Online gambling rules are simple and once understood, players can begin gambling from the comfort of their home. There are several common online gambling rules that a player needs to follow.

The most important rule is the legal age limit for a gambler and is fixed at eighteen years of age. This means that no one under the age of eighteen can play games on the Internet. The terms and conditions given on gambling sites can be helpful in further understanding the rules of on-line gambling.

Many gambling sites insist that the player download the software, which is required for playing online games. The compatibility of the player’s computer is important because it determines the efficiency and speed of the software that is to be downloaded.

Online accounts are mandatory if the player wants to bet or gamble and these accounts can be opened when the player makes an initial deposit. The method of payment may differ according to the casino, site, or country from which the player gambles. The rules about proper deposition of money are usually given on the site itself.

Sometimes bonuses are offered for players who have opened new accounts and the rules regarding the percentage of bonus are different for various sites. Some sites have even gone ahead and banned American players from gambling on their sites because of the ambiguity of American gambling laws. Some states such as Illinois have banned Internet gambling but other state laws allow it.

Although states such as Illinois have banned Internet gambling, gaming for charitable reasons is not banned. Non-profit organizations and other such institutions are allowed to host gambling games for pro-bono purposes.

The online gaming industry is constantly expanding and people are more inclined to play on-line because of the many advantages that the on-line casino and gambling industry provides. The rules and regulations of online gambling may slowly change over the years because of the large influx of players in this business.

It is no secret that slot machines are big business for every casino you will set foot into. These days, the slot machines will bring in a significant percentage of the profit for your average casino. So how can you use the slot machines to get a little extra for yourself? Check out this article to learn the single smartest play you can make before you battle the one-armed bandits.

No matter what denomination of slot machine you choose to play, from the penny and nickel slots all the way up to the high roller machines, there is one thing that every slot player simply must do before they sit down and insert their money. Regardless of how casual a slot player you are, the benefits of this action can be significant. The best part is that it will only cost you a few minutes of your time.

This thing is joining the slot club or player’s club of the casino that you’re playing at. Different casinos will refer to them by different names, and they will usually have a theme similar to that of the casino itself. The way the slot club works is relatively simple and straight forward. Upon filling out the application, you will be given a card. It is the same size as your average credit or debit card. When you sit down in front of your machine of choice, you will notice that there is a slot in the machine for you to insert your slot club card. Playing the machine with your card inserted will allow the casino to electronically track how much you have spent playing a particular machine, and on slots at the casino in general if you should move from machine to machine.

Now, you might be asking yourself, “Why would I want to do that? The answer to this question is very simple.

Comps. It’s all about the comps.

“Comp” is short for complimentary, and that means exactly what you probably think it means. For wagering certain amounts with the slot machines (as well as other games, but for this example we will stay with slots), you will receive freebies from the casino. These can come in many forms. For example, you might build up credit with the casino that you can use at the slot machines whenever you like. This basically amounts to free money for you to gamble with.

Some rewards are larger, such as complimentary trips to a buffet or other restaurant at the casino. If the place you are playing at has a hotel, you might get a discounted room rate (or even free nights). If you’re a really high roller, you might get airfare or shuttle service to and from the casino.

The best part of all this? Well, there are two best parts, actually. The first one is that you don’t have to be a “high roller” to get the benefits of the slot club. When my wife and I first got to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, we never played anything bigger than penny slots. Still, every month, we’d get mailings from the casino telling us that we had free money to play with. It wasn’t a lot of money for playing at that level, but even $5 for free is better than $0 for free.

The other best part is that, by and large, these clubs are free to join. All you need to do is go to the player’s club counter at the casino and give the worker behind the desk some information, usually your address, and show them a photo ID. You can establish your PIN right there, and your card will be in your hands in less than five minutes. Then you can start racking up the free stuff! There are a few slot clubs that do charge a fee, so you will have to decide for yourself whether or not it will be beneficial for you.

So before you start playing at a new casino, make sure you hit the window for the slot club or player’s club. It can’t possibly hurt you, and you will definitely see benefits out of it. Get out and start cashing in!

Want to crush the casinos? Desire to make your bank account so large that Donald Trump will ask to borrow meal money? Then arm yourself with the knowledge available at Way of the Gambler [http://www.wayofthegambler.com], the biggest storehouse of gambling guides available.

This article shows casino slot players how to win a jackpot by using 10 essential tips. Any slot machine lovers will benefit from these strategies for winning big one.

