CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management.
In its basic form, CRM allows you to record details about Companies and Contacts you deal with – be they Customers, Suppliers, Prospects etc
Emails, phone calls and appointments can then be linked against these records. This allow companies to build up a history over time.

Ideally, everyone in a company should have access to the corporate CRM solution, allowing anyone who takes a call to quickly see what other members of staff have been saying. Allowing others to deal with the queries, this makes companies more efficient and helps provide a better level of service.

Microsoft has released Update Rollup 11 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Server, Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Data Migration Manager, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Language Packs, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 E-mail Router.

You must have Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 installed to apply this update rollup. Update Rollup 7 is a prerequisite for Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Data Migration Manager.

The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Team have released Rollup 6 for MS CRM 4.

This is a cumulative update for MS CRM 4 and now also includes Microsoft CRM 4 Mobile Express., a free addon for Microsoft CRM which allows mobile devices and PDAs to access CRM content via their device's web browser.

To be able to use CRM 4 Mobile Express from a mobile device with on-premise CRM installations, you must have CRM configured as an IFD (Internet Facing Deployment).
