Some clever hackers have come up with a new way to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS, called the iDongle. The iDongle is a hardware jailbreak for you iPhone and it will work with the iPhone OS 3.1 or later.

It just plugs into the 30 pin connector on the bottom of your iPhone, and according to the guys who made it they will be updating the software for future releases of the iPhone OS.

The iDongle can be updated by plugging it into a USB port. One thing though whilst it will jailbreak you iPhone it wont unlock it from your network provider. You can find out more details here.

Second, there are the difficulties of escaping a vehicle that has been submerged in water. Water pressure may make it difficult or impossible to open doors or lower windows until water has seeped in and the internal pressure is equalized.”

It certainly seems like a clever idea, maybe car manufacturers should think about building something like this into car seatbelts, it could end up coming in handy if you are ever in an accident.

The ExiTool will be available shortly from CRKT for $27.

Yesterday we told you about the new user interface on Fusion Garage’s JooJoo tablet, now it looks like some actual hardware specifications have been revealed thanks to some FCC documents.

The JooJoo looks to have NVIDIA’s ION platform and an Intel Atom N270 processor, on top of that there is 3G support with a built in sim card slot, although Fusion Garage have said that the initial model won’t feature 3G.

With the combination of the NVIDIA ION and the Intel Atom N270 processor, the JooJoo will probably only have a battery life of around five hours, which ins’t that much when you compare it to other models like the Apple iPad.

Although the JooJoo is capable of Full HD video playback in 1080p, so that may be worth the having at the expense of a longer battery life.

It is that time of the year when Apple [AAPL] are due to release details of the next generation iPhone, the latest rumor doing the rounds is that the iPhone 4G (fourth generation) will feature multitasking support.

One of the main problems with the iPhone is that you can only run one application at once, if you want to use a different application, you have to close the app you are currently using and then launch the new one.

According to Apple Insider, iPhone OS 4.0 will deliver multitasking to the iPhone, which could possibly mean that this feature will be rolled out to existing models of the iPhone and also the Apple iPad which will ship with the iPhone OS 3.2.

There are no details on when we could possibly see iPhone OS 4.0, but it will most likely coincide with the launch of the iPhone 4G, and going on past release dates of the iPhone this could be some time around June or July 2010.

At the moment it is just a rumor, but this is likely something that Apple will implement in the future if it wants to compete with mobile phone operating systems like Google Android.

If your a slacker at work you might like to read this. The Japanese phone giant KDDI has created a mobile phone that is capable of tracking your movements and what work you are doing during your daily business routine.

For example, the KDDI mobile phone strapped to waist of a cleaner can note the differences between actions performed such as scrubbing, sweeping, walking an even emptying a rubbish, then beam these back to their superior for analysis.

According to KDDI the aim of the tracking system is to enable employees to work more efficiently and managers to easily evaluate their employees’ performance while away from the office. KDDI already has a Japanese employment agency interested in deploying the new technology. It will be interesting to see how any privacy issues related to this mobile phone will be handled by employers.

Google [Goog] has launched a new version of its popular Google Reader RSS reader called Google Reader Play, which is optimized for tablet computers.

The new RSS reader is also designed for people who don’t want to spend the time setting up an RSS reader, and it uses a graphical navigation system to guide your through your RSS feeds.

Google Reader play recommends items to you based on what you mark as liked or disliked and you can get information from you own recommended items in your Google Reader account.

You can also setup you RSS feeds from within Google Reader, so they are displayed in the Google Reader play interface. It does look quite interesting and might be useful for tablet computers.

The EEG head gear allows you to write texts, let the computer speak the written text, print out or copy the text into an e-mail or to send commands to external devices via brain control.

The system originally designed to assist patients with locked-in syndrome or other disabilities and can be used to trigger alarms if needed.

The system is very easy to learn say the manufactures and within only 10-15 mins you can be controlling your PC. Unforutunately theres no launch date as yet but the system will be available to buy for around $12,250 shortly.

Tablet computers are going to be one of the most popular gadgets this year, since the annoucement of the Apple iPad there certainly has been a lot more interest in tablets.

Toshiba are working on a range of tablets that they intend to launch by the end of 2010, or the beginning of 2011, although they havent released any details on their tablets as yet.

Jeff Barney from Toshiba thinks that tablets are going to be popular as well, “It has proved to be a mistake to underestimate these new categories,” he said. “And besides, we need new category creation to grow our industry.”

