There are many ways to make money online. If you have been reading my blog for some time now, you know that I make money by building micro niche websites that target high paying keyword phrases which people actively search for in search engines. Money is earned by monetizing the content using programs such as Google AdSense. With that said, here is another spin on how you can make money online by building micro niche websites.

In this article, I am going to show you how you can easily build a micro niche lawn care website that can be used to target localized traffic in your home town. The difference between what I am going to show you today, compared to other articles I have written covering this topic is how you get paid.

Typically, in the past, when I cover the topic of building micro niche websites, the method of earning money is with using programs such as Google AdSense. The object to the game with building micro niche websites is to develop a site, write content, and rank for profitable keywords that yield a high monthly search count. In my experience with doing keyword research, finding keywords that closely match this perfect blend can be challenging.

So what would happen if you build a site based off researched keywords that have a decent volume of monthly searches, have a very low level of competition, but don’t pay very well? Well, I believe that the result would end with the site earning much less compared to other micro niche websites that target keywords that yield a higher per click. That’s obvious right? With that said, let’s think out of the box for a moment. It is easy to have narrow vision on making money online. In actuality there are many ways to make money online. Furthermore, there are many ways to make money online with a micro niche website. It isn’t always about Google AdSense, right?

Here is the idea I have and want to share with you. Recently, I hired a lawn care guy to start cutting my lawn. I found him because he left a flier in my mailbox and I decided to call him. Is that effective marketing? Maybe so… but in my opinion, that is a lot of hard work to travel across town inserting fliers into mailboxes all day. But, the lawn care guy really doesn’t know any other form of marketing. Also, it is obvious that he doesn’t know about search engines, especially Google. That is where you kick in! And no… you’re not going to pitch him on building a website for him. I mean you can, but that in itself leads to an entire different article.

The idea is to build a micro niche website that targets localized lawn care keywords within your home town. Unlike other micro niche websites that earn money using Google AdSense, the localized lawn care site that you build will earn money when lawn care businesses pay you to be listed on them. Your goal is to build a localized lawn care website and get the site to rank well for localized keywords typical of what people would search for in Google to find lawn care businesses in your local home town. Once that happens, then you have created something that lawn care businesses need: An affordable and effective place to advertise their business.

Once you have built and established ranking in search engines for the localized keyword phrases you want, then it is simply a matter of contacting the local lawn care businesses and presenting the amazing advertisement opportunity you have for them. You can easily present them with traffic reports that illustrate how much traffic your site receives. Most importantly, you can illustrate the level of “Quality Leads” your traffic can generate for them. From there, you would need to already have an established pricing structure. My suggestion would be to create your site as a simple one page design and offer 25 ad spots available and charge more money for the higher positions and decrease the price for the lower positions.

An Example Could Look Like This:

Lawn Care Business Listing #1 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $125/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #2 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $120/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #3 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $115/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #4 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $110/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #5 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $105/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #6 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $100/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #7 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $95/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #8 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $90/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #9 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $85/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #10 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $80/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #11 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $75/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #12 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $70/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #13 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $65/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #14 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $60/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #15 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $55/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #16 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $50/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #17 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $45/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #18 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $40/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #19 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $35/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #20 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $30/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #21 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $25/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #22 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $20/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #23 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $15/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #24 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $10/ month.

Lawn Care Business Listing #25 – A twenty word description about this business goes here. Also included is their phone number and website address if they have one. The cost = $5/ month.

If you do the math, and assuming I did the math correctly, this one simple webpage could make a maximum of $1,625 per month, based off the pricing structure above. All this, because you created a site that provides an excellent medium for lawn care businesses to effectively advertise their localized lawn care services.

Here is one thing that may concern you, and believe me, it concerns me too. I hate cold calling. I am NOT good at sales, nor am I good at CLOSING DEALS. But that is ok! If you are like me, then you may find it a huge challenge to fill these ad spots up. Recognizing this is half the battle.

The solution: Ask a friend or family member to do it for you and offer them a percentage of the sales or an incentive to do so. For example: Let’s say that you’re a stay at home mom, very passive, and shy. You say to yourself, “There is NO WAY, I am going to pick up the phone and cold call!” Instead of stressing about it, ask your husband or boyfriend to do it each evening when he gets home from work. Tell him, “Honey, if you close these sales for me, you can get the 60 LCD Flat-Screen you have always wanted!”

The key element to realize is that you may be very good at doing what you do, such as building amazing websites. But you might not be good at doing other things, such as calling a lawn care professional with the aim of selling him an advertisement. My advice is for you to do what you do best, and then to find other people who do the other things best that you need in order to make your idea work. If you don’t have any problems with selling, then that just means more money in your pocket.