Slot machines contain a “random number generator” (RNG) microcomputer that constantly spits out numbers. These random numbers correspond to positions on each of the reels in the machine. When a player pulls the handle or pushes the spin button he is not really initiating anything except the spinning of the reels, which is merely for show. He is simply telling the machine to display the reel positions that correspond to the last set of random numbers that were generated.

Certain tips on how to win a jackpot

The following are the tips of playing successfully in a slot machine.

Only play the best paying machines – Look for machines that payout between 95 and 99 percent. These are mostly $1 and higher machines.

Play non-progressive machines – This is because the random number generators are programmed to produce a higher number of reels and symbols on progressive jackpot machines.

Bribe a casino employee – Ask an employee in the slots area which machines are the best. Offer them a cut of your profits for helping you.

Physical placement – When picking a machine, location factor must be looked into. The physical placement of the machine is an indicator of how loose or tight the machine is. Loose slots are found near the change booths, on elevated carousels, near the coffee shop/cafe/snack bar, etc. You must avoid tight slots. They are generally placed near casino entrances, around or near the sports book/racing areas, near the ticket/show lines, etc.

Do not play multiple-payline slots – Although it seems like one can have better chances playing multiple-payline slot machine, you are increasing the odds against you drastically.

Always use your slots card – Do not forget to insert your players’ card in the reader before you begin playing and do not forget to take it with you when you leave.

Play with coins rather than bills – If you want to get the most play for your money, feed the machines coins rather than using bills. However, make sure that the payout percentage is worth your time.

Know when to stop – Discipline is necessary when gambling, regardless of what casino game it is. It’s very easy to just keep playing because you think you are minutes away from the jackpot, but that can be dangerous. Pocket 25% or 50% or 75% and add the remainder to your bankroll for more playing, or keep it all.

Try the machine next to you if yours is not paying off – According to industry sources, the casinos hardly place two loose machines next to each other. If you are uncertain on whether your machine is loose, it may not hurt to try the machines on either side of you.

Contrary to popular belief, the casinos do not “hide” or move their best machines simply because people find and play them. The casinos want them to be played. When slot machine players see and hear someone hitting a jackpot, it motivates them to pump more money into their own machine in hopes of hitting their own jackpot.

Winning at Online Slots is not easy, but you can do it. There are ways to tip the odds in your favor, instead of the casino, and that means winning the big jackpot.

Winning at online slots takes a bit of luck and some skill.

Here are 7 tips to get the odds in your favor and win at online slots.

1. Whatever you do, be cool!

Even though slots are really simple, you can lose you cool as you lose your money. So put aside only the money you can afford to lose, and when it’s gone, you must stop.
Having lost, you will wish to get even, and your emotions will get the best of you. Don’t let that happen or you will never win at online slots.

2. Beware of playing “full coin”

When you see am “equal distribution” or “straight multiplier” slots, do not play the full coin option.
Read the highest pay line, and look for : 100 coins for 1 coin; 200 coins for 2 coins; 300 coins for 3 coins. Adding in extra coins will actually get you nothing more.

Its just simple mathematics; as you play two or three times as much and will two or three times as much.

3. However, Always Play Maximum Coins of the Progressive Slots

To win the progressive jackpot, you are obliged to play the maximum coins. Not doing so you will only prime the slot machine for someone else. So if you want to win at progressive online slots play full coin and you could win the life changing jackpots.

4. Slot Cycles Do Not Exist!

There is no such thing as a slot cycle and there is no way to predict when a machine will pay.
You may notice what appears to be winning and losing cycles, but it’s just the way the way you see it in hindsight you cant tell going forward. It’s a game of chance, not science.

Tossing a coin may reveal something that looks like a cycle, but the final result will be totally unpredictable. Each toss is unique and has no relation to the next toss.

As this applies to coin tossing, the same is true in slots.

5. Before you play, know the machine’s payouts.

There is no substitute here, if you want to win at online slots check the payouts. Read the game options, and understand what the bets mean. An increased bet may mean more chances of winning.

The more the chances of winning, the better the odds are in your favor.

6. Stay Away from the Small Bet Games

You will soon realize that the higher the bet, the more chances there are for you to win.
Online slots is no different than the real casinos, and you need to get the maximum chance you can to win at online slots.

7. The Casino Usually Wins
More than any other casino game, slot machines have the odds in favor of the casino.

There is a good reason for this, and that is in the size of the jackpots.

Those jackpot amounts have to come from somewhere, and it’s usually people feeding money to the machines.