There are no details on what we can expect from Toshiba, although they will probably release a Windows 7 based tablet, who know we could even see a Google Android tablet from them.

Microsoft [MSFT] has just launched a new video service that will let users watch free TV pro grammes in a bid to take on the BBC’s iPlayer, the MSN Video Player.

The MSN Video Player is free, but people who use the service will have to watch a 30 second advertisement, before, during and after the program. To be honest that doesn’t sound to bad.

The MSN Video Player is launching in the UK, initially, there are no details on when it will be available in the US and the rest of the world, as soon as we find out more details we will let you guys know.

“The iPad is supposed to be a ‘go anywhere, do anything’ device,” said Josh Beatty, founder of modulR. “The modulR case and accessories help make that vision a reality by allowing you to easily and safely take the iPad into new settings, like your kitchen and the backseat of your car – places you might not feel comfortable taking a naked iPad. After all, no one wants to scratch or scuff their pricey new toy.”

Accessories for the ModulR include a low profile wall mount that is designed for the kitchen so you can mount your iPad on your wall and use it to look up recipes and etc.

There is also a collapsible display stands that you can use to stand your iPad on your desk or any flat surface for watching movies and displaying photos.

There is also a shoulder strap accessory and a headrest accessory that lets you attach the iPad to your cars headrest so your kids can watch movies in the back of the car.

The ModulR iPad case will go on sale in the summer of 2010, there are no details on pricing as yet.

Thanks Josh for the tip!

The Microsoft Zune HD hasn’t been out for very long, but we are already hearing rumors that Microsoft are working on a new version of their Zune HD, the Zune HD2.

The Zune HD2 is likely to take advantage of Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 7 platform, and it looks like the device will be similar to the iPod Touch, and it will take advantage of Microsoft’s new XNA Game Studio 4.0 for games.

After the screenshots we saw yesterday of new games from Microsoft on their Windows Phone 7 Platform, a Zune HD2 is probably pretty likely, and if the games look at good as we saw yesterday, the iPod could end up having some serious competition.

At the moment nothing has been confirmed by Microsoft, as soon as we get more details we will let you guys know.

Apple has released the latest Beta version of the iPhone SDK, to developers, iPhone 3.2 SDK Beta 4. The guys over at 9 To 5 Mac have uncovered some interesting new Gesture Controls in the latest build of the iPhone SDK.

The iPhone SDK 3.2 is due to launch at the same time as the Apple iPad, and these new gesture controls are likely to be on the iPad at launch.

There are two new gesture commands in the latest SDK, which include 3TAP.plist and LongPress.plist, which suggests that Apple is going to let developers take advantage of these new gesture controls in their applications.

Apple has also removed several icons that were found in the last SDK Beta which related to video chat, so it doesn’t look like we will see the iPad launch with a video camera, this is something that will probably be added in the next generation iPad and the iPhone 4G to offer users video chat.

According to Reuters Motorola and Microsoft [MSFT] have formed a partnership that will see Microsoft’s Bing as the default search on Motorola handsets, and also bring Microsoft’s Maps to their smartphones.

It looks like the first phone which will feature the new service will launch in China within the next few weeks, with the possibility of expansion into other countries.

As China and Google are in dispute over Google’s search, this deal makes sense as Motorola will be able to launch smartphones with search built in in China.

It is not clear whether we will see Bing as the default search in other countries like the US and the UK, although this could be a possibility as we have already seen AT&T’s first Android powered smartphone launch with Yahoo Search.

As Android is an open platform, manufacturers can choose exactly what sort of applications and default search providers they want to install on their smartphones when they are shipped.

If Microsoft are obviously paying manufacturers to use Bing we could end up seeing more and more Android smartphone makers switching from Google Serach.

Some of our readers will remember the OnLive cloud gaming platform that we told you about back in March of 2009, good news as they have just announced that OnLive will launch on the 17th of June 2010.

The OnLive gaming service is slightly different than console gaming, all you will need to play a game on the platform is either a PC or a Mac, the games are actually run from OnLive server, similar to cloud computing so you will be able to play them even on low end computers.

OnLive has also announced that it will be launching a MicroConsole, which is basically a cheap cassette sized adapter than can be plugged into your PC to stream games from the OnLive server.

It certainly will be interesting to see how well the OnLive platform works. If they get it right and are able to stream the same quality games as consoles to a TV, PC or Mac it could end up being a really popular gaming service.

There are no details as yet on how much the OnLive gaming platform will cost, as soon as we find out more details we will let you guys know.
