Nokia Aeon combines two touch-sensitive panels mounted on a fuel-cell power pack. Each of the panels are capable of being used independently. The touch screen displays all buttons that are virtual, so in one situation one panel could operate as the display, the other as the keypad. Nokia also establishes a new wireless standard with wibree, basically an upgraded bluetooth which would allow the Aeon to be a thin-client, farming out processing and storage.The complete phone is virtual and the panels can be used for voice calls/ sending messages and enjoying the musical experiance from any panels. It can also merge itself into other local products using the inbuilt sensors with the complete design similar to synaptics onyx and BenQ-Siemens's Black box, replaces the complete traditional keypad.

Though this concept phone was announced a year back still there are no latest news about it regarding the launch plans etc. Nokia should use the same Material on the screen as by iPhone, otherwise you will spend half of your time in wiping its screen. Nokia's vision of wearable technology users could wear the lightweight panels as a badge, or connected to a wrist strap. The most prominent design feature of aeon is a touchscreen that stretches over the full surface area of the phone, similar to benq siemens's black box concept phone.

and handwritten dual input. It has Bluetooth connectivity and 2GB of internal storage. It is, of course, JAVA-enabled and supports

.txt type e-books. As for talk time, full talk time ranges from 100 to 180 minutes with a stand-by time of 120 to 280 hours. And

though the phone's wrapping says “4G,” don't get your hopes up. The specs only mention GPRS / WAP connectivity.

All in all, this is a cool phone to have if all you're planning to do with it is whip it out and show it off to some of your

friends while you're on the backseat of a really fast moving car and they are on the sidewalk wearing really, really dark

sunglasses. They will never tell the difference. If you're planning to use it as a phone, well... for 208.58 USD, you could do

better, a lot better (and I am thinking Nokia Xpress Music when I say that)!

Cell Phone Watch M810 Personal Review

The new M810 cell phone watch is the upgraded version of the M800 that you might have seen all over the internet. I bought a couple direct from my manufacturer to see what the “buzz” is all about and what everyone’s reactions are that see this new cell phone watch.

From my immediate family to about a good 4 close friends of mine were all quietly amazed with this new M810 watch phone, including myself. After fiddling with this little gadget I came to a simple conclusion. What you see on the internet as far specifications and pictures really doesn’t do any justice for this phone. More cell phone watch, such as 007+ wrist phone watch and cellphone watch with camera and bluetooth dual sim dual standby, can be seen on exportsupermart.

First of all the first thing you notice when you receive one of these cell phone watches is the stylish heavy duty box it comes in. I know it’s just a box! BUT a really cool one, it’s not like the rest in simple card board form. It has a magnetic flap to open it up and slides out kind of like a jewelry box. Again, it’s just a box but I give this bonus points simply for the fact that I don’t have to worry about damages that can occur during shipping transitions. Enough of that! So what’s inside?

1. The free Bluetooth headset, it’s not wireless but hey… its free, can’t beat that right!

2. Two batteries, an extra is given free.

3. The battery charger – it kind of looks like a mini docking station

4. Of course the USB cable to charge and transfer files, mp3’s video’s ring tones… etc.

5. Wall charger that uses the USB cable to connect.

6. Stylus pen that is slipped into the leather belt.

7. English user manual also available for download.

The watch has so much to offer. The menus give you an endless amount of features. You can change the ring tone and add new ring tones if you like. It is an mp3 and mp4 player in one. The concept is based on the new phones that are receiving a lot of media attention except all the features are put into a watch.

You have your own calendar to set dates. The dial pad is on the screen, you use the stylus pen to dial out. It has the internet feature which is the most recent updated version of java. It is also equipped with a 1.3 mega pixel camera. This phone is pretty much a touch screen PDA in a watch.

The OLED screen allows it to be displayed in really nice high color. It’s bright and really visible. It doesn’t use the plasma or LCD type screens. The OLED technology is the newest out of the bunch.

Our main concern was the voice clarity of the phone. We knew that its capabilities were endless and right up there with the iPhone and other PDA’s but clarity was something that everyone forgets to think about when purchasing phones like these. So how did it go?