So, keep your cool, decide what money you can lose, remember the other rules, and have a great time and maybe you will be lucky and win at online slots.

Who plays slots online, and why do we do it? A look into the world of the online slots player.

The popularity of Online Slots can be attributed to several main factors. For one, slots play is a welcome, simple diversion for many people in the complicated world of 2006. For another, the games appeal to the common human desire to get rich quick. Finally, I think players like to think they can beat the system or somehow outsmart the game. As a testament, try searching online for how to win at slots and you’ll find no end of articles, sites and e-books dedicated to strategies for beating the games.

Let’s be honest, beyond some very simple basics, there really isn’t a lot to talk about when it comes to slots strategy. It’s just that simplicity that appeals to the Online Slots demographic. We are women (ok, and a few men) who are busy in our real lives. We have jobs, kids, carpools, meetings, and all manner of commitments that take up our time. When we have some time to ourselves, we want to unplug from the world and enjoy some entertainment that doesn’t require engaging our brains overly much. Online Slots offer an alternative to TV. Let’s face it, we don’t want to be slave to another TV series: Desperate Housewives and American Idol are quite enough, thank you!. Slots are available 24 hrs a day, for as long or as short a period of time as we choose.

Who hasn’t spent a few moments stuck in traffic or while folding laundry, daydreaming about what we’d do with a windfall of $100K? I know I have! There must be some chemical released by those thoughts… some endorphin or natural pain reliever that gives a pleasant feeling–however temporary. Slots play works the same way. The progressive jackpot slots games especially fill this urge. These games offer a big jackpot to players who bet maximum coins and hit the big combo. Players at the slot at all of the participating casinos are contributing to the jackpot until it gets hit. Now, the chances of winning that jackpot are absolutely tiny, and realistic players know that they are paying for the experience of enjoying the possibility. Deep down, they actually expect to loose, but the money they pay to play is worth it for the excitement.

Do you expect to loose when you play slots? If not, then you may fall into the category of those who think they know how to beat the system. You’ve read all there is to read on the subject. You play with a tablet next to your keyboard to keep notes on spin numbers. You have a system and you work the system. Maybe you even win more than you loose. Maybe you do expect to loose, but you’re still beating the system… How? you take advantage of bonus offers, free spins and sign up cash. The thrill you get is from knowing that you’re getting to play slots for free and have the thrills noted above while others are paying for them. Good for you!

Here’s hoping that you’re aware of your motivation for playing the online slots and that you are realistic about your expectations. Here’s hoping that you are able to see the price you pay for the returns you get. And… here’s hoping that those returns are bringing you happiness in whatever form that takes.

Texas Holdem is the most widespread form of poker online today. There are millions of poker hands played per day. Anytime during day or night you are able to find a game to sit in on. About 75% of the players are losing their money to the other 25%. Many players that have played the game for a couple of months often hit a break-even state. They are standing with one foot among the 75% of losers and one foot with the winners.

Professional players say that you need about $1,000 in your bankroll to become a decent player. That is you are likely to lose $1,000 before turning your game into profits.

Newbie poker players called out for help and their prayers was answered. The poker assisting software was born.

The first versions of poker calculators was just that, they calculated the odds, later on they evolved into showing number of outs and how likely you were to hit a certain hand on the river. At this time the assisting softwares took a giant leap forward and became poker robots. They decided how you should play and told you to fold, check, call, bet or raise. The poker rooms didn’t allow these software to autoplay but in practice you could just sit there and click, click and click.

It was apparent which players used calculators and you could learn how to beat them. This was no good for the software industry. They developed new softwares even more complex and harder to beat but the calculator was still based on algorithms that made it play the perfect game (making it easy to spot and easy to make money from).

Today, most of the calculators have been reduced into giving you the complete statistics of the game, including odds and vital information on your opponents. This allows the game to be more volatile as each player interprets the information differently. This, of course, gave back the pleasure of playing Texas Holdem Poker.

40% of all players are using some kind of Texas Holdem Calculator and if you face these players you are actually likely to lose, because not only do these players get all the odds in an instant, they also become better players, knowing odds by heart and learning the strategies is easier because they don’t have to waste energy on keeping tracks of their opponents.

Last year a new poker calculator was introduced to the market, Holdem Indicator. This software set a new standard, leaving the competition lightyeas behind.

