The HTC Desire features a 3.7 inch AMOLED WVGA touchscreen display, has a 1GHz Qualcomm snapdragon processor, a microSD card slot, A-GPS, GPS, and it comes with Google Android 2.1.

It also features a five megapixel camera with a built in flash and also an optical joystick and a built in FM Radio. Good news if you don’t fancy getting one which is the same color as the Nexus one as HTC are also releasing a silver version.

I have to admit the HTC Desire looks pretty nice in silver, is it enough to tempt me away from the iPhone? I guess I will have to see what it is like in action when it goes on sale.

One thing it won’t offer is support for Windows XP, as Microsoft has officially announced that IE9 will not support XP, I guess the want users to upgrade to Windows 7.

I am not a fan of Internet explorer, but if Microsoft are able to make similar changes to their browser as they have to their OS with the new Windows 7, and their mobile phone OS Windows Phone 7, it may end up being a popular browser.

It will be interesting to see if it is any good when it is released, if you want to you can download an early test build of IE9 from Microsoft.

The i-Got-Control is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch, and apparently Apple’s new iPad, it comes with 40,000 IR codes for different consumer electronic devices pre-programmed and an application that is available to download from iTunes.

“i-Got-Control empowers users to operate A/V devices, as well as many other pieces of IR equipment, including lighting and HVAC systems, no matter where they are,” said Doug Schwartz, president of i-Got-it.com. “It also features an extensive built-in IR library, which means that — unlike most remote controls and other similar products in the marketplace — i-Got-Control does not require ‘learning,’ making it simple and easy to set up and use.”

The Shuttle XPC X50V2 comes with a new dual core Intel Atom D510 Pine Trail processor and integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics, and it features a 15.6 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366 x 768.

It will take up to 4GB of RAM, and you can add in a 2.5 inch HDD or solid state drive (SSD). The Shuttle XPC X50V2 will be available in Europe shortly for 353 Euros about $586.

You can also check what cars of the same model are available for sale in your area, and also access peformance data, and pricing information. This could come in quite handy if you spot an exotic sports car you want to buy.

Microsoft’s Windows Phone Executive Todd Brix said  “We don’t enable copy and paste and we do that very intentionally”, it does seem somewhat of a strange move considering the amount of hassle Apple received over the lack of copy and paste in the iPhone.

Instead Windows Phone 7 will have something called smart linking, which will let you double click on a phone number and either call it or add it to your phonebook.

This is definitely a strange move as Windows Phone 7 will have support for Microsoft Word and other office functions, you would think that copy and paste would be a fundamental part of these programs.

Who knows this may be something that Microsoft adds to Windows Phone 7 in the future, but for now this is one advantage that the Apple iPhone will have over Windows Phone 7 smartphones.

At the moment the Google Nexus One website is showing the Nexus One available as a SIM free phone for $529, that is compatible with AT&T’s 3G network and also the Rogers Canada network.

No doubt both AT&T will start selling the Nexus One shortly with a mobile phone contract, although there are no details as yet on how much the Nexus One will cost on a contract, and how much the monthly contract will be.

This would put the Nexus One in direct competition with the iPhone if AT&T start to offer a similar monthly contract. As soon as we get some more details on contracts that will be available we will let you guys know.

What they did manage to do was change Geeky Gadgets title in Google, if you type ‘Geeky Gadgets’ into Google you will see that our site title has been changed to something different.

The BrainPort miniature video camera and sensory equipment works by converting visual images into a series of electrical pulses which are relayed to the wearer via their tongue. Different images are then built using different strength pulses. Allowing the wearer to navigate around objects or even pick them up.

The BrainPort is currently only in a prototype stage at the moment currently sends information to 400 points on the tongue. However the designers plan to increase this to 4,000 points, providing a clearer image in the future.

“It feels like licking a nine volt battery or like popping candy,” Lundberg explained.

Adding fuel to the already diminishing relationship between Google and Apple after Apple recently sued the phone maker HTC and Manufacturer of Google’s Nexus One over patent infringement. Which then forced Google to defend its hardware partner.

Last December Google tried to register the name of its new phone “Nexus One” but the registration failed and the existing owner of the word “nexus”- one Integra Telecom – was awarded possession.