In summary, the concept behind this idea is to take a skill that you already know very well: Building Micro Niche Websites, and using this skill to earn money in a different way other than Google AdSense. By doing this, you will discover a world of keywords that deliver amazing amounts of traffic without worrying whether the AdSense clicks pay good or not. Also, doing something like this gives you the freedom to control and KNOW exactly how much your site can potentially make month to month. One last thing to mention is the fact that this method can work for many different localized business niches: Car Sales, Computer Repair, Day Care, Home Improvement, Heating and Air, House Cleaning, Landscaping, Plumbing, and more.

Additional Tips On Ranking

Here are some additional tips that can totally help you with ranking and dominating your localized search result page for lawn care keywords. Observe the screen shot below:

The first section comes from Google Maps. Did you know that local businesses are able to submit their business into Google Maps for free? When they do, their business pulls up on the map listings above the organic listings. You can get your micro niche lawn care web site listed here too! All you need is a physical mailing address and a phone number. I understand that you might not want to use your own mailing address. The solution: Get a PO Box, or a UPS Store Mailbox. I understand that you might not want to use your own telephone number. Solution: Get a free telephone number from places such as GrandCentral (coming soon). In the mean time, you can search for GrandCentral Alternatives. The process of getting your business registered and listed in Google Maps takes about two weeks. Once again, it is free and eventually you will take a spot on the map.

The next section is the Sponsored Links section. This is controlled with the Google AdWords Program. You may want to consider throwing in $50 to $100 dollars into the Google AdWords Program and at a minimum, at least observe the cost to include your site in this section as well. You may be surprised to discover how cheap the current bids are.

The last section is the organic ranking. I have provided you with many previously published articles that provide amazing tips on how to gain superior organic ranking. However, let me summarize a few things of importance.

Domain Name Selection

Don’t believe the hype. Choosing a domain name does influence your search engine ranking. Ideally it is best to choose a domain name that matches your target keyword phrase exactly. Examples would include: YourTownLawnCare.com, Your-Town-Lawn-Care.com, LawnCareInYourTown.com, Lawn-Care-In-Your-Town.com. In reference to the use of hyphens, I always select in this order:

YourName.com

YourName.net

Your-Name.com

Your-Name.net

Typically, I never purchase .org, .info, .me, or .biz domain names because they really don’t hold a lot of value and in my experience I don’t see a lot of these domain names pull up well in the search results.

Content Writing

Writing excellent and unique content is very important. The trick to writing content geared towards ranking for keywords is balancing a natural writing style with lightly packing in keywords and coming in un-detected by Google’s AI. Google is very smart and they can sniff out un-natural writing very easily. Some of the things that Google looks for are examples such as this:

Example #1 – Keyword Stuffing / Un-natural Writing:

Lawn Care In Clarksville Tennessee

If you are looking for lawn care in Clarksville Tennessee, there are many lawn care providers who perform lawn care services in Clarksville Tennessee who do a wonderful job in the lawn care business within the city of Clarksville Tennessee. This website was created to give residents of Clarksville Tennessee who need lawn care service in Clarksville Tennessee a listing of available lawn care businesses who provide lawn care services within Clarksville Tennessee.

The above is an example of keyword stuffing. Google does not like this because it doesn’t reflect natural writing and it is obvious that the content is geared towards targeting the keywords rather than providing anything useful for end users. A better way to write content that is useful while also balancing keyword targeting would be something like this:

Example #2 – Balanced Keyword Targeting / Natural Writing:

Lawn Care In Clarksville Tennessee

Are you looking for lawn care in Clarksville Tennessee? This page has a complete listing of affordable and dependable lawn care businesses who serve residents in Clarksville Tennessee and surrounding areas. Finding a lawn care professional to provide you with professional service can sometimes be a challenge. We recognize that, and once again, that is why we created this site. Our goal is to help you find the best lawn care service for your home in Clarksville Tennessee and surrounding areas. If you should have any comments, questions or even suggestions, please feel free to contact us.

The second example serves the same purpose as the first example. The primary difference is the fact that the second example is well written, natural, and does an excellent job explaining about the purpose of the site and what people can expect to see while also balancing the strategy of keyword targeting.

Keyword Density

Keyword density is another element that Google pays a lot of attention to. In my experience, the sweet spot keyword density percentage should be around 1.5% to 2.5%. Meaning whatever your primary keyword phrase is that you are targeting, you should NOT take up more than 1.5% to 2.5% of your actual content. If it exceeds this percentage, then it can put your content and ability to successfully rank for your keyword phrase at risk. You are welcome to use my favorite place for inspecting content keyword density.