The glitz and glamour of Las Vegas attracts us all, like moths to a flame. The lifestyle in Las Vegas seems to be so alien to any life that exists outside that staying there too long makes everything else feel unreal. It’s one of the reasons why short breaks in Las Vegas are encouraged. There seems to be too much to do, no matter how long your holiday in Las Vegas is, but on short holidays you can plan out your days to make sure you get to fit in all the essentials. The key to planning a short holiday is not to over pack your schedule as it tends to tire you out and can end up ruining your holiday.

Part of the attraction of a short holiday in Las Vegas is that everything is so much bigger than in real life and it gives you a chance to step outside reality for a little bit. Each of the hotels competed for your custom in a way that makes you stand and stare. The displays that you can view are mind blowing, particularly considering that you don’t have to pay for them and considering the amount of money that was spent on them. The other amazing thing that you notice on a short Las Vegas holiday is the huge contrast between the area known as the Strip and the desert that surrounds Las Vegas.

The casinos and hotels are all clustered into an area that is easy to move around in so you can walk between the different attractions. Walking from place to place allows you to get a better feel for the general atmosphere and on a short holiday in Las Vegas you want to experience as much of it as possible. A large number of the different attractions are inside different hotels and casinos so walking down the road can help you explore the area more thoroughly and productively.

The individual hotels, like the Bellagio and Caesar’s Palace spend a large sum of money on entertainment and attractions to entice a greater number of people into their hotels and their casinos. The benefit of this is felt by everyone since the attractions are often put on display for free to attract potential punters. This means you can move from hotel to hotel along the strip and experience an amazing light and water fountain show at the Ballagio and move on to a volcanic eruption outside the Mirage. The nature of the city means that you can spend every waking minute of your short Las Vegas break doing something interesting, regardless of what time of day or night it is.

From Las Vegas you can explore the surrounding region to see any of the larger number of attractions that surround Las Vegas. There are a number of ways to explore the surrounding areas depending on which form of travel suits you the best. You can enjoy an eagle’s eye view from a helicopter of smaller charter plane which can both take you on site seeing trips from numerous airstrips and landing platforms in the immediate vicinity. If you prefer seeing attractions you can take a tour bus to the destination or destinations of your choice. There are set tours that you can take with other people or you can organise a tour tailored to your requirements.

There are a large number of tours that visit particular attractions such as the Hoover Dam. The mode of transport that you use to visit the attraction will determine what type of experience you have for example seeing the Hoover dam will give you a greater idea of it’s place in the scheme of things. Seeing the Hoover dam from up close will give you a greater appreciation for its size that may be diminished if you view it from the air. The amount of time and the mode of transport you choose will determine exactly how much you can see of the area surrounding Las Vegas and which tours you can take part in.

If you are going to be in Las Vegas for a fairly short period then you can choose a quick overview of the area which is best carried out in a charter plane or helicopter. This will allow you to get a far greater idea of what surrounds Las Vegas in the time you have than a bus tour would give you. A day trip is preferable if you have a few days in the area and there is not too much time pressure on you. Taking a day trip from Las Vegas allows you to relax and take in all the nuances of the area you’re travelling through and the attraction you travel to see.

There are mainstream tours available to all and then there are specialised tours that will not necessarily appeal to as many people. There are tours that transport you to a location quite a way from Las Vegas and you can then hiker around the area. The length of the hike is up to you, but you can even make it longer than just a Las Vegas oriented day tour. For those who are addicted to speed there is a tour that allows you to either tear around rally style in sports cars or in super cars. Indulging in that is to take a truly Las Vegas tour. You’re given a selection of cars to choose from and then you can either drive around with some friends or just enjoy the sensation of driving some of the world’s finest cars.

Online gambling has improved drastically in the last decade with many sites and companies offering these services. The improvement is the result of the two-pronged effect that this type of gambling brings about. This means that companies engaged in such activities benefit firstly because of demographically advantageous situations and secondly because they can easily operate in countries where gambling is illegal.

Companies situated in other countries provide the best gambling opportunities because of the differences in currency rates. A country with lower currency exchange rates will attract customers from other countries where the value of money is higher. This is especially true about Southeast Asian countries where online casinos are attracting customers from the US as well as Britain.

The best gambling opportunities exist in skill games rather than in games of chance. This is because games of chance are such that the “percentages” are with the gambling house rather than the player. Games such as roulette are extremely unpredictable and can lead to losses in the end. However, games such as backgammon and poker are skill games, which provide the player with a better opportunity to win.

Sports betting is a comparatively better option than roulette and similar games because the outcome can be predicted. Sports betting can be much more thrilling compared to games of chance because of the fervor that is usually found in any sport. However, if a person wants to gamble on any chance games then the best site would be that which the Online Gaming Association endorses. This ensures transparency in gambling activities on the part of the gambling house.

