Remember the news in late December about an 11.6-inch Galaxy Tab with a display resolution of 2560 x 1600? That tablet is back in the headlines now and it’s expected to launch (be announced) at Mobile World Congress which is between Feb 27 – Mar 1.

The details of this rumor mirror those from the one in late December. Again, it’s expected to be 11.6-inch in size, with that 2560 x 1600 display, a 2.0GHz Samsung Exynos 5250 processor and Android 4.0. Apparently, the tablet was even privately seen at CES at the start of this year.

Incidentally, you also might remember back in October last year, Samsung showcased its own Pentile based 2560 x 1600 display, so the technology is ready to go for even 10-inch tablets.

Remember the Galaxy Tab 10.1N – a slight tweak in the design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 as to allow it to be sold in Germany? (so it doesn’t look like an iPad). Well, now Samsung have done the same thing to the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus with the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus N. Same deal with the bezel encroaching a little on the front bezel on top and bottom.

As with the 10.1N there’s nothing new on the inside or even with the screen, it’s still got the same 1024 x 600 PLS display, a 1.2GHz dual-core Samsung processor, 16GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, micro SDHC card reader, 4,000 mAh battery and front and rear cameras.

It’ll ship with Android 3.2 Honeycomb and get an upgrade to Android 4.0 ICS when it becomes available.

Samsung’s already got white models of its Galaxy Tab tablets but no matter the model, they all sport black bezels. Not anymore. New models with white bezels, in particular, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and Galaxy Tab 10.1 were shown off in Vietnam where they’ll later go on sale. No word on if they’ll be available elsewhere but I’m sure you’ll at least see them across Asia.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, the highest end 7-inch tablet, is now available in some countries. It’s up and in stock at Mobicity in Australia, priced from $599 for the 16GB, Wi-Fi model and $699 for a 3G / 16GB model and in Japan, it’s available through Expansys – the same site says its not available yet in either the U.S or the U.K.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 sports a 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a 1280 x 800 resolution, a 1.4GHz dual-core processor and runs Android 3.2 with TouchWiz UX on top. These early models are only avaliable with 16GB of internal storage and in a grey color, with Wi-Fi or 3G.

When it comes to Samsung’s 7-inch Galaxy Tab tablets, there’s the original Galaxy Tab, the newer Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and the upcoming Galaxy Tab 7.7. The “7.0 Plus” sports a PLS display like on the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 but the 7.7 will adopt a 7.7-inch AMOLED display.

Samsung might also have another 7-inch tablet with an AMOLED display in the works – if not Samsung, then the company will at least provide the panel for other manufacturers, so you can expect 7-inch AMOLED tablets this year. Inside word from the source of this news is that Asus and Sony will be releasing AMOLED tablets.

Compared to the 7.7-inch AMOLED panel in the upcoming Galaxy Tab 7.7, this 7.0-inch AMOLED panel is almost twice as bright at 400 nits compared to 250 nits but sports a lower resolution 1024 x 600 as opposed to 1280 x 800.

According to a press release, the Galaxy S II smartphone and 5.3-inch Galaxy Note will be the first devices to get Android 4.0 in the first quarter of next year with the “other GALAXY devices” soon following.

The tablets eligible include all the Galaxy Tabs except for the original 7-incher, so the Galaxy Tab 10.1, 8.9, 7.0 Plus and the soon to be released Galaxy Tab 7.7.

I had just mentioned yesterday that the Galaxy Tab 7.7 appears to be gearing up for a release in Australia soon (and officially out in Nordic Europe by the end of this month) and today that appears to be the case in the U.S as well. Nothing official yet but the tablet has been spotted with 4G LTE in Verizon’s internal product system as of the 7th of December (hence the date, which is not a release date).
