We have one of those whole-house air purifiers that has about 80 million different settings. It's usually set at the nice, subtle, low-volumed "sleep, small room" setting. If I'm working and need to cancel out all other sounds so I can focus, I can increase the white noise output by changing the setting to "super, extra large room" and I won't even be able to hear the phone ring. Plus, you know, all that filtered air is helpful for focusing...

All I need is music that I have heard before (blues or metal) going in the background and I don't have too much trouble paying attention. If there is no background noise, I get really antsy and can't pay attention to anything - mild case of tinnitus perhaps?

It sounds to me like you were going to brush your teeth, then realized you didn't have toothpaste. You went to the store to get toothpaste, but saw and purchased beef jerky instead. Then you realized you didn't buy toothpaste, and had spent all your money.
Maybe your subconscious is telling you to be more responsible?

That's pretty impressive that you're able to keep your gas spending under $30. It costs me $50+ just to fill up my Jetta.

At least you're going to the gym. My wife and I have memberships to a local gym here, but we haven't quite made it part of our weekly routine yet.

I heard there's a gym in Scottsdale, AZ that offers valet parking. So not only can you drive to the gym, but you also don't have to walk from your car to the front door. How nice...