Casinos frequently appear to be powerless in providing their players with an appropriate level of privacy and safety to ensure payoffs. Although, developing countries may provide cheaper gambling options they may lack the quality required for efficiently gambling on the Internet.

Thus, the country, its laws, the type of gamble, and the payoff rates are all factors that determine if the site is best for online gambling.

There’s been a great deal of discussion about online gambling recently with legislators, operators and the global community of gamblers trying to fathom complex matters such as Internet “locality”. In the midst of these deliberations, many players have been wanting to assess the relative merits of gambling online or at land-based casinos.

Through all of this there has been a lack of focus on the experience of the person who actually plays money at a casino. How about the gamblers who are central to any issues concerning casinos? We pose the sensible opening question – which are better, online or land-based slot machines?

Land-based slots are the world’s most popular casino game. They pay more winnings to gamblers than all of the other casino games together. But how well does this cherished form of land-based gambling adapt to online play? The vast majority of slots enthusiasts believe it has made the transition splendidly. The online versions of slots have become the most-played form of online casino games, owing in part to the ease of finding slots on the Internet (they’re also easy enough to find and play at land-based casinos) and in part to the fact that the game play is so simple.

Slot machines at land-based casinos have been controlled by computers for many years, so it’s relatively easy to adapt the game to play online. Some players are puzzled when you tell them a land-based slot machine is no more than a computer in a fancy case, but this is exactly what it is. These slots are driven by a microprocessor with a built-in random number generator. They work just like the online versions because the operating software is hard-coded in the microprocessor.
This means there is not much of a difference between the way the game works and how the odds compute for online or land-based slot machines. But there are some differences.

The most obvious difference, the one that will forever separate the two forms, is that you can’t physically put your hands on an online slot. Similarly, land-based machines have much bigger and more spectacular light and sound displays, although the graphics on the online slots are sophisticated enough these days to emulate reality pretty well.

There are numerous less evident advantages of playing online slots. For a start, you choose the time, place and the most comfortable seat in the house. You can play with your own refrigerator, DVD music system and other personal comforts close to hand. This is one of the great appeals of online casinos – you can visit them and experience all of their excitement without stepping outside your own home! And you can interrupt play whenever you like without worrying that some other gambler is going to annex your place at the machine.

Possibly the most telling difference between playing slots at an online compared with a land-based casino is the nature of the comps you receive. At a land-based establishment, the keen slots player may receive a coupon or some similar small comp as a reward for slaving away at a machine for several hours. It’s quite different online because the competition among casinos is so intense.

With the Internet it doesn’t matter where in the world you live, every online casino would love to lure your custom. As a result you can get a comp simply for deciding to play at a given casino regardless of how much you’ve gambled there. The sign-up bonus is a common online attraction. It gives you a substantial value in real credits at the casino and you can exploit this bonus to swell your bankroll, spend more time playing the slots and experience more opportunities to be a winner.

Many slots players find it genuinely gratifying to receive a comp in advance rather than after having to earn it by achieving a certain level of play. If you add the comps to the other advantages of online slots, it should be easy to see which version best meets the needs of the players.

Maybe you are the type that likes to collect vintage cars, or even vintage clothing. Why not invest in antique slot machines for a classic look and feel? You can find a great selection of antique slot machines at Slot Machines USA or Alison novelties. There is a wide range in price, depending on the make and the age of the model. Antique slot machines can cost anywhere from $1,500 to $2,400. Look for models that are fully refurbished and operational. Some have as many as 400 moving parts and most antique slot machines are 100% mechanical.

A favorite model among the wide selection of antique slot machines is the 1948 Gold Nugget with a cherry wood exterior, a gold plated letters and bright symbols. The shiny handle pulls easily and takes you back to another time. You can find a good quality model for about $1,800.

Another popular model is the War Eagle, also reminiscent of the 1940s. Like most antique slot machines, it has a shiny, chrome surface, but the War Eagle is designed to look almost like a warplane with red embellishment and dial-like numbers. There is a bright eagle on the front as well as brightly painted symbols.

For a more feminine look, try the Rainbow model, with multi-colored areas going vertically down the front of the machine. This is brighter than many of the other chrome-dominated antique slot machines, and is priced reasonably at $1,500. The buttons are rainbow-colored as well as the numbers. This colorful machine is certainly a conversation piece.

