Check.

The light? Think golden, soft and beautiful, fading to a lovely sunset, to a calm night lit with candles, bare-bulb lights, a fire, and the rocking glow coming from the barn.

The memories? The laughing, smiling, the genuine love I saw between Sarah, Greg and their family and friends, and let’s not forget the dancing. Loving every minute of my job, feeling blessed to get to be a part of such a time.

Sarah and Greg, your wedding was amazing! The two of you are so fantastically easygoing that it all seemed to flow like milk and honey. Or fresh churned butter. Or OW-50 motor oil. What I’m trying to say is – your wedding was awesome, and we really enjoyed getting to be a part of it. We really hope you enjoy the photos, and that you, your kids and grandkids will do so for years to come.
