Sara

Sara is the Siri for non iPhone 4s devices that have been jailbroken. Sara works pretty much like its iPhone 4s counterpart and will answer most of the question people have been asking Siri. Questions like “Will you marry me?”, “Are you a boy?” will be answered with witty responses. It is pretty much the only app that seems to be working on pre iPhone 4s devices flawlessly.

Installing Sara is pretty straigh-forward, you add a source, check for the package, install it and start using the app. To install Saraon your device, open cydia and follow the below steps:

1. Tap on the ‘Manage’ icon on the bottom navigation bar.
2. Tap on the ‘Sources’ menu and then tap the ‘Edit’ button.
3. Tap ‘Add’ button and a text input bubble will pop-up.
4. Enter http://isoftjsc.com as the repo URL.
5. Add the source and then search for “Sara” using the search field in Cydia.

That’s about it, you can now enjoy using Sara on your non-iPhone 4s device running iOS.

CyDelete

It is one of the most useful and time-saving cydia apps you can find today. What it does is, it lets you delete any cydia app pretty much like you delete any other App Store app – tap and hold the app and then press the ‘delete’ icon on top left side of the apps.

CleverPin: Most of us secure our devices with PIN because if we loose our phone, atleast the thief won’t be able to see our data. But, what if you only had to enter the PIN when you left your home or office? CleverPin lets you do just that. It disable the PIN when you are on a particular wi-fi network. For example, your iOS device won’t ask you for a PIN when you are on your home Wi-Fi network. It works pretty much like the AirLock app Store app but with Wi-Fi instead of AirLock’s bluetooth feature.

WeeKillBackground: If you like to close down all apps after you have used your iPhone for the day, you will love this app. WeeKillBackground lets you close all open apps with a single tap on the screen.

AnyLockApp: You can put any app on your lock screen with this cydia tweak. This app can replaces the camera icon on the lock screen with any app of your choosing and hence provides easier access to that app.

Genre: Change the genre of some of your biggest artists and you will have changed genres of hundreds of songs. For example, search for Pink Floyd and change the Genre of songs to Rock n Roll or anything and you will see a lot of progress.

Automatic Album Artwork: By registering yourself on iTunes which you can do using Paypal too, you can automatically download album artwork from the iTunes Store. In order to so that from the Advanced menu, choose “Get Album Artwork.”

Music transfer: In just one step you can add songs from a CD into a playlist. The same procedure can be used to enter new tracks into existing playlist.

It slows down your computer and iTunes by sending random data to Apple and also creates playlist that sync with your iDevice each time you connect it, thus wasting your time. We recommend you turn off the Genius feature under the drop down menu of  “Store”.

Wish Lists: There might be many songs on iTunes store that you would like to buy and  at that time might not be in a position to buy but are planning to buy it in the future. Now, how do you find one when you want it? Simple, Just make a wish list. Create a new playlist in iTunes and then shop the iTunes Store. When you find a song that you want, drag the listing to your new playlist. You can then listen to a preview of any item on your wish list and even buy it directly from the playlist too.

Parental Control: If there is stuff you would like to keep away form from naughty children or oldies you can change the parental control by going to the iTunes Preferences, and clicking on Parental. Then Select the items you wish to disable or restrict and then click the lock to prevent changes. To change your settings, click the lock and then enter your password to gain access again.

Backup: Perform frequent back ups so that you don’t have to go for collecting your precious music from the bottom again if your data is lost sometime. You can do this by going to File, Library, Back Up to Disk. You’ll get the option to back up the entire iTunes library and all playlists, or just your iTunes store purchases, or even just items added since your last backup. This option is best for backup of a small library to a blank DVD.

Update: iCloud pretty much turned this feature useless. With iTunes match, you can store upto 20,000 songs in Apple’s cloud storage and if you have a lower quality song, they will replace it with a higher quality song.

Aurora: Aurora is The first Mac software that helps you to sleep at ease by allowing your Mac to sleep according to your desired set time and also wake you up in the morning with sound of your favorite music playing in your ears instead of annoying alarm tone. Download Aurora.

Bandwagon – A backup service which automatically backs up your entire iTunes library to a remote server of your choice. However, and at present it is only available for Mac. Download Bandwagon.

Dupe Eliminator: Helps you clean your hard disk space by distinguishing between duplicate and original files. It is an intuitive tool for Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP that removes all those duplicate files quickly and easily, including songs, movies, TV shows, podcasts and audiobooks. It also provides a tab for a quick library report. Download Dupe Eliminator.

