Samsung’s portfolio of trademarks for its Galaxy range of smartphones has been growing over the last couple of months, and now Samsung has added a bunch of new Trademarks to its Galaxy devices.

The latest Samsung Galaxy trademarks were filed with the USPTO on the 10 of May and they include the Lunge,the Samsung Galaxy Forge, the Galaxy Wield, The Galaxy Mission, Galaxy Rivet and Galaxy Victory.

Apple And China Mobile In Talks Over iPhone

China Mobile is the world’s largest phone company in terms of the amount of subscribers it has, and now China Mobile’s Chairman Xi Guohua has announced at its recent shareholder meeting that the company is in talks with Apple to sell Apple’s iPhone.

Xi did not reveal how far along the discussions were with the two companies, although he did say that he can’t predict if the two companies will come to an agreement this year.

Yesterday HTC announced their latest Android smartphone, the HTC Desire C, and we just got an email from the guys over at Clove to let us know that the SIM free HTC Desire C will be available from next Thursday the 24th of May.

The SIM free version of the HTC Desire C will retail for £189.99 including taxes, and the handset has just gone up for pre-order, it will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Facebook Increases IPO Share Offering Again

Yesterday we heard that Facebook had increased the number of shares that they were making available for their IPO, and again today Facebook has increased the number of shares that will be available to purchase.

Facebook will now be offering an a total of 421 million Class A shares, and that means with the total shares available Facebook could end up raising a massive $16 billion.

iZettle Europe’s answer to Jack Dorsey’s Square mobile credit card payment system. It is now gearing up to launch this summer and has started shipping 3,000 iZettle chip-card readers to selected businesses and individuals across the UK.

The main difference between the iZettle system and Jack Dorsey’s Square system, is that Square, offers a mag-stripe reader, rather down a chip-card reader. The video below shows iZettle in action and how it will provide UK and European businesses with a similar payment service to Square.

2012 iPhone To Feature 4 Inch Display According To WSJ

Apple’s iPhone 4S has a 3.5 inch display, and the previous versions of the handset also featured a similar sized display, we have been hearing rumors for a while that this years new iPhone will come with a larger display with 4 inches been the size that many are reporting.

Now the WSJ is reporting that the new 2012 iPhone will go into production in June, and that it will come with a larger 4 inch display as opposed to the 3.5 inch display on the existing model.

The new Samsung Galaxy S III will go on sale in the UK on the 30th of May, but it looks like some people who have pre-ordered the Galaxy S III will be getting their handset a day earlier on the 29th of May.

Anyone who pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy S III from Samsung’s own store at the Westfiled Stratford City shopping center will be able to pick up their new handset from 6pm on the 29th, everyone else will have to wait until the 30th of May.

Google has today launched a new research tool feature which its now added to its Google Docs. The new feature within Google Docs now allows you to carry out searches and research content without the need to leave the document you are currently typing.

The new Research Tool is positioned on the right hand side of your documents and has a search box which you can use to narrow down your search results to specifics, such as images or quotations by using the drop-down menu in the search bar.

Yesterday the guys over at The Verge reported that HTC’s latest Android smartphones, the HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G which were due to be released in the US shortly had been delayed.

Both devices have been delayed by US Customs as they investigate patent issues with Apple, and some shipments of both devices are actually being held by customs at the moment.

Yesterday stories were making the rounds that Foxconn CEO Terry Gou had said that the company was getting its facilities ready to produce the Apple HDTV. Foxconn has now come back and said that the reports that Gou have confirmed the company would be working on an Apple HDTV are inaccurate.

Foxconn really had no choice but to deny the statement whether or not it was accurate because Apple would surely come down hard on the company.

Facebook Offering 50.6M Extra Shares In IPO, Price Range $34 To $38

Facebook has filed a new amended S-1 before its IPO which happens later this week, and the company has announced that they will be selling an extra 50,162,302 shares and the have also announced that the expected new price range is between $34 and $38 per share.

That means that Facebook is offering close to 337.5 million shares, which would see the company raising a massive $12.1 billion assuming the shares go for around $36.

Sony has added some new notebooks to its E Series range with the launch of the Sony Vaio E Series 15 and E Series 17 notebooks, and both models will be available a range of Intel processors.

The two models share similar hardware specifications except for the screen size, the E Series 15 features a 15.5 inch display with a resolution of 1366 x768 pixels, whilst the E Series 17 features a 17.3 inch display with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels.

O2 Launching 42 Mbps 3G in Major UK Cities

O2 UK mobile network has this week confirmed that they are currently in the process of rolling out a faster variant of DC-HSPA, that will support speeds of up to 42Mbps.

Currently O2 is rolling out the new faster DC-HSPA (dual-cell high speed packet access) to “major” cities in the UK. However O2 was unable to specify exactly which cities, but London, Birmingham and Manchester are likely to receive the new technology first.

Verizon recently officially announced the new Droid Incredible 4G LTE, which is expected to be available shortly, unfortunately they did not release any pricing details when the handset was announced.

Now according to the guys over at Droid Life, The Droid Incredible 4G LTE will retail for $149 after a $50 mail in rebate, this price has yet to be confirmed by Verizon Wireless.

Nokia has announced two new dual SIM mobile phones, the Nokia 110 and the Nokia 112, both devices are designed to be budget mobile phones but also come with a range of social networking features built in.

Both handsets feature a 1.8 inch display and a candybar design, plus a VGA camera, and up to 32GB of storage, plus a built in radio and a dual SIM feature.

At the Information Security Expo, a new system called Data Killer has been showcased by Platform of Japan, which is able to instantly obliterate data on on computer hard drives and magnetic media.

Yestersay we heard a rumor that US mobile carrier Verizon Wireless would be dropping the price of the Droid RAZR Maxx, the handset was originally available from Verizon for $299.99 when you signed up to a new two year contract.

Verizon has now reduced the price of the Droid RAZR Maxx to $199, when you sign up to a new two year contract with Verizon, and the handset features similar specifications to the original RAZR, although it features a larger capacity battery.

Yesterday we saw a leaked photo of the new HTC Desire C, and now HTC has officially announced their latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone which is designed to be a budget device.

The HTC Desire C features a 3.5 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, plus a 600MHz processor and 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built in storage.the handset also comes with 25GB of Dropbox storage.

Honda has today unveiled their latest creation in the form of the Honda UNI-CUB Personal Mobility Device. The Honda UNI-CUB is the next generation mobility device building on the U3-X which was unveiled by Honda back in 2009.

Apple’s iCloud To Get Photo Sharing Feature?

We have been hearing quite a bit about Apple’s iCloud over the last week, first we heard that iCloud would be getting notifications on their iCloud website, and yesterday we heard that reminders and notes were also headed to the web based version of iCloud.

Now according to a recent report from the WSJ, Apple also intends to launch a new photo sharing feature in iCloud, and it is expected to be announced at Apple’s WWDC 2012 which starts on the 11th of June.