One issue that may arise when you purchase antique slot machines is the difficulty in finding parts. Ask your salesperson if you can obtain spare parts, and where you can find them. It is especially important to try out antique slot machines to see if they are in top condition, since repair of vintage machines might be difficult or costly. Remember that antique slot machines are a great investment and will increase in value if they are maintained well.

Yay, what a life would that be – sitting behind the fancy slot machine, hitting buttons, sipping Bud Light and constantly cashing out big bucks, or coins. Sure, we know that casinos (even online casinos, yes) take their “edge” and earn hideous profits, but we don’t think about it when we step into a local casino or log on to our favourite online casino.

There’s always a constant battle between “us” (the players) and “them” (casino) and most of the time we’re pretty equal, until the slot machine suddenly turns into a money-leeching demon and starts eating our cash. So, after losing again, you ended up reading this article that has a title which gives you some hope.

Not that I want to sound rude, but reconsider because you won’t win your money back. Every bet you make equals giving your money away. Actually, there’s only one way to gain a profit visiting a casino – that’s when you sign up for a casino’s club card and go visit the place once in a while. You won’t play but always claim your “Club Member Bonus” free drink. After drinking it you should leave the place, but knowing you guys, that almost never happens.

For people who still believe that they can win with slot machines, I have listed some myths and rumors that aren’t true. Believing in them brings you debts and misery.

Some people believe that a poorly paying slot machine is about to hit big, maybe even a jackpot, so it would be smart to keep on playing or even raise the bets::

Well, actually there’s no difference if the machine has been paying poorly for a long time or not, because each spin is unique and totally random (IF, that is, you’re playing at least Casino Control Commission or a GamblingRalf approved casino and the machine uses well-known software). There’s different situations in land based casinos, because even if they claim that slot machines payout percentage is fixed and constant, it still happens sometimes. The payout percentage has been lowered to nonexistent and you can keep on playing and losing forever. There’s also no such thing as “feeding the slot machine” (this equals losing your money in order to win it back later) or “milking it”.

Talking on a cell phone when gambling drives high tech slot machines crazy and helps to win big…or not! Actually some cell phones damage digital slot machines (especially before GSM coverage, when NMT was a superhit), but I haven’t heard any stories of players being able to cheat the casino with this trick and withdraw the money.

I know a few players who have had sudden $100,000 on their bankroll and weren’t paid, because the computer chip made a mistake (probably caused by cell phone). Every bet and win has to be proved by a slot machine’s previous winnings history, which is saved and constantly checked.

::Temperature of the coins affect slot machines and payout rates. Hot coin means more money!::

Another twisted fairytale. If you’re already so credulous, don’t visit casinos at all – you will gamble your brains off like that and go home crying. Computer chips have a RNG chip (Random Number Generator) that isn’t affected by anything, even not by the coin you have stored and heated up between your buns.

We could continue this list, but I’d rather not do it because it all comes down to one thing – in the long run there’s no way you can beat the slot machine and steal its edge. If winning was easy, there would be no casinos. There’s no simple “How to Beat Slot Machine” tactic, only some simple rules that should be followed to keep your losings as low as possible.

All about the Megabucks slot machine games from IGT. The humming song of the one-arm bandit - the slot machine. How far gambling has come (and not!)

“Deposit, click, pull, spin, bells, lights, wait, patience, one, two, three…repeat… again…”

The humming song of the one-arm bandit – the slot machine. How far gambling has come (and not!) Some things have changed dramatically with on-line gambling and even virtual slot machines, now almost as comfortable, accessible and acceptable as watching television, flooding search engines and alive and well through pop-ups and other electronic marketing media – other gambling icons have stayed hauntingly the same, or at least so it appears, including the presence of slot machines on the traditional gambling scene.

But are slot machines the same enablers of the games of chance and fate as they have always been? Devices delivering on the need for entertainment, leisure, fun and pleasure, indulgence and the ever-popular promise of spending a little (or a lot) to win it BIG! Promises of easy money. The buzz, glitter, lights, spinning, celebratory, cheerful sounds of the timeless slot machine. Alluring, elusive, insistent and … still very popular. To the point then, modern-day slot machines are distinctly different – most, like the Megabucks and other slot machines, are now networked and digital, so appearances may be “deceiving” as complex programming and algorithms now throws the dice of change and smiles on lady luck so to speak in the background. The Megabucks Slot Machine as stated is no exception here. This one-armed bandit-like showpiece is not just suddenly ambidextrous; it is a multitasking, multiple-games-in-one gambling machine. The new technologies have changed the way people win and lose on slot machines and have led to the networking that produces huge jackpots. Technological advances are here to stay. They are part of the march from mechanical to electro-mechanical, then to circuit boards and high-speed microprocessors – setting the machine up so that people will play often enough because of frequent/regular payouts while still making lots of money for the casinos and gaming industry!