The other element with keyword density is in how you choose to use your keyword phrases in your content itself. Various levels of WEIGHT are placed on where and how your keyword phrases are found within your content. In my experience, the most important areas to have your primary keyword phrases in a standard HTML document include:

title Tag

meta description

meta title

H1 and H2 Tag

a title Tag

img alt Tag

Strong Tag

permalink / URL

Let’s put all these elements into a simple example HTML document. Please observe below:

Example of a Simple HTML Document

<html>
<head>
<title>Primary Keyword Phrase</title>
<meta name=”description” content=”Describe your site and include your Primary Keyword Phrase” />
<meta name=”keywords” content=”Primary Keyword Phrase, Related Keywords, Similar Keywords, Found In Your Content” />
</head>

<body>

<a title=”Primary Keyword Phrase” href=”http://www.PrimaryKeywordPrases.com/”><img alt=”Primary Keyword Phrase” src=”images/primary-keyword-phrase.jpg”></a>

<h1>Primary Keyword Phrase</h1>

<p>Paragraphs of text that should include your <strong>Primary Keyword Phrase</strong>. This content should be unique, very useful, and should provide excellent value and information to end users while also targeting your Primary Keyword Phrase. </p>

</body>

</html>

In the above example, you can see how I have used the primary keyword phrase is the areas of the HTML document where they count the most. Your web page title should match your primary keyword phrase, your meta description and meta keywords should have an your primary keyword phrase included, an image should be named your primary-keyword-phrase.jpg, your image mouse over text should be your primary keyword phrase, your actual primary keyword phrase should be hyperlinked and the alt (or also referred to as your mouse over text) should be your primary keyword phrase, somewhere in your HTML document another instance of your primary keyword phrase should be encased in strong tags, your domain name itself / the permalink should be your primary keyword phrase.

This is SEO! That is why I have said many times in the past that people tend to over-complicate SEO. Creating a search engine friendly web page is nothing more than using proper HTML code and carefully writing content in a way that is natural but also creatively packs in the keyword phrases you want to target. Of course, the last elements include submitting your site into Google, Yahoo, and other search engines and registering your site with services such as Google Webmaster Tools and Yahoo Site Explorer. Additionally, link building is something that you should strongly consider doing as well.

I hope that you take a lot from reading this article. I know that I covered a lot of ground so if you have any questions, please by all means, feel free to ask. I would enjoy your feedback and comments, and also I would like to see if there is anything you can add. Use the comment form below to share your feedback and thoughts, As always, I enjoy hearing from you.

Have you ever wondered how you rank against your compeition in search engines? Well now you can with a new and free service called RockinSEO.

I had a reader of my blog, Terry Novak, email me today letting me know about a really cool new SEO Tool that he created and launched recently. It is called, Rockin SEO.

Basically it is a very simple tool that allows you to see how well you rank for keywords against your competition. Here is a copy of the email:

There is a lot of personal preferences towards how many people configure their sitemap.xml file and their robots.txt file. Some people say its bad to allow Googlebot to index all sections of your blog because it can create duplicate content issues or cause your content to pull rank on a section other than the originating source, which is your article post page.

Other people say it’s ok to have everything get indexed because either, one… they just leave things up to Googlebot to decide on what to do, or two… they are able to micro-manage how things are getting indexed and closely control how their article content generates additional pages for indexing.

I have tried things both, and many various ways in between. So I’d like to know your thoughts, about this, if you have any. Rarely do I blog about SEO but SEO is something that totally interests me, at least from a discussion standpoint.

I can say this, Tag Pages are pretty cool if you know how to use them properly. But, I think Google is catching on to how people are using Tag Pages, especially for those use Tag Pages for heavy levels of monetization.

A lot of SEOs say that tag pages create duplicate content on your blog, just as Category Sections, Archives Sections, Author Page Sections, and even the home page do.

Most SEOs say to truncate your content on these various sections to prevent the full article content from being shown. This can be done using the MORE tag or by hard coding the_content_rss or the_excerpt into your index.php, archive.php, category.php, search.php and tag.php files.

My thing is this… on the sites that I use towards making money, I use tags for the purpose of building additional pages for indexing… but, as I said again, I think that this is risky and it is something that I have recently stopped doing.

Today I am resorting back to what I used to do almost two years ago, and that is disallowing Googlebot into any of my sections except the home page and the individual post page. Now, I can’t do that here on my personal blog, because it’s too late. I have many sections on my blog that rank extremely well in Google and these pages are in fact, quite useful to people. But, that wasn’t my choice… Well, it was… but if I had it to do over again, I would have much rather had my post page be the page that pulled the rank rather than my tag page pull the rank.

Anyway, I’d love to have a general discussion about Sitemaps and the Robots.txt file. Not sure if anyone reading my blog knows much about this stuff, but I would enjoy engaging into a very cool SEO conversation. I haven’t had a good SEO conversation with anyone in a long time… be a good change up from my typical make money online topic.

Fire off a comment… let’s talk.

I received an email from Evan Carmichael who informed me that a post I wrote on my blog earlier this year made his top 46 SEO posts for the entire year of 2008. One thing is for sure, I am pulling in $10,000 dollar months with AdSense, so with confidence I can tell you that I am a Google AdSense Master. But I really don’t think I am a SEO guru.

Part of the reason why I don’t give myself much SEO credit is because I believe that SEO is very over rated. My best SEO tip is to customize your blog so that it produces proper HTML, TITLES and META TAGS the way search engines like them. Secondly, you should write content in a very natural form, but with careful precision, you should include keyword phrases that you want to rank for.

