Hi Fuzzy Radio x denizen:

Wow. It’s been three years. I stumbled across the Revelations Radio Network back in 2008. Life was completely topsy-turvy for me at the time, and I’d long since stopped researching conspiracy theories (I’d previously had my mind blown by information I’d researched back in 2001/02). The excellent casting of Frank Lordi caught my attention and held it. I was inspired, though pod casting myself seemed to be a goal that could never come to fruition. I used to be a public speaker. I’d given speeches. I’d given sermons. I’d run organizations… but, in 2008, I was also uncomfortable in my own skin and I was scared. I was afraid of rejection. I was afraid of being tongue-tied. I hadn’t spoken in public for years by this point. Most egregiously, however, was the fact that I didn’t think that God could use me. All that changed with my first phone call to the Frank and Chris Show. I was compelled to call. I just had to take that one step, and the ride of a lifetime would soon be underway.

Long story short: I did step out of my comfort zone, and I did call in to my favourite podcast while it was still hosted with Talkshoe.com. I was thrust into a world of spiritual battles, technological difficulties, and true camaraderie, not to mention Fuzzy Radio x. I loved my fellow casters (Frank, Chris, T, Ziggy, Mark C, CJ, Derek T, and the rest). I’d found a home… a place where the stagnant Christianity I’d been exposed to was no longer good enough… a place where honest conversation could take place in a safe environment where thousands of people witnessed it all and felt at home. I thought that I was alone on the Island of Misfit toys, but alone I found myself no longer.

Some of you have opened up yourselves to me over the years, and I’ve come to really be interested in your stories and in your trials. I think of Adam from Friendswood, Tamara, Jesse, Angela, Daniel, Demas, Darren, Larry, kane, Rena, Gonny, Robert, and so many others. I truly looked forward to hearing from you… my friends. Some people told me that what I had to say had totally changed how they pictured Christianity and their walk with God. One person even gave me the blessing of knowing that I played a part in their coming to accept Jesus as personal saviour. Humbling… big time!!!

As time went on, the network had its ups and downs. There were many brothers who’ve moved on to other areas… some under happy circumstances… some not so much. One constant has been my love and concern for them. I’d met some people who were borderline ‘heroic” in my eyes (Derek G, Doctor Future and Tom Bionic, Bruce C, Stephan, etc) and have seen some of the ‘newer blood’ really shine (Tim K). All-in-all, the perfect ride.

It hasn’t come as a big surprise to many that my casting has been sparse, to say the least. There’s been obstacles, both physically and spiritually, and one of my missions was to never release a show if my heart wasn’t in the right place at the time of recording. Trust me, I’ve had scuttle many a show over the last few years. Some were truly ready for release, but I just couldn’t do it. It’s that sensitivity to the spiritual work inside of me, and the sanctification process that I’ve found myself in (wrestling with God) that leads me to my current realization that Fuzzy Radio x is to be discontinued.

Could I still do more? Yes… I’d love to. Is there more I feel as if I want to say? Absolutely. I just know, however, that God’s plan for me does not include pod casting… at least not at this time. God willing, that heart impression with lift and I will, again, feel as if I can lay it all out there for you. I just do not feel as if I have permission to do so, though. Could this change at some point? Sure… why not. I pray that it does. I love doing this, but I love the Lord more. Let’s be honest, though. Despite my best intentions… it just wasn’t really going anywhere.

So, what are my plans? It’s funny… due to concerns for my health, I have more time than ever, and, yet, seem to get so little done. My goal, however, is to study the Bible vigorously. I’m working on a walk-through of the book of Revelation. Bible prophecy is neato. As well, I’m trying to work on both my writing (in the form of a fictional story involving a young girl who finds herself flung into what we would call the spiritual world), and musical experimentation. Yes, the Fuzzy Radio song was a James original, and I hope to see how far I can expand on that theme. I didn’t forget about the family…lol. After God’s presence in my heart, I commit myself fully to my lovely bride and to my two young sons. They are my everything, and I would truly be lost without them.

I hope to be back, folks. I’d really love and cherish your prayers, and, while this website is still here, please feel free to contact me at james@fuzzyradiox.com. If you need me. I’ll be there.

All my love!

James the Canadian Guy

On March 11, 2011: a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck Japan off of the coast of Miyagi prefecture (located in the northern Tohoku region of the country). Tsunami waves soon followed, carrying away houses, cars, and possibly thousands of people. Nature wracked and damaged nuclear power plants are poisoning the air and the waters. There are a lot of disasters occurring out there, eh? You can’t possibly pretend that every disaster hits you where is hurts, right?

This one does for me, though, and I know that it does for some of you as well. I think you know when God pushes you past your daily grind and into action. If you are called to action, and submitting a donation is the way you need to do it, I’ve got a couple of avenues you may not have considered yet:

http://fuzzyradiox.com/japan/ … or click the link above and to the right–^

Give directly to Japanese relief efforts on Japanese soil. Give where it can directly affect change in the name of Christ and through Christ’s people in Japan.

Fuzzy Radio x (10/07/23) Unintended Episode on Spiritual Warfare

You’re to be forgiven if you download the latest FZZY and think that, in fact, the title of this show is actually: “Fuzzy Radio x – Fuzzy News 2 w/ CJ from Sword of the Spirit”. Friday’s Fuzzy Radio was a total 180? departure from what was initially imagined. Just visualize.. James has the gall and audacity to circumvent RRN conventional thought and actually record an impromptu show based on an entirely different concept than was originally advertised and prepared for. Okay… it’s not that big of a deal, but James decides that the proverbial show MUST go on after CJ was forced to postpone his appearance on the program in favor of family commitments. Family is first, as it should rightfully be. And, on this evening, Fuzzy News would wait.