Before the computer era, slot machines featured spinning reels, usually three, seen through a window. A player would insert a coin, pull the machine’s handle to start the reels spinning and hope that when they stopped, the symbols painted on the reels would line up in a winning combination. If they did, the player received some or all of the coins that had been placed into the machine. The odds of winning were determined by the number of reels in the machine and the number of symbols on each reel. This is now al done by computer chip and regulated and regularly inspected for programming irregularities and/or tampering. The Megabucks slot machines, for example, are wired on closed networks like private Internets (riverboat-based versions of the game can use wireless network connections) so they can communicate with other slot machines offering the same game. In Nevada, for instance, Megabucks is played statewide on a network of about 700 linked slot machines in 133 locations. Every time a player in Nevada drops a dollar into a Megabucks slot machine, about six cents of that dollar is added to a special running jackpot figure posted simultaneously at the casinos where slot machine players can see it. In effect making MEGA-WINNINGS come to life.

IGT has clearly sought to up the ante by launching several versions of the Wheel of Fortune one-armed bandits. The new video slot featuring actual clips of TV show hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White guide players through the action of the game promise hours of fun for the adventurous and/or die-hard fan.

Texas Holdem Calculators are a common phenomena these days. If you are an active player, sitting in a full ring game, there are 4-6 players using calculators. This gives them the upper hand.

Josephine Daniels have played online poker for the last 3 years. She learned that the use of tracking softwares was a way to guarantee a steady income from her online playing. Last year a new poker calculator was introduced to the market, Holdem Indicator. This software set a new standard, leaving the competition lightyeas behind.
Are you planning for a Las Vegas vacation? You should be very well prepared before taking a flight in one of the busiest places in Nevada.

You might end up short on your budget or with no hotels to check in if you did not call for reservations. You should also have enough money to savor everything you want to experience in Las Vegas.

There are many places to visit and things to do in Las Vegas. The city itself and the surrounding areas are attractions already. You may walk on the strip and savor the wonders of its casinos and luxurious hotels.

Leisure and business activities are non stop in this busy city. At night, you may have the option of watching shows and have fun gambling on its famous casinos. When you want a vacation full of entertainment and fun, Las Vegas is the perfect destination.

Generally, the main attractions of the city are its hotels and casinos. The most popular hotels are the MGM Grand, The Ritz Carlton, Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower, The Mirage and the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel.

Other popular sight attractions in Las Vegas are the hotels and casinos’ free shows like the Bellagio’s water fountain ballet, masquerade show at the Rio, and the Mirage’s volcano white tiger exhibit. Aside from its hotels and casinos, the Las Vegas museums are also places worth visiting.

However, you should prepare well before making the trip to Las Vegas especially if it is your first time. Here are some Las Vegas vacation tips that will help you to experience the best Las Vegas vacation.

1.	Look and book for hotel reservations ahead preferably 2 to 3 weeks before taking the flight. It is also recommended that you purchase tickets early. You will find flights that require advance purchase of tickets, in this way you can avoid long piles of lines in the airport for ticket buys.

2.	If it is your first time in Las Vegas, make sure that you stay near the Las Vegas strip. The strip is the best place for you to enjoy. You will savor the beauty of Vegas attractions such as the white tigers at the mirage, fountains of the Bellagio, pirates show at the Treasure Island and the lions’ den of the Mirage.

3.	Most of the hotels and casinos are just a few steps away. You may not need to rent a car. Staying a hotel at the center of the city would be a perfect choice to stay in.

4.	Exclusive shows in the hotels and casinos may really cost expensive. You may save money by going to free shows which are also main attractions in Las Vegas. You may watch free circus acts at the Circus Circus. Visit the human statue Venetian, watch the Pirate Show at the Treasure Island, see the M&M store at New York Street and enjoy the fountain exhibition at the front of the Bellagio.

When visiting Las Vegas, remember these tips on what you can do in Las Vegas especially if you do not have enough budget to enjoy expensive entertainment. It is up to you on how to have a great time in Las Vegas. For sure, you will never forget your first Las Vegas experience.

