Thinking and figuring for a few days, I decided to bring back the blogging moments to my life. Have been almost a year I never update my blog, I was just active more in social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare. Since I was using smartphone, the activity on blogging was really less. At last, I told myself that blogging was fun and I shouldn't give up on it!

The raining Monday at Penang Skill Development Centre (PSDC)

Well, today actually I didn't prepare any topic to write. Maybe I will just update for todays weather and today's happening? Alright, I think I will use Instagram photos to describe most of the things because it is easier and without editing it.

Last night went to grocery shopping with family and celebrated my dad's birthday! We went to mydin for a simply grocery shopping and the items there are lower price than other places. After that, went to celebrate my dad's birthday at coffee shop type restaurant. Delicious food located at Relau! :) Next post will be telling you guys what have I done in previous days, stay tuned! Khui Thai Seaside at Teluk Kumbar

It is the seaside view again. Last year, I was like so happy when travelled to seaside! Maybe staying at seaside makes me feel more freedom! Anyway, I did my first time driving to Khun Thai Seaside. Not going for food but just for photography. I was like crazy about photography last time and until today I still love photography! :D

Khun Thai is a seafood restaurant name but for those outsiders they will called this place as Khun Thai Seaside. Anyway, the real name at here is called as Gertak Sanggul. The seaside here is very nice and the sandy beach is quite okay and the water is not that dirty like Teluk Kumbar.

Walking along the seaside, you can get better feeling instead of living under the stress in the city. This place is not blocked by any islands and the beach walkway is quite wide. It is a good place for model shooting or portrait shooting for those photographers who would like to do so.

Not to forget to visit Khun Thai seafood restaurant too as i was using their walkway to come over to the beach. Well, i think it is a great place which will full of people at night especially during holidays or weekends. I never have the dinner there but I tried it once, it nice and spicy! The original Thailand taste.

Some decorations at the restaurant. I got a feeling like being inside the jungle which near to seaside. We could have the food inside it. How nice is it right? The good food with good place makes the perfect dinner feeling. I usually heard of many people brought their families to there!

Lastly, this is the "Khun Thai Taxi" which placed in front of the restaurant. I don't think it can move and just the decorations outside the shop. Final conclusion, this is a good place and hope it will last long and no big development there along the beautiful seaside! :D Posted by GenYong 19.02.2013

PSDC Compound Walkabout

So far, I have enrolled myself at PSDC for almost a year already. I think 3 more months, it's officially 1 year study at here. However, PSDC is a good development centre for all the technicians and engineers. Even those who are working at factory also come over and have the improvement study. Prove that PSDC is quite a good institution to learn the skills on electrical and electronics.

This was snapped a few months ago and I just uploaded to write out something. They are my classmates and some of them are from Butterworth which they are hardworking to drive to the island everyday. My college mates so far are friendly and have the high aim! Now in my group even having 4 person gaining the TOP 10 award in PSDC. Cool!

The environment for PSDC is good and compare to other colleges, it was not that bad. But honestly something have to be improved as well especially the WiFi signal in the college. Others are still okay and acceptable. I love the green environment and the cafeteria service there! They served the good food.

Anyway, I hope I can have my another 1.5 years with a lot of memories in PSDC. I am looking forward for more interesting subjects coming soon in the next semester. I will try my best to study well in this college and hope to have some achievement throughout here too! PSDC is the good institution in Penang! :D Posted by GenYong 26.01.2013

Primary Classmates Hang Out

It was almost 6 years I never hang out with my primary mates and some of them even lost contact. Since I have used Facebook, I found back most of them and started to chit chat back from the primary school memories. Some of them might remember, some of them might forget as well for me too. However, on the year 2012 I recruited myself in PSDC and it's a local college that in Bayan Lepas. So most of my primary schoolmates were there and I used to have the chance to spend my life with them again. :D

#3 They were all my primary classmates from left, David's cousin, David, Zhao Yang, Chang Yin and Kai Lun. We used to have fun together last time in primary school.

They knew that I loved to take photos! That's why they left me at Gurney Paragon to take some structure photos! Seriously, I love to see those amazing building designs. Do you have the same interest too? Btw, from my comments, I like Gurney Paragon and I believe it will be rocking in Penang this 2013!

Here we came to Gurney Plaza, we were like nothing to do after the movie. Just walk outside the mall and have some look on the seaview. Looking people arounds take some photos and just like that. Quite bored? Hahaha, because boys are usually not shopping one! :P

I seldom been to Gurney Plaza, and it was really changed from time to time. Gurney Plaza management keep on expanding the mall. Increased more parking spaces for shoppers and of course increased more shoplots too! I just realize that those restaurants have gathered at the pathway between Gurney Plaza and G Hotel.

