I shot this beautiful wedding in August of this truly amazing couple.  We started at the Hyatt Downtown and moved to St. Bertrand Church for the ceremony by trolley, and then back to the Hyatt.  I really can’t say enough about this couple to tell you how being in their presence make you feel, to me it was like the friends I grew up with down the block.  I really wish I could show you more, but here’s a few of my favorites.  Thanks Amanda & Joe!

Here’s a collection of photos from one Ballard High School senior of two I had the pleasure of photographing today.  The outfits were great along with the amazing weather.  I was super pleased with the outcome of this session and anticipated getting these out.  I can only hope she had as much fun as I did, minus the run in with the railway authorites.  Seriously.

I had the extreme privilege to fly down to Seaside, Florida this past weekend to shoot a wedding.  Amidst the steamy heat, it was a treasure trove of beautiful beach landscapes to architecture designed with simple luxury in mind.  And not only did I get to shoot a wedding here, but with an amazing couple!  There were a lot of “firsts”this weekend, but I would have to say my favorite was when the bride said, “I think were gonna jump in the pool later, in my dress. You want to shoot that?”  Uhh, yes!  I had already new this was going to be fun and laid back wedding, but it just went up another 2 notches.  Starting at Rollands Beauty Bar & Gallery we moved to the beach house to get the dress and then out to shoot with the groom.  We crashed someones else’s reception (not really they weren’t there yet) to get some shots at the boat house and on a cool bridge then headed to the beach for the ceremony.  Of coarse I had a list of ideals I wanted to try on the beach and we got through most but getting IN the ocean.  After all that would spoil the pool shot and to which I would have loved to had more shots there but, ……..well we might have been pushing curfew.  I was also amazed at all the friends and family who had flown and drove  in to be there.  I had a great time, super tasty food, and sweet lodging in those three days and it was a truly awesome part of my job to be able to have these images too.

Kaitlin & Vince: A Seaside Wedding is a post from Louisville Wedding Photographer

In preparation of a gorgeous wedding tomorrow here in sunny & hot Seaside, Florida, I took this amazing duo out for a quick shoot to absorb some of the scenics.  I really can’t explain how cool it is here.  Amazing architecture blended with lush landscaping and sand makes for a excellent wedding or vacation getaway.  I tried while I was with these two to capture both the texture of the town and the chemistry of Kaitlin and Vince, but I think the texture was trumped by the chemistry.  I was blown away on how cool and comfortable it was to be around these two and I’m truly excited to shoot the wedding and festivities tomorrow.  Their little man was napping so you’ll have to wait to see how cute he is till their next blog post.
