Another Song on TV….!

Hello my lovely little blog readers! So, some of you know already that i have a song being used for a Mars TV Commercial, it airs for the first time during the half time ad break of the England v Denmark game this wednesday 9th February. The song is called Make It Better and was originally written by my good friend and spiritual brother Mr Levi Weaver. I reworked it slightly and of course sang on it! The song will be released next week as a single on iTunes etc. Will post the links in all the appropriate places as soon as possible. The Ad is only airing in the UK and Ireland so i’m afraid everybody else will have to wait ‘til i can get a copy of the ad and put it up on youtube. Thanks muchly for all your continued love and support. I’ll be announcing some UK & European Tour Dates soon so keep checking back for those. I should also be playing a few festivals this summer, i hope some of you can make it out to see me.

I am happy to announce that my first ‘official’ EP is available for download from today! Its on iTunes, Amazon and Play. The links are posted below.

The title track - Sunlight is the song featured on the Arla TV Commercial. We have put 3 other tracks up as part of the 4 track EP. Butterfly, If You Change Your Mind & Sink Like A Stone are the other 3.

I hope you all have the chance (and the pennies!) to go and buy it, its been a long time coming and i’m really proud of it :)

I will be touring extensively all over Europe in 2011 so i hope you can make it along to a show to say hello!

...Howdy folks! I hope you’re all well and have had a great summer.. Just a bit of news for you.

For those of you who don’t already know, one of my songs is currently being used in a TV commercial.

It runs all over Europe except for UK and France for the next 7 months. So, for all you lovely Brits and all my beautiful French amis and of course my wonderful American and Antipodean friends too! I’ve uploaded it on youtube, the link is below. Check it out!

Roy Orbison Birthday Tribute….

Hello all you beautiful blog readers! Sorry i’ve been neglecting the blog a bit recently but so much has been happening i just haven’t had time… Promise i won’t leave it so long next time :-)

So, last week i was asked to do a cover of a Roy Orbison song for possible inclusion on a forthcoming tribute album, i did my version of ‘You Got It’ not really thinking it would ever go any further than the studio walls… But! Roys wonderful wife Barbara and his son Roy Jr heard the song and loved it! So they asked me to play the tribute event this thursday night in London and also to be included on the tribute CD to be released on I-tunes! It is such an honour for me as i grew up listening to Big O’s songs and my mom was a huge fan of his too. Apologies and Album News….

Hello there all you lovely blog readers! First of all i want to apologise for neglecting the blog for over a month, the plan is to do at least one a month but i slipped! But there has been lots going on… Been playing lots of shows, thanks to all you who have turned out to see me recently, loads more shows to come. So, back in late January, early February, Myself, Levi Weaver and Jimmy Brown embarked on a little tour of England, much fun was had along the way and we played some cool venues, met some cool new people and generally enjoyed ourselves! Along the way we were lucky enough to be invited to Abbey Road to do a late night recording session. A little video of us all playing my song - Dynamite - is up on youtube now, you can see it here. Since then a few things have been occuring…. after much discussion, legal wranglings and all that malarky, i am pleased to announce that i will be in the studio, along with my band, to start work on the long awaited debut album from 4th April, Hooray! It should be done in 3 weeks or so, thenwith mixing mastering etc etc, it will hopefully be released late this year or at the very latest, early 2010. I hope you can all wait that long! There are lots of new songs to look out for and some old ones too! Anyway, i promise to keep you updated more from now on ( i now i’ve said that before but i mean it this time!)

Hello people! Ok, so we’re doing a mini tour of the UK this next coming weekend starting the 29th January in Coventry.
These are some of the last shows we’ll be doing for a little while as we’re gonna be in the studio recording the long awaited debut album in the next two months!! Excitin’!

My good friend and fellow troubadour MR LEVI WEAVER is coming over all the way from the US to join me. Along with Mr Jimmy Brown and some other great musicians a long the way too.

Happy New Year!!

So, another Xmas is over, another new year is upon us. I hope everyone had a great time over the festive period, i know i did, even though i was ill for most of it! Not good. Anyway, i just wanted to wish you all a very happy new year and i hope whatever it holds in store for you, you are happy and fulfilled :)

Just a little bit of news for you… I am heading into the studio next week with the band, we start recording the long awaited debut album, we have a month and a half or so to do it in, so fingers crossed it should be ready by march/april time. Our producer is a guy i have worked with previously, his names Ben Robbins and he’s a great producer and piano player too. I’m very excited!! Anyways, thats all for now folks, keep smiling and be good.

Gigs and news stuff…

Hey hey everybody, welcome to all the new blog readers…

Just thought i’d do a little update and whats been happening lately. First of all, i’ve had some very cool gigs recently, the past two nights i’ve been supporting Jamie Scott, there was great show at 93 Feet East in London on weds then up to manchester last night to play at Dry Bar, London was great, good crowd and it was a fun show, I enjoyed Manchester, even tho it was raining and very cold, even inside the venue! Also this week, i was lucky enough to get my hands on a guest pass to see Coldplay at the NIA in Birmingham, thanks to the management! Sadly i missed the supportsd which i was keen to see as my name was thrown in the hat to be one of them! Obviously, i didn’t get it, maybe next year! Coldplay were spot on, i almost forgot how many great songs they have done, Clocks especially sounded amazing and the actualy shows was great too, they went to the back of the auditorium about half way through the set to do a little acoutic thing, Chris sang Green Eyes then Will did a cool little kinda country song on his own which was good, all in all a great gig, well worth it.

Oh, i got some news about the long awaited forthcoming debut album! I am going into Dean Street Studios just before Xmas to do a demo of Like My Father Said with the band, if all goes well then we will be back in there all throughout January to record 15 tracks in total, 10 or 12 of which will be on the album, exciting!

American Tour….

Good day to you, one and all… Sorry i’ve been a bit slack with the blog but i’ve been away touring America! It was amazing, NYC, Philly, Washington, upto Toronto, Canada then across to Windsor, back over the border to Detroit then back into New York City again…. Phew, what a trip! I went across to support my good friend and spiritual guide, Mr Levi Weaver, if you haven’t already heard of Levi, go check him out - www.myspace.com/leviweaver he is really very good :)

Anyways, we did a bit of a video tour diary which is in the process of being put together for your viewing pleasure, it shall be up on here very soon so keep checking back for that. I have to say I loved every minute of the trip, New York is amazing, so vast, almost too much to comprehend when you look at it from above, as i did on the flight in… I managed to get in some sight seeing the last day, thanks to McCall for showing me around :) The shows were great too, a big thanks to Jamie Leonhart (www.myspace.com/jamieleonhart) and Billie Raindbird (www.myspace.com/billierainbird) for coming and showing there support at my Rockwood Hall Show :) and to Jamie and Jeff for loaning me the guitar to use! Couldn’t have done it without them, literally! I will be posting some pics up on here but for now you can see most of them on my facebook page…. Just search my name on there, add me as a friend and hey presto! More news to come soon re: the long awaited debut album! Got lots of shows coming up in Birmingham, London and Devon, check the shows page for more info and i’ll hopefully see some of you along the way.