The post that made Evan’s top 46 list was a blog post titled, The Day After John Chow Lost To Google. Ironically, I don’t feel like that post was really about SEO. The story told in this post expresses my opinion about how I feel John Chow took advantage of his readers by leading them to believe that he himself was an SEO expert and how he lead hundreds of people down a path that could have left them for dead with their Google rankings.

At any rate, I am glad to have made this list, and I am also very glad that I shared my views in that post. I am not surprised to see that my post drew attention in the public eye; however, I am surprised to see that the post made a top SEO list.

Anyway, a special thank you goes out to Evan for including my post on his top 46 SEO Posts of 2008. So what do you think, do you think that a lot of people tend to over-complicate SEO? I don’t think SEO is really all that complicated. I don’t work at Google, and I sure don’t know of any magic formula to score excellent rankings. I do know that if you write natural and also carefully include keywords a certain way that you’ll gain rank and do so fairly easily. Thus, that is why I make so much money with Google AdSense.

For over a year I have been holding onto this tip. This tip is so obvious that after I tell you, you’ll probably kick yourself for not realizing this yourself. Backlinks are important, there is no question about that. The level of importance can vary from site to site. For example, with micro niche blogs that target keyword phrases with little to no competition, backlinks aren’t all that important.

With blogs such as my own personal blog, backlinks are very important. My blog is about making money online, consequently, that is a very competitive niche. I need backlinks to continue to rank for competitive words in search engines. Luckily for me, a lot of people write about my blog which supply me with very powerful and organic backlinks.

How can you get backlinks if people don’t write about you or your blog? How can you get very powerful backlinks (PR4 thru PR6) instantly without having to pay someone for them or having to barter for them? The solution is simple: Wikipedia

Wikipedia can supply your blog with some amazing and very powerful backlinks. These are links that you can add yourself simply by editing a few Wikipedia pages. Anyone is authorized to edit a page in Wikipedia, in fact, you don’t even have to register for an account.

Let’s look at this page for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legos

This page is a PR6

Now, what if you have a niche blog about Legos? How can you add your link to this PR6 Wikipedia page? Simply scroll down to the bottom of the page to the “External LInks” section, click edit and then add your blog!

After you click the EDIT button you will be presented with this page:

(click the second screen shot to zoom in)

On the Editing page, simply add your blog into the list and then click save. After you do that, your link will instantly be added to the page, thus giving you a very nice search engine friendly backlink.

Now before you go off and start spamming Wikipedia, here is a word of advice: Don’t be an idiot. Meaning, don’t abuse this little tweak in the system. You have to work your links in very carefully. If you’re too aggressive, moderators will catch on to what you are doing and simply remove your link. Worst case scenario, they can actually BAN YOUR IP ADDRESS and prevent you from ever editing in Wikipedia again.

Don’t choose to edit very mainstream and popular pages. Choose pages where you can sneak in under the radar and slip in a link. Try not to link to home pages, try to link to relevant articles that you have written. Don’t add links very often because every time you do, your IP Address is logged into their system. They keep a track record of the activity performed on each IP Address. The best advice I can give to you is to just be very natural and act very subtle and silently.

I have been doing this successfully for over a year and I can’t even begin to tell you the number of backinks I have pointing back to many of my niche blogs from Wikipedia.

Lately, I have been keeping myself busy building micro niche web sites. It has actually been a lot of fun to do. These micro niche web sites that I am building are very simple, one page, web sites. They are very useful and provide some excellent information to people who find them.

For over a year, I was on this super big micro blog building kick. Mainly for the ease of use in publishing content on the Internet. However, I am starting to believe that building micro niche blogs aren’t quite necessary. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with building them; however, building micro niche web sites work very well too.

Part of the reason why I am building these micro niche web sites instead of micro niche blogs is for the fact that if one of these niche sites hits off very well, I can always go back to it and install WordPress, Drupal or any other open source CMS that floats my boat.

I have been using Google AdWords keyword tool coupled with Micro Niche Finder to help me find very nice keyword phrases to target. When I find really cool keyword phrases that I want to target, I buy the matching domain name, if available. From there, I have a nice little template HTML that I have designed and I also have a .PSD template saved in Adobe Photoshop for my main header graphic.

I do pretty much everything I do with a blog in terms of SEO. I register the site in Google Webmaster tools, I make sure that I write content that compliments the primary and secondary keywords I am targeting and overall I make sure that the content is truly helpful for people.

A few days ago, I partnered up with an online buddy of mine — he reads my blog often — and together we created a neat little system. I am in charge of doing the keyword research, buying the domain name, building the site, registering in Google Webmaster tools, setting up Google Analytics, and plugging the site with a few high quality backlinks. My partner is in charge of writing the content, and I must say that he is doing an excellent job with this.

