The tour covers all the main cities in Scotland and the North East and sees The South promoting new single The Entertainer and other tracks from their forthcoming album. This is the first release from the 15 million selling  reformed giants of pop.

Following a year of sell out gigs that included 100 Club, IndigO2 & Clapham Grand the Van Susans are hot to get back on stage with fresh material from their forthcoming album. Six-piece indie band Van Susans kick off the year with their brand new single Bricks Not Sticks Or Straw, continuing the band’s wave of success that saw their debut EP We Could Be Scenery championed by 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins & XFM’s Steve Harris.

Airplay on more than 30 UK radio stations, excellent write-ups in God Is In The TV & more, video broadcasts on SubTV plus packed houses at The 100 Club / IndigO2 all point towards 2012 being a breakthrough year for Van Susans with the release their debut album scheduled for early summer.

The single Bricks Not Sticks Or Straw is a powerful slice of guitar/pop led by the driving guitars of Ed Dullaway which underpin lead vocalist Olly Andrews’s unique lyrical delivery inspired by a fairy tale told to all of us in early childhood. In the song Olly sings of building on long term successes whilst accepting that sometimes there are days when it can ‘all come crashing down’, and how learning from these events can only make you stronger.

Taking inspiration along the way, from bands like Death Cab For Cutie, Jimmy Eat World and Metallica/Paramore, the Van Susans have been working with new UK producer Oli Som who learnt his trade during a stint at a Nashville studio before coming back to the UK where he is currently working with a select few emerging indie bands including Van Susans.

Together this prolific producer/artist team have made an album brimming with moments of inspiration that use rich guitar, piano and string arrangements to create a sound that’s timeless in feel, yet connects with today’s young audiences, as expressed by the band’s fast expanding online and gig-going fanbase.

Lead vocalist and lyricist Olly Andrews seems to have written his own mantra for success in the track, as he urges the listener to ‘…stick to your guns, you’ve got to be strong, gotta take every chance that comes along’

With the Van Susans’ upcoming album due for release this summer, it’s looking like this mantra just might work for the band as they continue to build their music career on solid tunes.

Electro pioneer Dave Ball’s brilliant & fearless Nitewreckage return with the Double A-side Dirty Fingernails and debut album title track Take Your Money And Run complete with remixes by Dirty Vegas & Sonny Wharton.

The band, featuring feisty force of nature Celine Hispiche on lead vocals, production partner Rick Mulhall and drummer Terry Neale have had a busy summer playing festivals and gigs promoting the Martin Rushent produced album Take You Money And Run from which the release is taken.

This Double A-Side sees raconteur Celine dish out a dose of urban realism in the comic-book character enthused track Dirty Fingernails (featuring guest appearance from Harry McVeigh of White Lies) and then takes us on a trip through Soho’s backstreets for an encounter with the area’s underbelly on Take Your Money And Run.

These darkly comedic tracks have been cunningly packaged alongside two extended club remixes of Dirty Fingernails. First up is club chart toppers Vegas Baby!, who remix Celine’s infectious vocal hooks inside a classic analogue soundscape. Whilst club maestro Sonny Wharton, delivers a heady injection of harmonica infused dance groove tastefully sprinkled with percussive vocal samples and euphoric FX sweeps. The result of which, takes Nitewreckage’s sonic maelstrom into a whole new arena.

In addition to the audio there’s also a video for Dirty Fingernails that sees Celine (and friends) in choreographed dance mode amidst a graffiti’d urban backdrop whilst harmonica totting Dave Ball and production partner Rick Mulhall (aka remix team NiteWreckers) both give semaphor a reinvention for the modern day streets of London.

Before fronting Nitewreckage, Celine’s earlier activities ranged from Capital Radio presenter to opening up for Harry Hill, La Roux and the Human League, whilst electro beats maestro Dave Ball found fame as one half of Soft Cell along with Marc Almond before becoming founder member of club/dance outfit The Grid in the 90’s.
