Estimated this morning that I still have about 50 hours of work left this week. Going to be a long week. Probably lots of tweets! #
Still at work, when I'm done at 8 tonight, I'll have finished 13 hours of work. The machine counts funny. Still 37 to go though. Long week #
32 hours to go this week…. Making headway today though. Should be out of here around 7-8 again. #
Still at work 24 hours to go! I think I'll be outta here at 8 with about 20 left. That's over half. It's been a long week. #
16 hours and one kitchen to go! We're gonna make it, tomorrow is going to last forever… #

Home from work finally 12.5 hours today and a broken machine! woo hoo, installing Quicken 2010. Life of a married man! #
Horray! The machine lives. One more night of working hard, then tomorrow to Chicago and then sleep on Sunday. Monday is back to Dayton! #
Home, it feels awesome to just sit and relax. Watching Man on the Moon and heading to bed soon. Chi-town and smoque tomorrow! #

On my way to Dayton. I-70 and iPod, peaceful Monday morning FTW! Back to work late tonight. #
On my way back on 36, signal crappy SMod, TWiT, Carolla 'casts done. Back at work around 2. Lots to do this week. #
At El Caporal in Louisville. Our CNC is broke, they are working on the main board now. We have too much to do this week to have problems. #
Hurt at work today, my foot caught under a piece of stone, HUGE bruise on the top it, x-rays didn't show anything, pills and rest for a week #
Working late tonight, on restriction from lifting but not from watching the machine run. Will be a long weekend. Way behind here #
Still working, looks like it could be 10 or 11 before I leave… Tomorrow will be long too #
Worked until 1030 last night, back in at 8 this morning, might get out of here a bit early today though. Like 5! #

It’s time to dump the dead-end issues that have wasted too much time already. Old men shouldn’t be allowed to doze off at the switch and muck up the works for the young who will have to repair the damage. Get over yourselves. Your replacements have arrived, and you should think about them now and then. Enough with the shrieking. Pass healthcare reform.

Two days in a row!

This marks the first time in a long time that I’ve posted twice in a row. Amazing.

Work today was boring as all get out, I ran 4 parts all day, but the sad thing is, those 4 parts took all day to run, I just waited and watched as the same thing was made 4 times.

We had red beans and rice for dinner tonight, our old standby meal, I kinda made up the recipe a while back and we both love it, although tonight Erin said it didn’t hit the spot for her, I think that was more her problem than my cooking though. I’ve noticed lately that I want to wrap everything I eat in a tortilla and basically have red beans and rice tacos or chicken cordon bleu tacos. I feel like it’s the lazy man’s way of eating really. Probably a habit I should work on breaking.

We worked on thank you notes tonight from the wedding gifts we received, three weeks later. We’re almost done and will have those out in the mail by the end of the week.

I’m still trying to get settled in, I have stuff to unpack and put away still but by the time I get home, clean up, and eat dinner, I’m usually done. I’ll find the time eventually.

Off to watch the DVR and chill for a bit, another long day is shaping up for tomorrow.

Getting back into the swing of things

I think that the best way to move forward with this blog that is approaching 10 years old now is to give you a quick (very quick) update and then move back into the journaling that made this site was it once was.

Update since the last “real” post: Saw about 8 Indians games. Got married to Erin 09/09/09. Let it Be by the Beatles was “our” song, found out on the honeymoon it was written while Paul was on drugs and Mary came to him in a dream. Went to French Lick for the honeymoon, gambled with $30 walked out an hour later with $30. Spent all summer working on the wedding and the house. The backyard grass is growing nicely. The front yard looks like crap. Money dried up for working on the yard/house early in the summer. Work has been up and down, I work on the stone CNC machine now and pretty much love working with machines and my hands now. Setup the Man Cave in the basement over the last 2 weeks and now have everything pretty much where I want it. Became entirely sick of politics, health care, the wars, etc., I just don’t care anymore really right now.

OK, so now that we’re up to date, sorta, let’s move forward.

Today was the first day that we’ve needed the furnace. It was 68 in the house when Erin got home, of course it didn’t light or even turn the blower motor on. Called the guy and found out that yet again the transformer went out, fixed, warm again.

The CNC has been having problems all over the place lately. Today I fixed the halo water and then broke the spindle water, that may not mean much to most people but suffice to say that I fixed one problem and created another one. This is all on top of the electrical problems I’ve been having with it. It never ends.

I mowed today, the grass wasn’t too long but more importantly I got the leaves picked up.

Today was also the day that I finally broke my lease at the apartment. I’m getting my deposit back and 2 days rent as well, if I would have known that they were returning the rent money I would have broken it a week ago. Oh well, a little found money is just as good I suppose.

In a few days I should have everything put away from the apartment and feel totally moved in I suppose.

We still have to write thank you notes, 3 weeks after the wedding, is that too late? I guess something is better than nothing right?

At Kohls in Kokomo. Looking at a Shark steam floor cleaner for hardwood. Any thoughts out there? Hurry need to know now. #