You would be amazed at how cheaply you do do what I am doing. I ordered a new HostGator.com account using their Baby Plan. The cost is only $9.95/month; however I got my first month discounted down to $0.01 because I used the coupon code: hgc25. I already have a copy of Micro Niche Finder; however, you can purchase your own copy for $99 dollars. It’s well worth the money. You visit this page and enter your name and email address to watch a free online video demonstration. A better solution, but a little more expensive, is a program called Keyword Elite.

Amazingly, we have a very simple system that seems to be working very well. I research the primary keyword, and then I reseach a handful of secondary keywords. From there I email my partner the list and he will then write the content based strongly off the primary targetable keyword while also providing a nice balance with using the secondary keywords provided.

So far we have built about five sites, nothing has been indexed just yet in Google as that can take around 7 to 14 days or longer. Once these first round of micro niche sites get indexed, I am real curious to see how well they do in the SERPS. In many ways, this is really an excellent test and I look forward to discovering the results in the up coming weeks.

Prior to finding my writing partner, I had built one site and after about a week it ended up getting indexed and then a few days later it landed the top ten listing in the search results. I was real pleased with this and that one site is what triggered me to do more. After two weeks of having this one site indexed and ranked on the top results, the domain name has already been paid for.

While that might not seem like a lot of money, when you deal with high volume though, this can add up real quick. That is my goal here with the partnership I have with my writer. We have a very simple php script that rotates our AdSense code on the page. When people visit the site, our AdSense code is randomly displayed. Sometimes his code will be visible, while other times mine will be visible. The end result is that we basically split the profits.

The great news is that we both put in equal amount of time per site. It takes me about an hour to do the keyword research, order the domain name, set up the web site, design the graphic, register it in Google Webmasters, set up Google Analytics, plug the site with a few backlinks and send my writer the work order. With all that, it also takes my writing partner about the same time to take the primary keyword and secondary keywords and proceed to write high quality content for the site. Each site has around 1000 to 2000 words. Once again, I am eager to see what the results will be and I hope that this little project will prove to be worth our time invested. Stay tuned…

Last week David and I introduced a new product to you called The Niche Doctor Park Page. Since then we are very happy to announce that have the Park Page available as a premium WordPress plugin. I am going to talk to you about this but before I do that, I want to explain more to you about the Park Page and its purpose. Regardless if you purchase the Stand Alone Version or the WordPress Plugin Version, the concept and the purpose remains the same. The reason for developing The Niche Doctor Park Page WordPress Plugin is to provide a much added convenience to the WordPress community.

With that said, lets dig into some of the features of The Park Page and also I’ll explain more about the purpose of this product. After I read my post from last week, I’ll admit that there were a few elements that remained a mystery. I hope to bring clarity to that in this post. The first item that I want to discuss is indexing. A WordPress blog has many pathways that search engines travel down towards finding content. In the past, I have compared web crawlers, such as the Googlebot, to electricity. As you know, electricity takes the path of least resistance. Consequently, so do web crawlers.

The Park Page Builds Powerful Roadways For Indexing

Web crawlers find many cracks and doorways into a WordPress blog. Commonly, you have the home page, the category sections, the tags, the posts and the sitemap.xml file that act as an entrance for web crawlers. But what you might not know is that there is a very wide path that search engines take towards indexing your content on your blog. This is a path does have quite a bit of resistance at first. This path is through the WordPress search page.

YourBlog.com/index.php?s=Keyword

Most all WordPress blogs have a search bar. When a user does a search on a WordPress blog, the URL will look something like the above example. Consequently, search engines also pick up on these URLs and index them. They index these search query URLs so well, that at times, you may find more of these pages indexed compared to other sections and posts on your blog.

Some people are smart and create links in their posts that point to various search pages in their blog. David and I have been doing this for quite some time. With that said, the search pages are one of the last sections to get found by web crawlers. Once the web crawler indexes many of the search pages on a WordPress blog, that blog then becomes more of a magnet for deep crawling and faster indexing.

The Niche Doctor Park Page WordPress Plugin kicks in by helping you get these special sections indexed FIRST rather than last. In essence, The Niche Doctor Park Page WordPress Plugin allows you the ability to frame up the pathways for web crawlers prior to paving them with content. The reality of the situation is that you are building the skeleton of your blog before you even build the blog. (Now that’s intense!)

The Park Page Pre-Heats The WordPress Oven

Let me explain what I mean by pre-heating the WordPress Oven. You know that I build niche blogs. When I build a niche blog, I need articles. Either I write them myself, or I pay someone else to do it. With that said, what happens during the week or two while you are getting all the content written?

Nothing happens. You have a domain name that is ready to go, or you have it already set up and have an empty blog running. In either case, this is non-productive. The Park Page allows you to pre-heat your WordPress Oven by allowing you the ability to have CORE sections of your blog indexed before they even exist. While you are off writing the content offline or having someone else do it, The Park Page is doing its job towards getting the search permalinks structures indexed in the search engines.