Google is likely to appeal on the basis that has never been involved with the oil industry. But wouldn’t it have been easier to do this before the launch of its phone?

Well, it may not stop there either for Google, it still hasn’t secured the Android name either. Supposedly treading on the toes of aspirational robots, Google is still involved in a claim and counterclaim situation from registrant Erich Specht. Mr. Specht’s claim continues to be the subject of a civil action.

The Spring Design Alex is available to order for $399 from Spring Design, and you will be able to pre-order one later today and it will ship in the middle of April.

The Alex eReader is a dual screen device, it features a 6 inch E-Ink EPD display and a 3.5 inch color LCD display, and it runs on Google’s Android OS.

It measures 4.7 inches by 8.9 inches and is about half an inch thick, with a weight of about 11 ounces. The Alex eReader connects to Google’s bookstore and users have access to over one million books.

It also features support for some Google Android applications, and it features a built in web browser and a WiFi connection. It certainly does look like one of the more interesting e-readers that we have seen.

The Cabestan Nostromo is constructed mainly from titanium and the case is coated with a superluminova phosphorescent paint which reveals a subtle yellow green light that flows around the wheels bridges, drums and drive shafts when in lowlight.

The open design of the watch allows for the viewing of the vertical mechanics from both the front and the back, including the drive shaft which is used to transmit the required energy to power the movements.

However this watch and it’s amazing and unique design doesn’t come cheap. If you’re interested it’s available to purchase for 150,000 Swiss Francs around $141,400.

The Sony Vaio M Series  will feature a 10.1 inch LED display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, and it is powered by an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor.

Storage comes in the form of a 250GB 5400 rpm SATA hard drive, and there is also 1GB of DDR2 RAM, graphics is provided by an integrated Intel GMA 3150 chip and there is also a built in web camera.

Connectivity on the Sony Vaio M series comes in the form of 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, there is also a pair of built in stereo speakers, a mono microphone and three USB 2.0 ports.

The Sony Vaio M Series netbook will be available in the UK shortly for around £299 about $450, and it will come in a choice of black and white. There are no details as yet on when it will go on sale in the US.

The Coffee Inhaler is a small device about the size of a shotgun shell, and each one contains 100mg of caffeine, which according to the manufacturer is about the same caffeine as in a cup of espresso.

If you want one, the Coffee Inhaler is available for $3 or $8 for a box of three from Le Whif. I think I may have to get a few of these as it might wake me up a bit quicker in the mornings.

I’m also not 100% sure that the combination of a web cam and vacuum cleaning is the best idea. As the Smart Robot G182 vacuum doesn’t actually use the web cam for positional or location control while vacuuming and the camera mounting just makes it more awkward for the vacuum to manoeuvre into tight spaces.

Sky there is now fixed its sights on a 3D future by purchasing 15,000 3D Tv’s from television manufacturer LG for use in public venues to broadcast live £D sports events.

Sky is looking to provide weekly 3D broadcasts of Premier league games and is looking to roll this out within the next couple of months in the UK.

Although it looks like Microsoft will only be supporting Windows 7 Phone, there is still the possibility for developers to bring these game title to Android and the iPhone.

Novell has demonstrated an Indiana Jones Game, which microsoft if currently showing for the Xbox and Windows Phone 7. It seems like the Android version of the software is in the early stages of development, but the iPhone version could be available quite soon.

This could be great news fro developers, and also for gamers, as the developers would be able to release games for each of the platforms, and this would probably include games for Apple’s new iPad which runs on the iPhone OS.

The guys over ate Engadget managed to get some shots of three new devices from Asus, LG and Samsung, although there are no details as yet on what sort of specifications each model will feature.

What we can tell from the photos is that all three devices, have a similar sized screen, and the LG device features a slide out QWERTY keyboard.

The Packard Bell Studio ST feature a HDMI connection so you can hook it up to your HDTV and playback HD videos, and it also features built in Dolby Digital decoding.

There is also a USB port so you can also playback files from a USB drive. The Packard Bell Studio ST will be available in a range of different sizes from 500GB to 2TB.

It will be available in Europe initially, there are no details on pricing and no details on when it will go on sale in the US.