James has had a couple of items on his mind for quite some time now, and Friday presented a fortuitous opening to “freestyle” a show based around the idea of “Spiritual Warfare” and how it manifests itself in many practical and commonplace ways. Our struggle against flesh and blood doesn’t have to be an ethereal concept floating nebulously above us, just out of reach of our mental construct. In fact, we’re in the trenches EVERY DAY… and decisions we make on a daily basis reflects our position in the spiritual whether we like it or not. It’s best to be aware of where we stand. James connects the dots from his time leading youth groups in the 1990s through to his work on the Revelations Radio Network. This show is very RRN-specific, so if you’re unfamiliar with the network or the other shows therein contained, then consider this the caveat before you download…. oh… and about the name: God bless talkshoe, but they make it quite difficult to adjust information once it has already been predetermined. Depending on what feed you obtain this show from, it could really be named almost anything… false advertising unintended. Frx denizens enjoy

It’s completely apropos that James had and experiential reference point for this show based upon thanksgiving-through-difficulties. As egregious as the technical difficulties were in producing this show, James only sighed gently and raised his eyebrows in mild disgust. In short: Audacity ate his first copy of the program.

Fuzzy Radio x (12/24/09) Can I Say Merry Christmas?

Merry Christmas

Yes, you heard me correctly. I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas… a heartfelt and sincere wish. This, despite the intricacies surrounding the outright deception and manipulation inherent in even in the deepest subtleties of the concept. Within the auspices of this small band, we stand at the crossroads of realization versus tradition. What of the old must go, and what is permissible to stay. As new social normative structures are established, old and – as we are now led to believe – corrupt ways are discarded. Thus, here we stand. Eye to eye, staring blankly, looking for the “proper” response to what was once so intuitive. To this I say simply and humbly, “Merry Christmas”.

It’s a lie… we’ve come to know this. Is it all a lie? This is inherently so. In this age of the cynic… where the questions lead to questions lead to differing heights of superiority in our supposed knowledge and mastery over the arcane… we revel in our perception of distance from the grid. The Christ was not born on December 25th. This is true. Even the child that that I was knew of this, and wondered not how I could be so blind. Instead, the day, whatever its etymology, stood on the merits of each passing annum. One year would seem innocent, the next less so.

Commercialism existed from the beginning… the toy commercials grander, more numerous and blatant in their enticements. Christmas was a December tradition of excesses… then it encroached upon the blowing leaves and snow and brisk airs of November… now, ever creeping into the hollows of October and it’s “Hallows Eve”… where the spirits are said to lie restless at the door, waiting the invitation to knock solidly at society’s silent veneer.

How can we doubt that we’ve been led down the proverbial primrose path? The white lie of the Saint Nicholas, the passing traditions of Sinterklaas, the consumerist’s Coca-Cola-Clause, and the dark rabbit trails of Krampus, Belsnickel, Black Peter, and Servant Rupert. Is the child you once were mindful of these things?

And what of our connective ties to December’s winter solstice, and the vast array of celebrations that herald the death and regeneration of the sun? This is not to even neglect the implication on some very non-Christian spheres of history collecting occultist and illuminist traditions of Osiris, Usirus, Asar, Aser, Ausar, Ausir, Wesir, Usir, Usire or Ausare. This motley collection of pronunciations and iterations that have led us into the belief in cycles of life, death, and supposed resurrection through the reoccurring memes of dying god, rising son, and universal mother figure. Early Christianity prostituted the truths of Yeshua Ha Machiach, Iesus Christos, our Lord Jesus the Christ for peace with the establishment and Saturnalian revelry. Now we rightly question tradition, motivation, and direction. Do we know, or want to know, more? Are we now stymied?

Consider all the traditions of men and of spirits that we now question… so innocently introduced into the wondrous consciousness of a child: holiday gift giving, wreaths, yule logs, mistletoe, Christmas trees… all elements with a past. Does the Bible even speak to this, God’s passions inflamed against even the participation? The case, though not crystal, is compelling. Now, will we consider the dangers of cauterizing this open wound with the opposing imposition of anti-revelry in general… anti-merriment in practice? Where does that leave us? What does your heart say?

Do we turn our backs on it all, or “claim it for Christ”? Is Jesus the “reason for the season”, or is it a confirmed square block that we’ve insisted on wedging into the round hole of society? Do we concede or fight, or is it a red herring? North American Christianity ignores the herring as even a possibility… camps are fortified and sides are chosen… every television commercial omitting Christ another brick in the wall. Every “seasons greetings” is a calliper used to divide. Somewhere, another soul laughs at our confusion and mocks our naïve floundering.

So Merry Christmas I say to you all today. This is not “Merry Christmas” in any commercialized sense, nor do I offer it as a tool for division. I do not say “Merry Christmas” because it is political, and do not revel in the possibility of its use as a tool for polarization.

I say Merry Christmas to you in the same sense as I would have said it when I was a child, before I conceived of commercialism. I say it now as I meant it before I cared about what I was about to unwrap in the early hours of Christmas morning… uniformed in pajamas with no socks. I say it not for the magic that surrounded the Christmas season in my youth, but from the bottom of the heart of the boy that I was… in all innocence and all contriteness. I say Merry Christmas from the right and from the left, from the sinner and from the saint, and from a place that Jesus would gladly describe as “coming unto one as a child”… for then, and only then, can you conceive of the love of the Father given so freely through our being as a sacrificial act of the Holy Spirit through the broken vessel known as man. In the spirit of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ… I offer my heart’s desire, and fulfillment of Christ’s stated commandments, set for emulation. As cliché an idiom as it is: Merry Christmas and Peace on Earth, Goodwill to men. Love to you all.