Some locals call downtown Las Vegas “Vintage Vegas.” It’s where much of the action took place back before the late 1980s. It’s still a good place to visit. Many well-known casinos are located in downtown Las Vegas. It’s a great place to go if you want to gamble with lower minimums. Over 17 million people visit downtown Las Vegas annually.

Downtown Las Vegas Gambling

As mentioned, the minimum bets in downtown Las Vegas are lower. They also have high-limit gambling. For instance, finding Blackjack tables with $1-$2 minimum bet is commonplace. Try finding a bunch of $2 Blackjack tables at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.

Downtown Las Vegas Casinos

At the very end–almost disconnected from the rest of the casinos–are the Western and El Cortez. They are really down the street by themselves. The Western is a very low-end casino, and not something I recommend visiting–unless you want to sell drugs while you play Blackjack. The El Cortez is better and features a lot of gambling for your dollar. They even have 40-cent Keno. However, there are better casinos up the street.

By the Fremont Experience, there is a series of casinos that you might be familiar with. First, there’s Binion’s Horseshoe, which was famous for the World Series of Poker among other things. Right across the street is the legendary Golden Nugget. The Golden Nugget still maintains its class and has tables with higher limits.

Another iconic casino that’s located at the end of the street is the Plaza. Perhaps you have seen their poker tournaments on TV. The Plaza will give you great bang for you buck. You might have seen their Center Stage Restaurant in the movie Casino.

There are many other casinos in downtown Las Vegas such as the Golden Gate, Fremont, Four Queens, Fitzgeralds and more.

Fremont Street Experience

One of the main attractions in downtown Las Vegas is the Fremont Street Experience. Five blocks of Fremont St. are covered with a huge technical canopy–its one large big screen. Throughout the night, this canopy provides state-of-the art light and sound shows–all for free. There are over 12 million lights in the canopy.

The shows change periodically. They start at dusk each night and run every hour on the hour. Sometimes there are free concerts as well.

I’ve lived in Las Vegas for over 20 years, and I still go down to see the Fremont Street Experience whenever I’m in that area. When the show starts, the lights dim outside and thousands of people stop what they are doing to watch.

So you’re thinking about buying some Las Vegas real estate, but you’re still not quite sure of your decision? Well, here are a few advantages that would accrue to you if you did.

You’ll enjoy fantastic weather. No matter what type of weather you enjoy, Las Vegas probably has something for you! For those who enjoy the sunshine, the Las Vegas Valley, which includes Henderson, Green Valley, and Summerlin are the best spots. It’s sunny most of the year here, with annual rainfall not exceeding five inches.

You won’t need to pay much in taxes. That’s right. Nevada does not charge a state income tax or a state corporate income tax, which only means more money for you and your company. Additionally, property taxes on Las Vegas real estate are among the lowest in the country.

It’s an excellent place to do business. Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world. As a business owner, you should seriously think of either relocating or expanding to Las Vegas. Think of all the people who come to Las Vegas just to spend their money. It’s an excellent opportunity no matter how you look at it.

If you think Las Vegas might be the place for you, then you should consider contacting some agents.

Online gambling glossaries are in abundance on the Internet and contain terms related to online gambling. Such glossaries can prove helpful to people who are new in the business of online gambling. Online gambling differs from casino gambling in that it provides the gambler an opportunity to gamble in peaceful surroundings. Furthermore, a gambler can pause the game and refer to these online glossaries, which is difficult in a normal casino.

Online gambling glossaries can help people who want to learn the latest jargon and slang in this business. Many sites also provide core glossaries that not only offer definitions but also inform about new terms and their meanings. These are also called defining dictionaries because they are extensive compared to normal glossaries.

Terms used in online gambling may differ from those used in the real-time game as several terms are devised with reference to the Internet. Some such terms include eCOGRA (an agency that regulates/controls online gambling/casinos), iGlobal Media (a casino software provider), OPA or Online Players Association (who regulate online payoffs), and Play Tech (one of the best online casino companies).

Online gambling is a comparatively new phenomenon and is still not developed enough to ensure complete transparency and smooth working. Moreover, many inventions and innovations in online gambling mean that newer terms and definitions are constantly added to these glossaries.

The terms in a glossary are important since knowledge of definitions and abbreviations can help a gambler in winning a game. Therefore, experts who are not only familiar with gambling but also have a practical understanding of the Internet usually write these glossaries. However, glossaries are not the only source of words and terminology since online dictionaries also contain explanations of gambling terms.

Thus, online glossaries can be a good starting point for neophytes and a reference guide even for gambling stalwarts who have plenty of experience in online as well as land based gambling.
