Es altamente recomendable pinchar en la imagen para ver mejor este retrato de Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Los que quieran apreciar aún mejor los detalles de la obra pueden seguir el enlace anterior, donde hay indicaciones para descargarse un CMYK TIFF @ 300DPI 11″x14″ (unos 20Mb comprimido en ZIP).

También sugiero ojear los otros trabajos de Jonas Fleuraime (el autor) en deviantART. Se ve que ya había trabajado este estilo de composición con anterioridad, aunque para mi gusto este es el mejor trabajo de este tipo que tiene hasta la fecha.

Si seguís mis elementos compartidos de Google Reader es posible que también lo conozcáis. La propuesta del sitio es bastante sencilla:

Si todavía no conocéis esta colección de proyectos os recomiendo echarle un ojo, hay algunos que son realmente espectaculares. Ayer, en el blog de Google Chrome, destacaban uno de estos experimentos, The Wilderness Downtown:

Choreographed windows, interactive flocking, custom rendered maps, real-time compositing, procedural drawing, 3D canvas rendering… this Chrome Experiment has them all. “The Wilderness Downtown” is an interactive interpretation of Arcade Fire’s song “We Used To Wait” and was built entirely with the latest open web technologies, including HTML5 video, audio, and canvas.

El resultado es, como poco, muy curioso. Es una lástima que los caminos de diseño y desarrollo que abren las nuevas funcionalidades de los navegadores se vean perjudicados por el uso de otros navegadores totalmente desfasados.

Recomiendo echarle una oreja al enlace que pone en su mensaje porque la demo realmente merece la pena:

Un amiguete mío y yo hemos acabado de grabar, remezclar, masterizar y esas cosas unas cancioncitas que compusimos hace tiempo, y estamos a ver si le damos caña y montamos un grupete que nos saque del andamio. Así que os mando esta dirección en la que los temas se pueden escuchar y descargar por si alguien conoce a un batería que le pueda interesar el tema y que le venga bien ensayar en Alcorcón. Y sí, antes de que algún graciosete diga algo, se agradecería también un cantante que sepa lo que hace y tal. Pero de momento la prioridad es es el batería.

Esta creación de Steve Averill llamada Spruce Bruce aparecía en MAKE el mes pasado. Cuando Steven Adler dice que Matt Sorum no tiene corazón ni alma (refiriéndose a su forma de tocar la batería) probablemente esté algo confundido y se esté refiriendo a este otro baterista.