Study at Jing-Zi Books & Cafe

Hello readers, I am sorry for long time not updating my blog. It was like since last year December until now. Here come the year 2013 and I am here wishing everyone Happy New Year 2013! May all the best on your success and achievements as well. For myself, this year I am targeting to be better in my studies and also my part time job. :D

Actually this blog post was postponed due to my packed schedule and no time to blog for it. Well, I hope you don't mind to read it now. This was happened during last October which I was having my final exam for the subjects of Malaysian Studies and Morale Studies at college. Hence, my friend has invited me to the study zone and recommend me to be there.

#1 The tea and coffee menu all for only RM5.00

It is Jing-Zi Books & Cafe which located at Beach Street, Penang. We were there for around 4 hours to cope up with our studies after lunch. It is a nice place to have the own revision or group discussion. The environment was pretty cool and the air conditioned big hall makes me feel like staying at a house in China.

That time was the SPM revision period that's why we saw a lot of SPM 2012 candidates busy for their study preparation too. The place is opened to public as well it also attracted some tourists to have a break at there, reading some books and have a chilling moment with some tea.

We were studying at there for almost 4 hours and it is really a good environment to study. You can sit there from the morning until the afternoon and enjoy the tea as well. After tired studying, you can even walk out to the beach street for exercising... I have tried this, you may too... :D Posted by GenYong 05.01.2013

Bukit Jambul Lakeside Town

Penangites, do you heard before Bukit Jambul? Bukit Jambul is located at the district of Bayan Lepas as a zone surrounding with Bayan Baru FTZ area. Bukit Jambul actually is a small hill which full of the bungalows nowadays. On top of the hill still contain of one resort Hotel Equatorial, INTI College, Fairview International School, USM campus and many more. The Bukit Jambul hill is now well developed!

I went there after dropping my friend back to his house at Lakeside Tower. Since I had the camera with me, so I tried to capture down the nice picture from the lake and look for the reflection mode. It was nice and the reflection is really like printed on the surface of water.

It's a lake which contain of fish and some natural phenomenons. It's a good place for those residents to do their exercise like jogging and maybe some recreation activities. The place is yet quiet and you can enjoy the sound of the lake water as well.

Lakeside Towers were built on around year 1994 which was the 1st project by IJM Land at Bukit Jambul. As well the land there is now developed with another 4 high rise towers which called as Park View and also Alpine Tower. The whole project involved 6 towers which facing the view of Sungai Ara and Relau.

The Alpine Tower which is the latest project by IJM Land.

Fairview International School is the most latest spot at there. The building is formerly known as Lake Plaza which developed for the shopping retailing hotspot. I think maybe it's due to the low marketing level and caused the Lake Plaza ended up with no business and turned into an International School.

Yes the Super Condo... Alpine Tower. I like the design and also the colour too! It was the amazing design for the year of 2000-2006 which those building design is not yet that modern. Mc Cafe at Penang International Airport

Mc Donald Malaysia had launched their new business project on coffee which named as Mc Cafe. Mc Cafe is actually founded at the Mc Donald International Headquarter at US which is expanded widely starting from this year. Most of the branded franchising network will first drop by to KL first and spread to nationwide in Malaysia.

Mc Donald had expanded the first Mc Cafe to Penang International Airport. It's a pride for Penangites which can have the chance to try out the brand new coffee from Mc Donald. Now Mc Donald is expanding as variety F&B outlet which served fast foods, drinks, ice creams and now coffee too! Nice one.

Mc Cafe served the great coffee like Coffee Bean and Starbucks too... They provided the Latte series, Cappuccino series, Frappuccino series and many more! The most great one is every coffee pricing is from RM 5.90... it's much cheaper than others! :D

Well, Mc Donald is expanding their business from kids until the all-aged F&B. As I always visit Mc Donald at Penang International Airport, I could see that the most crowded place is Mc Donald. Random Visit to Teluk Kumbar

I got a friend living at Teluk Kumbar, on last semester I used to fetch her home after class. Well, she is my primary school mates and also my local friend too. After dropped her home, I went to Teluk Kumbar seaside to take a look for the beautiful scenery.

I wonder that the little seaside estate was well developed as the modern living housing estate called as Sunway Aspera. The houses at there were directly faced to the sea and in front of that having a service road which can see the seaview and enjoy the sunbath too...