A week or two after you have all your content written, you simply upload all your posts to your blog, publish a few of them immediately, schedule the rest and then deactivate the Park Page WordPress Plugin. The end result is you have the CORE sections of your WordPress blog already indexed and your newly added content is much ahead of the game towards getting indexed and getting a better rank in the search engines.

I really hope that you understand this tactic. If you don’t, feel free to ask David or myself for further explanation in the comments. We’ll both be happy to help you see the light on this.

You may be curious, so I will tell you that this is the exact method in how I build my niche blogs. I personally use The Niche Doctor Park Page WordPress Plugin. As far as I am concerned, this product has been built for me exclusively. If you want to use it, buy it. If you don’t want to use it, that is fine. But again, quite honestly, if you want to know how I build niche blogs, it all starts with me pre-heating that WordPress oven while I am having someone write the content for me. This is the new way to build micro niche blogs.

If I were Google I would constantly be looking for ways to improve how I display my search results. I’d want to make sure that I do the best job and provide the most relevant information that people are looking for. Over the years, there have become many tweaks, hacks, tricks and tactics for publishers to attempt to thrust their content above and beyond their other organically ranked competitors.

Google isn’t a perfect system; it is however, a great one for sure, but it is far from being flawless. It can indeed be gamed and done so quite easily. In fact, I am sure you know that people pay big bucks to hire people or businesses to help them with that. And sure enough, it works. It may cost you an arm and a leg, but you can indeed pay a professional to help you with ranking very well in Google.

Search engine optimization service is a huge money maker. In many cases I consider the SEO niche to be at times equally as profitable as the MMO niche, if not more. Both niches are heavily saturated with competition and are extremely cut throat, competitive and political. It’s a dog eat dog world in the realm of MMO and SEO and being wrapped up too deep into it, you can easily become a dog too without even realizing it.

With that being said, I have to consider that Google is all to aware of how their system is being gamed. I have to consider that they are taking action to thwart these efforts. While SEO is truly a legitimate business, it commonly is an abused business as well. SEO should be a professional act of consultation and service done for a customer’s web site that will make it more friendly for users as well as search engines.

Part of that includes making sure the web site makes use of proper HTML code, proper CSS, proper navigation menus, proper display order of the content found on the source page and much more. What SEO shouldn’t include are advice, tips and tricks on how to tweak the Google index. Examples of that would be supporting and endorsing business and services such as Text-Link-Ads or PayPerPost. Businesses that render these type of services are clearly ignoring the policies that Google as well as many other search engines have set forth.

The biggest problem I see with companies such as the above mentioned, is the fact that many of the customers are unaware of the policies set forth by the major search engines including Google. They are simply business owners who are seeking out ways to legitimately and fairly increase their business Internet exposure. What they don’t know are all the politics and debated policies regarding the act of providing services designed to game Google PageRank.

Needless to say, when many of the companies or customers discover how participating in programs that game Google and attempts to exploit PageRank, they bail out and immediately have concerns as to whether their professional business web site will end up getting banned or penalized.

I am actually surprised to see that there haven’t been any lawsuits placed against companies like that. Perhaps there may be but they haven’t gone public. Who knows, but I can tell you this, if I owned a somewhat large business and placed a focus on seeking out ways to increase my business brand on the Internet and happened to have been lured into running a campaign on Review Me dot Com or other places, and to soon discover the high risks involved after the fact, then I for sure would be aiming towards a law suit filed against that company.

While I am sure that there is actually information in the fine print of the TOS that protect these companies, can they really hold up against a very high paid team of lawyers? I think not? My prediction is that it’s just a matter of time before The Times or some other high caliper publication picks up on a story that involves Text-Link-Ads going to court against a larger company that got banned from Google.

So what about Google Bookmarks? Do you think that Google Bookmarks influences Google SEO? Consider the position that Google is in. They are the number one search engine on the Internet. They produce the most accurate results. Ranking well in their search engine opens up huge opportunities to many people including medium to large scale businesses. And because of those facts there will always be the business as well as the desire for SERP hacking.

What can Google do about this? Well, they can revise their existing system of PageRank to factor in what other people are naturally bookmarking in their iGoogle accounts and Google Bookmarks. Why not? This would make perfect sense to me and it would be something that I would do if I were Google.

Using Google Bookmarks to place a level of weight towards how pages rank in Google’s main index makes perfect sense to me. Users of the iGoogle service typically take a lot of pride in how they bookmark, file and archive the information they find on the Internet. I have to assume that how I use my iGoogle and Google Bookmarks accounts would be similar to how others use theirs.

I am not really anything more than an average Internet users who makes excellent use of the free and wonderful services that Google provides me. I use Google Bookmarks to make a record of the sites or pages that interests me. Secondly I use the tools made available to me to build a folder and filing system that allows me to organize the things that I add into my Google Bookmarks.

