On the screenshot below, you can see you need to pick left (basic) or right (extra power).

First I tried going to the right (extra power) and when I was done picking options I ended up with a price of 1048,01 euros.

To be able to change some more on the config I also tried the left option. To my surprise the same config as above lead to a cheaper price of 1028,02 euros.

Now could anyone tell me why I would want to give Apple 20 euros for no apparant reason?!??!?

UPDATE: Ok mea culpa, the 20 euro’s is for the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB instead of the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 128 MB, but then again it should be listed..

As always my answer is “I don’t know”. This answer usually leads to the question “You must have thought about where you want to be in 5 years, right?” and my answer is “no”.

I never plan my life more than 6 months ahead, because life has taught me that in 6 months everything around you can change. Also not having a ‘masterplan’ has worked quite well for me, I can understand that for other people not having a clear goal or vision could cause stress, but the ambiguity of not deciding feels liberating to me.

Sometimes people view not having a clear plan as a lack of ambition. I think that not having a plan is a way to keep all options open and not limit myself to some goal I dreamt up years ago.

The weird thing is that I am quite precise about short term planning, there are only a few days in the next couple weeks where I don’t have something planned already. Every device I have has my agenda synced to it.

Trusting in my ability to ‘make the right decisions’ has worked for me so far, but I must admit I do wonder what could happen if I actually focus on something, the question remains focus on what?