Built-in Dupe Finder: Apple subsequently built a similar feature into later versions of iTunes and now you are able to detect and delete duplicates right within iTunes itself. To find duplicates, go to File > Display Duplicates. And then you can manually delete all the songs you don’t want.

Rinse App: If you want something more sophisticated, you can use another app called Rinse. This app helps you to quickly and easily remove thousands of duplicate songs from your iTunes. Download Rinse.

TuneUp: If you hate messed up ID3 tags like artist name, album name, Genre etc., this app is for you. It repairs all ID3 tags and metadata. It will also find and select an Album Art for your songs. Centralized Settings and Voice Recorder in Bada 2.0 OS

Here is how you will be able to install Bada 2.0 on your brand new (or old) Samsung Wave II mobile phone.

First of all you need to download: Bada 2.0 firmware and Multiloader 5.65.

1. Backup all your files and contacts on the PC using Samsung Kies.
2. Now Switch off your phone and remove Sim Card and Memory Card.
3. Make sure your phone’s battery is fully charged.
4. Prepare Mini USB cable for connecting PC with mobile phone (do not connect the phone yet).
5. Press volume key down + lock key + power button.Your phone is now in download mode.
6. Connect the phone with your PC using Mini USB cable.
7. Wait for your system to detect the connected device.
8. Once the device is connected, run Multiloader v5.65.
9. Select LSI, tick Boot Change then tick Full Download.
10. Click Boot and select “Boot Files”. All these files and folders are inside the package you downloaded above.
11. Click AMSS and select “amss.bin” file.
12. Click APPS and select “apps_compressed.bin”.
13. Click RSRC1 and select “Rsrc_S8530_Open_Europe_Common.rc1”.
14. Click RSRC2 and select “Rsrc2_S8530(Mid).rc2”.
15. Click FACTORY FS and select “FactoryFs_S8530_Open_Europe_Common.ffs”.
16. Click CSC and select “CSC_S8530_Open_Europe_Common_OXA_KH3.csc”.
17. Click SHP button and select “ShpApp.app”.
18. Leave the FOTA, TUNE, ETC, PFS unchanged. See the image below.
19. Now Click Port Search and it will detect your device, if not then connect your phone in any other port and search again.
20. After it detects your device, Click Download button and you will see download in progress.
21. During flashing, the phone will restart several times. There is no need to be worried.
22. Once the download is completed, you can unplug your device and enjoy Bada 2.0 on your Samsung Wave II.

• Warning: Do not unplug the USB cable while flashing, it may Brick your device and you will not be able to use it.

As this is not the Official Bada 2.0, there are some bugs as is to be expected. After Flashing your device you need to change some setting to avoid some hiccups in the user experience. To avoid some of these problems, you just have to follow these few steps:

1. Go to PreConfig by pressing *#5239870*# on your phone’s keypad.
2. Select “Pre Config”.
3. Password is *#27236*#.
4. And select “DBT”.
5. Now your phone will restart again.
6. After restarting this is the last step you must do: dial *#33284*# and select debug level to “low”.
7. Your phone will restart again and maybe the language is changed too. Change the language back to English and your are done.

Congratulations, you have now successfully installed Bada 2.o operating system on your Wave II mobile phone.

Bonus Tip: How to change the default Theme.

1. First of all, download the themes you like for your phone. Make sure the extension is “.smt”. A simple google search will land you 10′s of themes for Bada 2.0.
2. Download STune.
3. Connect your phone with your PC in Kies mode (Kies is necessary for Drivers, otherwise your computer will not recognise your phone).
4. Now start STune and select Samsung Mobile USB Modem.
5. Select Browser Tab.
6. Now select AppEx, it will expand like a tree.
7. Select User > Theme > Download. See the image below
8. Now Drag  “.smt” file to the RHS of the Stune (under Files section).
9. Unplug the device and go to Settings > Display > Theme.
10. You will see new themes that you just added, apply the desired theme and enjoy.

Kindle

If you already own a Kindle and purchase most of your book on Amazon’s Kindle store, you are going to love this app. You can read a book on your Kindle, open the Kindle app on Android and it will automatically take you to the page where you left you. It works great and lets you change the font of the books, font size, brightness and backgrounds. It will automatically sync all your book from Kindle or any other device where you installed the app. This app has more than 10 million downloads and allow your to purchase book as well.

By default, PlayBook supports wallpapers with a resolution of 1024×1024 pixels. So, all the ones we have collected below are with 1024×1024 resolution, that means you can set them as a wallpaper on your iPad too. Feel free to download any one of them and pimp your Playbook.