In the Google Bookmarking system I am able to assign the pages and sites that I archive a Title, a description called Notes and relevant keywords called Tags. Commonly these are all attributes that I manually enter into the system myself using my own words that I feel are valuable to me. Consequently, there are thousands of other Internet users just like me who do the same thing. It would be foolish for Google to ignore this wonderful and natural organic pool of data.

If Google were to decide to use this information in Google Bookmarks, which I believe is made available to them – read their privacy policy, it would greatly improve on the quality of their main index because it would allow them to factor in what iGoogle users value privately.

Could this newer and revised algorithm be gamed just like the current one? Sure it could! But I believe that it would be less likely to be gamed for the fact that users would be forced to spam their private and personal bookmarking system in order to do so.

Here are some angles that I think would work in Google’s favor by doing all the above. For one, as already mentioned, people will not want to bookmark things into their private Google Bookmarks system that they don’t value. Archiving content that isn’t truly important to that end user will only dilute the effectiveness of their Bookmarking system.

People depend on their bookmarks to find information they have archived that it important to them. Doing things that dilute the effectiveness of their system is non-productive and lessens the quality of their Internet experience.

The second aspect which is a very deep one, so please hold on to the bar, I believe that Google records your activities and behaviors on the Internet and shapes and molds a digital fingerprint on the Internet that is assigned to your online identity. In other words, Google can interpret your natural personality and discover your personal interests in life in general based on your activity on the Internet.

This includes your Internet surfing habits, the various types of web pages you visit, the various subject matters and topics you tend to research and follow, etc. All in all, I believe that Google can come to a conclusion and successfully assign certain labels to your digital identity or as I call it, your digital fingerprint. The more time you allow Google to log and archive your activity, the more accurately it can assign labels to your digital fingerprint.

The purpose of Google assigning labels to your digital fingerprint or online identity is to constantly cross reference your newer submitted information into your Google Bookmarks against older items you have archived towards looking for trends of relevancy. I believe that Google could create a safety net which protects the integrity of their index by placing a filter on your digital fingerprint that checks to see if newer archived content is relevant to previously archived content.

Another consideration against gaming this newer system is the fact that the more you use your Google Bookmarks and the more you allow Google to monitor and record your Internet surfing behaviors the more influence your digital fingerprint will have when Google takes into account the information you archive. This in itself thwarts people from creating new accounts in Google for the purpose of mass Google Bookmarking content for the purpose of trying to game their algorithm.

Are you still holding onto that bar? Good, hold on tighter as this ride is going to get much more intense and in depth.

Google Bookmarks are held as a private and personal archive only visible to the logged in iGoogle user. The information archived into the Google Bookmarking system is not made available to the general public unless the archived information is transferred into Google Notebook and made accessible by the user. With that being said, I mentioned that most users would not want to dilute the effectiveness of their bookmarking system by creating archives of information that doesn’t interest them.

I believe that Google will eventually thwart additional efforts against Internet users who attempt to mastermind their system by creating fictitious identities, or rather false digital fingerprints, which would then be used for the purpose of exploiting Google’s revised algorithm.

In order for Google to create an even tighter meshed safety net, I believe that Google has an invested interest in working with Yahoo and their Del.icio.us Bookmarking system. The chief difference between Google Bookmarks and Del.icio.us Bookmarks is the fact that Google Bookmarks are private and Del.icio.us Bookmarks are public.

While the majority of common Internet users will be discouraged in archiving information that they don’t want in their own personal bookmarking system, there will remain a smaller group of people who will attempt to create fictitious identities or false digital fingerprints for the sole purpose of gaming Google’s algorithm. To prevent these adverse behaviors from being effective, I believe that Google will eventually come to an agreement with Yahoo so that they can pull data from Del.icio.us and use that information towards having yet another source of information for cross referencing.

The reason being is simple. While mastermind SERP hackers might not be bothered by diluting their private bookmarking system, they certainly do not want to dilute their public identity, or rather their public digital fingerprint. One thing is for sure with human behavior on the Internet and that is the fact that users are very cut throat and judgemental. Internet users tend to feel more confident knowing that there is a computer screen that protects them from other users in the digital world.

With that being said, Internet users typically aren’t reluctant to call out their opinions as they see it. With Google tapping into Del.icio.us, they have a source of information that has already gone through the scrutiny of mass public opinion. In other words, while there will be smaller groups who have the intelligence and abilities to create false digital fingerprints on the Internet to be used towards gaming the Google Bookmarking system, their efforts will never pass through the scrutiny of public bookmarking within systems such as Del.icio.us.

Furthermore, I believe that Google will keep a tally on the number of times certain pages or sites are archived across the board within their own Google Bookmarking system in addition to the how well these same pages and sites rank according to mass opinion within public Bookmarking systems such as Del.icio.us. All in all, I believe that Google not only has the resources and the technological advances to develop a system of this nature, I believe that in many ways it is already happening.