My friend uses T-MOBILE so this is what we tested it out on. I used Verizon as the other dial out and dial in phone. We took them both completely apart on two different ends of the town. What did we find?? Voice clarity passed its test. We didn’t receive any drop calls and the conversation was smooth. The only thing is that the wind can factor in with the Bluetooth’s clarity, but that is the case with most Bluetooth headsets on a mildly windy day. I dialed out using the touch screen pad and calls were received and accepted on both ends with out trouble. We did this a good 4-5 times just to be sure and it passed the test with out any problems.

A quick note about the Bluetooth headset. If you have mp3’s loaded on the phone the Bluetooth allows you to listen to your music on the headset. It’s a pretty cool feature that comes equipped with the phone.

So what was the next test in line? TEXT MESSAGING – Ok so at this point we knew two things about the phone. 1.) The features are PDA like and compare to those of other high end phones. 2.) The voice clarity, Bluetooth headset and out going/receiving calls checked out. And so did the text messages.

The text messages that were sent out were received really fast. It could be the service area at the time when we used the T-MOBILE sim card but either way there wasn’t an issue in receiving the messages. The only minor adjustment that might need to be made would be text messaging out since it’s like a keyboard and you’re using the stylus pen. But not to worry, I noticed if you can type quickly on a keyboard you should have an easy adjustment to the keyboard on the phone, they’re about the same. My typing speed isn’t the best but I was able to text fairly quick.

Now if you’re wondering if this would work with any other service the answer would be yes. My sisters use ATT and the phone also checked out with that service as well. It is an unlocked phone so any GSM sim card carrier would be compatible.

QUICK NOTE: The only negative that this cell phone watch attains is the screen size. For myself it was a good size, it measures in about 1.4". For a couple others the size was slightly inadequate. But its features and touch screen ability gave the watch bonus points that helped its cause in possible under sized screen.

I didn’t really expect much out of the phone being that there wasn’t much information about it out on the internet. For the most part the M810 cell phone watch performs just as good as any other unlocked phone of name brand companies. At this point I would have to say all it is left up to is what style you prefer. If you’re into cool gadgets then this would definitely be right on the top of the list.

From the early rumblings on a hastily deleted Vodafone Ireland thread (of all places) to recent sightings in the flesh, the Nokia cect N97 getting a little brother is the biggest non-Apple tablet story currently doing the rounds in the tech blogosphere.

So it’s only right that one of the interweb’s biggest bloggers lays down some concrete details, as Mobile Review’s Eldar gives
the world the lowdown on the Nokia N97 Mini.

Unwired View has brushed up on their Russian and picked out the salient points from all that he told them…
What is it? It is indeed the Nokia N97 Mini, and will be named as such. The name is apparently stealing a march on another manufacturer’s intentions to release a slimmed down version of a popular handset as the ‘Mini’. Sneaky… What’s it got? It is indeed a smaller N97, with similar features and specs, albeit…well, smaller. The display is said to be reminiscent of the new Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, so we’re talking a 2.9″ screen at a 640 x 360 resolution.

The d-pad on the left side is gone as the images suggested, and the internal memory will be either 8GB or 16GB, depending on the
model.

Why? It will be a sleeker, sexier alternative to the slightly bulky original, and cheaper too at around €100 (￡85) less than the
N97.

When? Well, the big reveal is said to be Nokia World ‘09 in Stuttgart on the 2nd and 3rd of September. Release? Eldar doesn’t
say, but he does mention the degree of faith that Nokia has in the N97 Mini’s success.

Augmented Reality Apps To Wait For mini iPhone A861 Update

Augmented reality apps are all the rage at the moment, with software like Twitt around and Layar attracting, lots of attention through their ability to interact with the world around us, but mostly because they make us feel a bit like the Terminator and able to 'scan’ information out of people and places in our field of vision.

Using a combination of GPS and the internal compass of the new mini iPhone A861 to find the nearest Tube station, nearest friend or nearest person. Tweeting about eating an egg via a digital overlay is certain to be the future, but Apple is putting the brakes on a fair few apps that are otherwise ready.

According to the LA Times, Apple is telling developers of this new breed of reality aware software that they won’t see the light of day until September, when the new mini iphone update becomes available. The reason for this is to iron out a few kinks in the still fairly early technology, just to make sure they are ready for the deluge of augmented reality fart apps around the corner.

So we won’t be able to wander blindly into traffic and blame it on our iPhones just yet, but here’s a taster of what we can look forward to in a few short months.
