If you ask anyone who lives in the town I was born what are the interesting spots to see, they’ll answer right away: “The Sluice Dam”. It is a huge thing for such a small town, and it makes everyone proud when someone out of town comes to see it.

Feltros Renner’s Virtual Tour

Feltros Renner (more about the company and its site here) is based on a very old and classic building that was part of the growth of Porto Alegre, it is a nice place to have a virtual tour, even if the building itself isn’t part of the company’s business.

Pimp My Fusca

Not sure if this is a game, it’s probably more like a simulator where you can pimp your VW Beetle, or Fusca, as it’s called in Brazil. You can change the collors, rims, bumpers, suspension height, etc. You can find it in Kongregate as well.

Porto Alegre At Night

This is a good example of a landscape virtual tour, unfortunately, it isn’t a full 360° image since it was taken from my apartment’s window, so you will be able to see the break in the image. The image shows the night at Porto Alegre, RS – Brazil, the city where I live.

Feltros Renner is one of the biggest felt companies in Brazil, exporting their products to several countries around the world. They’re on the market since 92, with loyal customers and great quality products.

The site was made in Joomla, my former CMS of choice, with some flash animations, virtual tours and even pictures taken by me.

The site is also available in English and Spanish, with the original language being Portuguese.

One More Time

This is probably the 10th time that I have created a brand new site entirely from scratch. Why, you ask? Well I have a couple of reasons for that:

“This layout is so last year”
“Sites made entirely using Flash are the new black, cool animations”
“Flash sites are heavy, I’ll use a CMS, Joomla it is”
“WTF Albanian hackers?”
“F***** Joomla”
And finally this one

One common thing happened to all sites: I abandoned them. It’s cool to create a new layout, fill it with content and publish it, it’s completely different story to update it. I promised myself that this time, since I’ve even downloaded the WordPress app on my iPhone, I’ll update and maintain it.

I’ll leave you with a song with the same name as this post, from the best duo in the world, Daft Punk – One More Time.
