Adventure Pinball: Forgotten Island is the first in a series of 3D pinball adventure games built using the Unreal Tournament engine. The player must journey through a series of linked pinball tables, each one more difficult to master than the last, to survive the perils of Forgotten Island. However, you cannot advance from one table to the next until you have completed a set of tasks that will open the entrance to your next adventure. Unlike other pinball games, the action in Forgotten Island does not take place on a tradition table, but on a living island landscape fraught with dangerous creatures and natural hazards. The new naval combat in provides a fully-fledged modern naval RTS within Act of War. With over a dozen new units designed specifically for naval warfare – from Tarawa class carriers, Typhoon submarines and SH-60 Seahawk anti-sub helicopters, to Harrier attack aircraft and Zubr class amphibious assault hovercraft – this feature alone promises to make this expansion pack one of the most interesting new RTS offerings in 2006.

To support the naval combat feature, Eugen Systems have developed brand new real-time physics technology to simulate waves and the heave of the ships, ballistics code for ASROCs, Tomahawks, Harpoons and Typhoons and other maritime weaponry, and normal mapping and deep parallax water surfaces for the waves.

Instead of introducing a fourth faction, Eugen Systems have introduced a different kind of feature which promises to mix things up considerably during different phases of the game – mercenary units. The concept is simple: these are units for hire. Only one player at a time can hire each mercenary unit, and to hire a mercenary team you need to pay a hefty insurance policy. If the mercenaries are injured or even killed, you won't get a full refund of your insurance deposit at the end of the contract.
The nine mercenary units range from close assault troops with Benelli shotguns, to Roland SAM systems, SU-25 Froogfoot CAS aircraft, and even F-117 stealth bombers that can be called into any part of the map.
For extra variation in the basic game each of the three factions also receives 2-3 new units and as many new upgrades; in some cases they will cover previous holes in the tech tree, in others just reinforce the strength of each side or introduce a new use for existing units and upgrades. Examples are Stinger infantry and Kiowa recon helicopters for the U.S. Army, SCUD launchers and Hind AT-6 Spiral missiles for the Consortium, and GUOS mine upgrades and experimental BLU-144 bombs for the Joint Strike Fighters of the Task Force Talon.

The storyline: you’re awakened inside a stasis chamber, confused and disoriented. Breaking out, you find yourself to be inside a gigantic alien spacecraft. Who the masters of this ship are is unknown, but disrepair and dust translate to your grasping mind that this ship is long since derelict and how you got there, you have no clue. As you wander through its vast corridors, you discover that many parts of the ship have been overtaken by an ecosystem of alien vegetation and animal life, while yet other sections of the spaceship have utterly collapsed and long since ruptured outwards into the cold confines of space. As you make you way throughout the gargantuan ship, you make a terrifying discovery: you realize that as you’re hunting for answers, there are somethings hunting YOU. As you struggle to survive, you will be faced with a melee of horror and creatures unlike any you’ve seen before, with danger around every corner in this frightening yet awesomely beautiful alien world.

It will take all of your mental and physical strength to overcome the unusual creatures and puzzles this derelict presents, while you uncover the truth about yourself, your past, and your future.

Abducted is a horror/science fiction game delivered in true cinematic fashion. Real-time shadows slowly creep along corridors, dust motes flutter through the light cast from flashlights; the hint of things other than yourself are glimpsed throughout the levels whilst full 360 degree sounds heightens your experience and make the hair on the back of your neck flare up. Noises come from far away or right next to your ear in the dark, jolting you into either fight or flight, life or death. At a moment’s notice, danger can come from the left or right, OR from above and below as your character roams through changing 3D environments where the laws of gravity suspend themselves in lieu of weirdly alien physics.
Entering what seems to be a globular arboretum, you will see different flora and fauna wrapped along the inside of the great sphere, vertigo threatening to overwhelm you as you drop into one of the vegetated environs. Later, crossing into one of the many decayed, collapsed areas of the alien vessel, you’ll experience zero gravity in isolated pockets and have to deal with possible pursuers/enemies as well. Fights in zero G are almost unavoidable as you try to maneuver yourself through the gravitational pockets to, one hopes, safety on the other side. Imagine traveling through one of the many “nest areas”, places inside the gigantic ship that have been overtaken by alien denizens that now call it home; a single misstep, an accidental item dropped or even a simple breath might awaken the horde and bring them down upon you, teeth and claws slashing and rending. You might even have to make your way through one of the flooded sections, thigh deep in years of muck and overgrowth, hiding who knows what behind every vine, every bush. Diving into its depths, you swim for your very life as aquatic lifeforms snake their way to you, a new meal for the offering.

