We wrote about this dangerous lunatic Brett Kimberlin here at Gateway Pundit on Friday.

Patterico added this in an update:

I just got off the phone with Erickson. He says the caller reported an “accidental shooting” and that it was therefore less traumatic than my experience. However, he said, his kids were outside as the police showed up with lights flashing — and some of the cops were keeping their hands on their guns even as his children were running around.

Anyone else think CNN is going to talk about SWATting now?

Steve Burke [sic, actually Beck], who was a casualty officer with the Marines and had to tell people [inaudible]. Um, I, I, ah, back sorry, um, I think it’s interesting because I think it is very difficult to talk about the war dead and the fallen without invoking valor, without invoking the words “heroes.” Um, and, ah, ah, why do I feel so comfortable [sic] about the word “hero”? I feel comfortable, ah, uncomfortable, about the word because it seems to me that it is so rhetorically proximate to justifications for more war. Um, and, I don’t want to obviously desecrate or disrespect memory of anyone that’s fallen, and obviously there are individual circumstances in which there is genuine, tremendous heroism: hail of gunfire, rescuing fellow soldiers and things like that. But it seems to me that we marshal this word in a way that is problematic. But maybe I’m wrong about that.

FAIL. Wisconsin Democrats Hold Big Rally in Madison Before Recall Vote – Only a Couple Hundred Show Up

My, what a difference a year makes…
Last March tens of thousands of angry Wisconsin Democrats and their union backers took to the streets of Madison to rally against Republican Scott Walker and his efforts to balance the state budget.

Police estimated up to 100,000 people turned out in Madison, WI to protest Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) assault on unions. (Think Progress)

Now with less than 10 days before the June 5 recall election, Wisconsin Democrat leaders the Obama Campaign tried to do it again.
Too bad only a couple hundred supporters showed up.

It was a pathetic turnout.

According to the most recent polling average compiled by the political Web site RealClearPolitics, Walker is ahead of his Democratic opponent by 6.4 percentage points.

DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz: Wisconsin Recall Is a Test Run

Wasserman Schultz said the 2012 election will be close but that Americans like the direction Barack Obama is taking the country.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz finally admitted today that the Wisconsin recall election on June 5 is a test run for the presidential election.
CNN reported:

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Sunday classified Democratic efforts in the Wisconsin recall election as a “test run” for the presidential race.

“It’s given the Obama for America operation an opportunity to do the dry run we need of our massive, significant dynamic grassroots presidential campaign,” the Florida representative said of the battleground state on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

It looks like Debbie tried to play down her comments after the show.

Miami police shot and killed a man on the MacArthur Causeway Saturday afternoon, and police sources told CBS4 they had no choice: the naked man they shot was trying to chew the face off another naked man, and refused to obey police orders to stop his grisly meal.

The bizarre shooting happened shortly after 2 p.m., when police responded to a 911 call about two naked men fighting on a bike path along the Causeway, which was packed with traffic on a busy holiday weekend.

Miami police have not confirmed the details of what happened next, but sources close to the investigation told CBS4 News that officers found one man gnawing on the face of another, in what one police source called the most gruesome thing he’d ever seen.

The fight was taking place at the causeway exit near the Miami Herald building, and amazed officers tried to stop it, ordering the man making a meal out of the other man to stop.

Sources told CBS4 that the man refused to obey, and continued his attack. Investigators sharing limited details about the confrontation, saying only that the two men were fighting and the officers felt they had no choice but to take deadly force.

“During this confrontation an officer did discharge his weapon striking one of the individuals, said Det. Willie Moreno, spokesperson for Miami Police.

But the sources close to the investigation say that dry recitation of the facts apparently doesn’t go far enough. They said the man still would not give in to police commands, so officers fired again.

“That individual has lost his life right now,” Moreno said.

With the attacker dead, lying nude on the pavement, officers and paramedics were able to get to his victim and rush him to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Police sources say the man had virtually no face and was unrecognizable.

Green Disaster… Obama Is Spending $5.5 Million Per Green Energy Job

Barack Obama spent $90 billion on Green Energy Jobs creating only 16,100 jobs.
That comes out to $5.5 million per job.

“Twoosh Master” Barack Obama posted this tweet during a Twitter question and answer session Thursday after a campaign event in Des Moines, Iowa.

Never mind the fact that the president did not post a perfect 140-character tweet as he claimed… The real scandal is Barack Obama’s continued dishonesty on the true costs of green energy.
Brian Hughes at the Examiner wrote this today.

Obama spent $90 billion of his stimulus package on green energy projects, including weatherization of buildings and development of electric vehicles. Yet, by the end of last year, just 16,100 people landed new jobs in the so-called green industry, Labor Department statistics show, far short of the 200,000 jobs the White House projected it would help create each year.

That comes out to $5.5 million per green job. What a deal!
But at least President Obama says the cost is coming down. We can hope… But, probably not until after the November election.

MSM Calls Breitbart Contributors “Spawn” And “Bottom Feeders”… But Plagiarizes Them Anyway

This is just amazing…and utterly disgusting. On Friday, Joan Walsh, the editor of Salon, called Andrew Breitbart’s contributors “spawn” and “bottom feeders”. This was less than three months after his death.

The MSM will never give credibility to any of Breitbart’s investigative achievements. Yet, where they lack miserably, they’re unethically happy to steal from the assembled talent Bretibart left behind. Just one day after Andrew Breitbart, who just recently left behind a grieving wife and four young children, was virulently attacked and discredited, the Boston Globe blatantly plagiarized a story that Breitbart News broke two weeks ago, and claimed the investigative report on the lying phony Native American Elizabeth Warren as its own.

Breitbart News reported,

Today the Boston Globe has a front-page, below-the-fold story titled “Filings raise more questions on Warren’s ethnic claims.” It’s a well-written take on documents and information first brought to light here at Breitbart News two weeks ago. Unfortunately, it’s presented as a scoop with no link or reference to the fact that the information has appeared previously in another publication.

Indeed, today’s Globe story, authored by Mary Carmichael (pictured above), explicitly claims this is a brand new scoop: “The documents suggest for the first time that either Warren or a Harvard administrator classified her repeatedly as Native American in papers prepared for the government.”

As you’ll see, that’s simply not true. The key information in the Globe story was reported first by Breitbart News. The easiest way to see this would be to read the two stories back to back, but to simplify things I’ll highlight some passages that are strikingly similar. Here’s the key support the Globe offers for its headline, which appears on page three of their story:

In 1999, Harvard started publishing its full affirmative action plan on its website in the belief that it might be considered a public document.

The report from that year lists one Native American senior professor at the entire university. A section devoted specifically to the law school also lists a single Native American senior professor, presumably the same one. Both entries specify that the professor is female.

Two weeks ago I opened my story here at Breitbart News like this:

A newly revealed document taken from a 1999 Affirmative Action Plan Book published by Harvard University indicates that Elizabeth Warren was officially listed as a Native American by Harvard Law School. Though Warren is not mentioned by name, the report shows just one Native American member of the law school.

Later in the story I included a link to the same document on the Internet Archive which the Globe linked today. This is the key similarity, because without this document, there is no story.

John McCain: “This Administration Has Feckless Foreign Policy That Abandons US Leadership” (Video)

Senator John McCain ripped Barack Obama’s foreign policy today on FOX News Sunday. McCain told Chris Wallace,

“This administration has a feckless foreign policy that abandons US leadership… American leadership is not there. It’s an abdication of everything America stands for and believes in.”

And that’s just his foreign policy.