The pretty seaview of Teluk Kumbar. You can view it widely at here. Better advice is come during sunset, because the sun is really bright, perhaps you can snap some photographs of sunset living too! :D

The developer Sunway Properties has planted the conifer plants at the sea side and tends to make it as a little "Gurney Drive". I liked the environment there which you can witness those fishermen how they capture the fish and you can even buy the fresh raw seafood from them. There is also famous for fresh raw prawns!

I snapped myself before I left the beautiful place which near to my hometown. I hope this place is not over developed and the fisherman jetty should maintain and the kampung village should upgrade as well. Mural Arts Wall Painting TShirts

I was sorry for no update for my blog post in those days as I was busy working at Planet Popcorn Gurney Plaza. The tiring but yet happy working experience was really cool, I will share it out in the following blog post. Show you guys some photos out from there too!

#1 Ipoh friends visiting Penang

I think most of the people know that this year there were many mural arts wall painting around the heritage site in Penang. Those artworks were perfectly done by Ernest Zacharevic, the cool artist! I really admire on his effort in those wall paintings and he makes the Georgetown turn alive.

I went to Chew Jetty for supporting my friend for their TShirts. Actually they were making the shirts with the permission from the originate mural arts wall painting artist, Ernest. They are Henry Chew and Kyle Tan who were my Chung Ling schoolmates. They are talented and creative in mind thinking of making a shirt for the tourists to purchase on it... business minded! :D

Here is their business place, it is just right in front of Henry Chew's grandma house at Chew Jetty. They are selling the shirts for RM20 each which attracted a lot of tourists purchased from them. They called themselves as ELANOO as a company and those part of the Tshirts profit will be donated to Children Protection Society.

After purchased the shirts, you can even snap one of the mural arts collection in the Chew Jetty. Besides that there is a little shipyard for small boats to land at there too. It's a good place to snap for beautiful scenery.

In weekends there are a lot of visitors came in the jetty and take a look or maybe snap photos. They are wonder that how come Penang has such kind of special place which the residents can live on the water and there was a lively community there. Besides that, some of them were even offer the resident to start up their boats and offer them a ride around the Esplanade area. It was pretty cool and I was glad to see that Chew Jetty is well maintained!

The young entrepreneurs making their creativity into a business. It's a good job for them and I was proud of my schoolmates have achieve such business level and start to earn money. Actually I did sell Tshirts too, but the respond is not as good as them. Well, there is something else I should learn out from them! So I wish them having a good business and also the good studies as well! :D

Walking out the Chew Jetty, let me think of the view of my kampung at Bayan Lepas. I really hope those kampung houses can be restored in good conditions and hope that teenagers like me love to live in kampung more than in cities. The natural one is always the best! :D Posted by GenYong 23.11.2012

No more guessing! It's Planet Popcorn Gurney Plaza! :D Well, do you guys heard about Planet Popcorn? It's a new trend of popcorns that originated from Taiwan. Now the Planet Popcorn International Franchising Network has expanded to Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and also Malaysia! It was started about a year ago in our country and it was popular in capital city, Kuala Lumpur. After celebrated the 1st anniversary, they planned to extend the business to outstation as well. The 1st one will be at Penang!

I was designed quite a lot of posters for the Planet Popcorn Gurney Plaza before their opening. Guess what?Because it is another store that opened by my boss! The same boss as La Kaffa and Chatime. I was his worker and I played my role on promoting and sharing too. I love design and I try my designing skill on those posters. Not bad right? xD

Designs from Day 19-Day 10

All those posters are done by myself! Flashback for my artworks, I feel so glad and proud of myself! LOL. I know my design ain't good and I am still learning on more advance designing skill. Even myself also can't believe I can make it... Too bad until 10 days counting down the FB Page Planet Popcorn Gurney Plaza was joined into Planet Popcorn Malaysia and I have no more chance to post up my productions there!

It's alright, I still can post on my timeline. Not a big problem! Well, talk back about the Planet Popcorn Gurney Plaza. We are having the opening soon! Penangites do check it out for more details! :D

Chatime Galleria Straits Quay

Chatime is a well known tea company which originated from Taiwan. It was founded on year 2010 start from Kuala Lumpur. The 1st outlet was opened in Pavillion KL by Bryan Loo, the boss of Chatime Malaysia. After 1 year of business and he decided to try out something new:

Chatime Galleria, a new concept store from Chatime Malaysia. It was found in year 2011 and the first Chatime Galleria was in Lot 10, Kuala Lumpur. The 2nd one is at Bandar Puteri Puchong, which full of events and almost every night was crowded of people. Which is the 3rd and 4th one? From the research, the third one is located at Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam and the 4th one was at Straits Quay, Penang.

