Cool Gears of War Xbox 360 Case Mod

I was browsing Digg earlier today and happened to stumple upon this absolutely stunning Gears of War case mod for the Xbox 360. It’s not normally the kind of thing I’d go for, but I think the actual design of the case mod really fits the gritty Gears of War vibe. There’s also a ton of pics of the Gears of War case mod to check out so be sure to take a quick peek.

Here’s one of the better ones:

The designer also added some fancy red lights which power up whenever the Xbox 360 is active. He also went on to mod his Xbox 360 controller, too. Definitely worth a look.

Gears of War 2 Release Date

The official Gears of War 2 release date is currently stated as being November 7, 2008. So not long now then! I believe there are already a number of online gaming retailers whom are taking pre-orders for Gears of War 2. I’m sure if you shop around you might even find that certain online stores will also be offering a small discount on all Gears of War 2 pre-order purchases.

I’ll probably be pre-ordering my Gears of War 2 Special Edition / Gears of War 2 Limited Edition from Amazon UK. They haven’t let me down yet and I can almost always expect to get brand new games delivered to my doors on the day of release. It would definitely be a bonus to be able to play Gears of War 2 on its first day; I’d love to hop online the moment it arrives and be among the first to sample what its online component is about. I loved playing the original Gears of War online, especially Annex and Warzone – those were definitely among my favourite game types.

So remember: The official Gears of War 2 release date is November 7, 2008. Hurry up and get those pre-orders in!

The Gears of War PC port is nearing its official release date and PC owners all around the world are eagerly awaiting their copy to arrive. However, those of you who don’t have the latest hardware powering your computer might need to considering upgrading a few components. Gears of War demo?

There has been a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming XBOX 360 title, Gears of War – so much so you would expect Microsoft to be throwing out a demo as a priority factor in their marketing campaign. People have already been able to play bits of it various public events, so all logic would indicate that the next move would be to put a demo out on the XBOX LIVE market place, ready to be sampled ahead of the game’s general release date. All logic is apparently wrong.

Sadly for those gagging to play a little Gears of War early there seems to be no plans to release a demo as those involved in creating the game say that making a demo would take up valuable time which would otherwise be used to polish the retail version. Whilst we all like a game to be as near to perfect as is possible, a little taster wouldn’t go amiss either but apparently there are plans to get working on more projects the minute Gears of War is released (although there are no details available at this time concerning these projects) so all attention is focused on getting Gears of War finalised and nothing more. On an official note, a Microsoft rep simply said “We have not made any announcements at this time.”