So, you want to know how I think Google is dealing with Black Hat SEO practices? Before I get into the bulk of this article, I want to let you know up front that the things I say in this article are not proven. They are only twisted works of my most inner brain coupled with a little case of paranoia. In the past, I have published two articles that talk about a theory I have which I call Google Digital Fingerprint. You can check out my article titled, A Prediction of What The Future Will Hold For Google an SEO and I touch on this sick and crazy theory in another article titled, Using Stumbleupon To Help Shape and Mold Your Digital Fingerprint. Basically to sum things up in a nutshell, I believe that the search results in Google are influenced by the content that people bookmark in Google Bookmarks. Secondly, I totally have proof that the search results are different from person to person while logged into iGoogle. I didn’t know this second part up until a few nights ago.

Why Do I Believe That Google Bookmarks Have An Influence on Search Results?

The reason I believe that Google Bookmarks hold weight on the content that ranks in the Google index is because Google Bookmarks are private to the individual user. With that said, I believe that Google considers a certain level of VALUE in the activity of Google Bookmark users. With Google Bookmarks being a private stash of tagged and organized links created by an end users, these links, listings, and content are valuable to the end user, otherwise the end user wouldn’t waste his time bookmarking it. In other words, if the content that is being bookmarked by the end users wasn’t of personal value to that end user, then there would be no benefit to bookmark the content.

How Is This Different From StumbleUpon?

Looking at StumbleUpon is a great comparison. People vote and submit content into the StumbleUpon network simply because a friend asks them to. The VALUE factor is compromised due to the influence and public behaviors of people. Everyone does their friends favors and submits content or votes for content in the StumbleUpon network simply to be nice. However, when it comes to the end users system for holding a PRIVATE STASH of valuable references, links and resources, naturally the end user isn’t going to want to muddy up the waters on their organized and beautiful PRIVATE bookmarking system.

That is where Google kicks in and that is where my theory kicks in as well. If I were Google, I would want to constantly think of ways towards improving my results in my search engine. I understand that everyone tries to game Google. Many people are very successful with this. Google lists top results of content that should not be listed as top results. I see this more and more, especially as the Internet continues to grow.

How does Google take action on people who Game the SERPs? Simple, they turn to the data being collected in Google Bookmarks and then they look for trends. I think too that this includes Google looking to see how many people have bookmarked certain pages.

But what about simply gaming Google Bookmarks?

So yeah.. if all this is true, then what keeps people from just spamming their own Google Bookmarks? Well, I have an answer to that as well. This is where iGoogle kicks in. When you are logged into iGoogle and assuming you are allowing Google to track your web history, Google then has a digital paper trail of all the places you go on the Internet. Overtime, this activity starts to birth what I call, “Your Digital Fingerprint.”

What I mean by this is simple. Google monitors your behaviors on the Internet. Google can process data and LABEL your interests. Google knows if you visit CNN.com every morning. Google knows if you favor the color RED over GREEN. Google knows if you surf on eBay and also what items interest you on eBay. All in all, the longer you are logged into their iGoogle system, the more accurate and detailed of a natural digital fingerprint they have on you.

So what does all that mean? Simple… the digital fingerprint thwarts the activity of people simply spamming their own Google Bookmarks with content that goes against the grain of content that matches their digital fingerprint. Meaning, if you like the color GREEN and love DOGS and voted for Al Gore, yet you later submitted content that said you love RED and LOVE CATS and voted republican, it goes against your own personal Internet surfing behaviors and trends.

To thwart having the Google Bookmarking system gamed, I believe that more value is assigned to Google Bookmark users who have a longer history of topic consistency. People who continue to grow their digital fingerprint have more of an influence on the overall big picture of things. In other words, this too thwarts the efforts of end users simply creating new Google Accounts for the purpose of using Google Bookmarks to shape and mold their own new digital fingerprints for a particular niche topic that they want to game in the Google search results. Don’t get me wrong, this can be done, but a lot of time and energy would have to be invested towards successfully creating, shaping and molding a digital identity that will be used towards having just a very minimal impact on SERPs.

All in all, if this theory proves true, I see it almost as a perfect system for ranking content in Google. This system really puts a damper on people who try to game the Google search results. Not many people would be willing to take part in a super mind job against a computer just to hit a few good rankings in the SERPs. That is unless you were me.

I have been bookmarking a lot of things lately and while I can’t really produce any material that proves this, I do believe that it has an influence on things. With that said I am considering creating multiple Google Accounts that I am indeed would like to use towards growing and painting an online picture or rather a “digital fingerprint” exactly how I want it. That way when I need to get a tennis lessons web pages indexed and ranked in Google, I can simply do all the normal SEO tweaks and tricks that I do and also as a bonus, use the digital tennis fingerprint that I created. Google is a very powerful system that I think thousands of people under estimate and also don’t understand completely.

I think any company that has a NASDAQ stock price so expensive where I can’t even afford to purchase ONE SHARE has some pretty freaky things going on in the inside. Needless to say, Google, Inc. has a very powerful engine that I believe has been taking on the form of a very super power artificial intelligence that learns from the activities of end users at a very accelerated pace.