The point-and-click adventure game «A Vampyre Story» tells the tale of the beautiful, gifted opera singer Mona De Lafitte, whose life is brought to an abrupt end by a vampire baron named Shrowdy Von Kiefer. Henceforth, she is doomed to a miserable existence as a creature of the night in Von Kiefer's gloomy castle in Draxsylvania. Confronted with her seemingly hopeless fate, she decides to run away and try to fulfill her dream of singing at the Paris Opera. Accompanied by her mischievous bat Froderick, Mona must face a number of challenges in her odyssey and learn not only to accept her vampire nature, but also to use the abilities she has acquired to her advantage.

In more than 50 hand-drawn locations, the player's task is to guide Mona through Draxsylvania and to Paris by using his powers of deduction. Having a bent for extremely dark humor also helps... A Fistful Of Gold is an RTS game with few innovations influenced by other genres. It's set in medieval times, but the reality is twisted here, with a slight Wild West movie feeling and things like strange monsters, incredible weapons and even flying machines.

The most important is open gameplay. Basically it means that you have a set goal, but it's up to you how to reach it. At any time there are various missions and tasks available and you can choose anyone you want. Of course, at the beginning at least, you are limited by your resources (people, weapons, etc.) and skills so taking up the hardest job wouldn't be wise.

Another twist is that there's no need to build anything during a battle. When you fight, you should be focused on combat only. You do most of your resource management separately, in towns, by successful investments, trading, maintaining good relationships with other people, hiring and training team members, etc.

Also, similar to RPG games, you can build your team and develop characters by yourself. Pick fresh people for each job if you want (it's cheaper in a short term), but for best results you better find a few good and trusty men and make them the core of your team. When properly trained and equipped, their skills develop and in return you will gain powerful and loyal soldiers for a long time.

9th Company: Roots of Terror

The game is based on actual events that took place during the Soviet military campaign in Afghanistan. 9th Company follows the story of a ragged band of young recruits undergoing brutal training in Uzbekistan’s Fergana Valley and culminates with a bloody stand against the Mujahideen warriors on a nameless mountain top in Afghanistan. It’s the Battle of Thermopylae all over again: one Russian fighter against 10 Afghanis!

9th Company recreates in detail the events that took place during the last large-scale Soviet military operation. Few know the history: the 9th Company of the 345th Guards Airborne Regiment came under heavy fire on “Hill 3234” on January 7th, 1988. They managed to stop several attacks by an estimated 400 Mujahideen and Pakistani mercenaries and held their position for two gory days. The company lost 6 men, and the remaining 28 of the total 39 were wounded. Two 9th Company soldiers were posthumously awarded the Golden Star medal and the title of Soviet Hero.

8TH WONDER OF THE WORLD takes place some years after the end of "Northland". The renowned heroes around the Viking Bjarni retired after their last adventure and enjoyed their daily lives.

But one day the powers of darkness and evil slowly began spreading all over the world. At the beginning, nobody noticed this or paid any attention, but people soon felt that suspicion, hate, war and harm were returning to humanity. More and more parts of the known world were attacked by the evil that nobody could grasp or fight against. When the end seemed close and the world stood on the brink of eternal chaos, the chiefs of all countries gathered in the Council of Nations. In long debates they tried to find a means to fight the evil. But nobody knew what could be done...
