I think they were used as promotional material before the Catherine game even came out since they all have the Catherine release date and the game’s official website. Even though, they are all still cool to use as your desktop wallpaper.

Being developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and will be published by Electronic Arts, Battlefield 3 release date is set on October 25, 2011 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 with the PC as its lead platform rather than the two consoles.

Prepare for all-out war as Battlefield 3 uses Frostbite 2, a new cutting-edge Frostbite game engine especially developed by DICE for the game. With Frostbite 2, the game delivers enhanced visual quality, a grand sense of scale, massive destruction, and dynamic. Battlefield 3 also uses ANT technology used in earlier EA Sports games for character animation to create a more realistic and more dynamic soldier out in the battlefield.

In Battlefield 3, players step into the role of the élite U.S. Marines as they experience heart-pounding missions that can be performed on either single-player or multiplayer modes. Missions range across diverse locations around the globe featuring maps set in Paris, Tehran, New York and a lot more. These locations can be seen on Battlefield 3 trailers and videos which features gameplay and overview of the game.

The game features maximalist combined arms which made the franchise popular among first person shooters. Old Battlefield elements are going to be reintroduced such as fighter jets and 64-player battles on PC. However, ground area will be limited for PS3 and Xbox 360 as to accommodate lower player counts but will keep the same fly space in all platforms.

Battlefield 3 multiplayer mode returns class-based game play with four classes: Assault, Support, Engineer and Recon.  New game modes were announced such as Conquest, Rush, and Team Deathmatch to offer new kinds of gameplay for Battlefield gamers. Introduction of Battlelog is also a new feature of the game where it acts as a free cross-platform social service where players can communicate online with text or voice, view game statistics, and ability to join a friend in their game.

With the game set in 2014, Staff Sergeant Blackburn leads a five-man team with a mission to safely search and return a missing US squad investigating a possible chemical weapons site. As a U.S. Marine, experience the tension and anticipation punctuated by complete chaos which makes the battlefield more alive and interactive than ever before.

Again, Battlefield 3 release date is on October 25, 2011 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms. That’s around 2 more months of waiting and anticipation. The game is based on DC Comics’ Batman, and is a sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum released last 2009. With the same open-world gameplay as of its predecessor, the scheduled worldwide Batman: Arkham City release date is on the week of October 18, 2011.

Batman: Arkham City is being developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The action-adventure stealth game will be available for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. The game takes place about one year after the events of its predecessor Batman: Arkham Asylum.

For the gameplay: as previously stated above, you can freely roam in an open-world type of gameplay which incorporates predator tactics and stealth. Players control the Dark Knight as he goes around Arkham City to complete primary missions as well as secondary missions featuring key characters with their own stories.

Gadgets and weapons previously obtained in the first game Batman: Arkham Asylum will be available at the start of Batman: Arkham City with most of them having new and improved capabilities.

There will be more puzzle elements in the game that can be solved by using the “Detective Mode” which is now changed to an “Augmented Reality Mode”.  There will also be optional Riddler challenges to collect hidden trophies within the game.

To add, Catwoman will be a playable character at specific points in the game with her own heist-focused storyline. Robin is also a playable character in challenge maps. With over 400 challenges in-game, Batman: Arkham City may take up to 25 hours of Batman experience of completing the game’s main storyline plus other side challenges.

With Prototype being Radical Entertainment’s best-selling open-world action game of 2009, Prototype 2 has a name to live up to being dubbed as the most spectacular open-world action game of 2012.

Players take on the role of Sgt. James Heller, an infected soldier left to die with the goal of murdering his maker, Alex Mercer. To meet this goal, Sgt. James Heller must hone his unparalleled shape shifting powers and cut through the infected wastelands of New York Zero, formerly the New York City everybody used to know.

Prototype 2 also offers cool game features such as ones that allow you to Customize Your Killer and Hunt, Kill, and Become anyone standing in your way.

To make the good news better, Square Enix is ending this year with a bang in Japan with a Final Fantasy XIII-2 release date on December 2011.For American fans, no need to wait that long since they are in for a new year treat with a January 2012 Final Fantasy XIII-2 release date.

Like the first Final Fantasy XIII game, XIII 2 will be available for both PS3 and Xbox 360. In the new game, Lightning is joined by her sister Serrah as well as a mysterious young man named Noel Kreiss as new main playable characters.

The game will introduce an evolved version of the original battle system used on the original game. New features that will also be introduced are “Cinematic Action”, “Feral Link”, “Live Trigger”, and “Anomaly System”.

The game revolves around a man named Vincent Brooks, a 32-year-old office worker who frequents a local bar with his friends living a carefree life. His life began to change when Katherine (with a K) his girlfriend for five years, started to pressure him of taking their relationship to the next level.

While at the bar, Vincent meets Catherine (with a C), a beautiful and mysterious and beautiful 22-year-old woman sits next to him and started to seduce him. They ended up spending the night together at Vincent’s house and exactly after that incident when Vincent started to have nightmares every night, where in those dreams, he and other men who appear as sheep must  try to survive as death in the dream means death also in reality.

For the gameplay: it is like a sim game during the Daytime scenario where Vincent can talk to people and do other stuff but changes to a puzzle game during the Nightmare scenario where Vincent must climb up a dangerous staircase filled with blocks while surviving a various set of traps and nightmarish boss creatures.

When I first saw the trailer for Catherine, what caught my attention was the game’s mysteriously interesting plot and anime-style graphics resembling that of Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series.

For those who can’t wait 10 more days for a date with Catherine, there is a downloadable demo available from the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. And for those with the patience of a sheep, 10 days is not that long of a wait if all goes as expected.