I made my first time to Chatime Galleria at Straits Quay. It was opened since April 2012, the crowds of people are still maintain and many teenagers use to be so relaxing and chit chatting with their friends while having a cup of Milk Tea or Fruit Tea.

#2 The customers were discussing on what Tea should they have when they are feeling Thirstea! :D

The efficiency of cashier is quite good and it takes me about 5 minutes for my turn to get my drinks although the queue is quite long. It's a good experience! :D

The nice interior design of the outlet. The tea are arranged according to the order and clearly written what kind of tea is that. From the left is Roasted Milk Tea, Milk Tea, Brown Rice Green Tea, Green Tea, Black Tea... Nice arrangement.

I love the backdrop of the outlet. It was written as 日出茶太 which is the original name of Chatime. There are a lot of tables and chairs for the customers. They can either play the card games or discussing some matters on the table together. It's a nice socializing place!

I have bought myself a cup of Mango Green Tea with the toppings of Rainbow Jelly! The large size cost me RM 6.90. It's worth and delicious as the Chatime Malaysia always recommended! :D

The nice working place and I wish I have the chance to work inside this place. The nice interior renovate, nice fridge cover, nice order and nice environment. For customers, it is a good place to relax your mind and play some social games as well.

#3 Chatime Malaysia recommended: Mango Green Tea with Rainbow Jelly.

So what do you think about Chatime Galleria? I found that Chatime Malaysia is really well planning on their business and keep on expanding in this few years. Yeoh Jetty Mooncake Festival Celebrations

Mooncake Festival? This was happened about a month ago. Actually I was joining the mooncake festival celebration with my parents at Yeoh Jetty. Yeoh Jetty is another street or another jetty next to Chew Jetty. It's pretty cool like Chew Jetty but just not well developed or well protected. On 23rd September, the Yeoh Si Association were held a mooncake festival celebration there for the purpose of having fun together with the Yeoh Jetty residents.

The day before the events and it was my birthday... I was accompanied my dad to the town and bought for some lanterns from Wan Lee Brothers which located opposite Prangin Mall. Well, I wondered that nowadays the kids are so happy to have the fancy kind of lanterns for mooncake festival. For my childhood time, I just play the classic one and once it burns, I changed a new one! No hard feeling of lost a fancy lantern! But since I am primary, I seldom play lanterns already! :D

#1 The temple in front of Yeoh Jetty.

It was a surprise, I was appointed to be the MC on that night. I was like shocked and how could I be the MC for this event? But after calming down my mind, I accepted the job and try to conduct the event smoothly. Most of the kids were there and also some of their parents too. Hopefully my voice won't be too bad for them! xD

#2 The organizer had prepared the food and dinner for all the participants.

#3 The lanterns were hanging around the venue to show that the festival atmosphere is there.

#4 The inner look of Yeoh Jetty, quite similar like Chew Jetty, isn't it?

#5 The event was held beside the temple which prepared with the good sound system as well.

#6 We had prepared the lanterns for all the kids as well, not the fancy one but the classic one!

I was hosting the hold event for that night and arranged for the schedule to let the organizer to give the speech and as well to cheer up the audience. It's not easy! Well, I just performed my best and also sang for 2 songs on that night! Epic cool...

#7 All the people started to have their dinner as everyone was hungry at that time.

#8 After dinner, all the kids were taking their respective lanterns to walk around to the Yeoh Jetty with the accompany of their parents.

My 18th Birthday Celebrations

Yeah! Finally I have the chance to blog about my 18th birthday celebrations. It was happened about a month ago (22.09.2012), I am so sorry for delaying those blog post. My 18th Birthday, not a special one but it's meaningful... I don't know why will have the feeling of comfortable once you are celebrating birthday with family. It was so nice and relaxing! :D

#1 We went to Burmah Road to buy some tarts before proceeding for my birthday celebrations/

#2 Here is the place we went! It's Hai Nan Western Food which originated from Mount Erskine, this was their branch that located at Terengganu Road (near Heng Ee High School).

#3 We had ordered ourselves the set dinner and also some snacks like garlic bread with mushroom soup.

#4 I had myself a set of Chicken grilled with sauce. I forgot the name of it but just remember of something like "Paris Style Grilled Chicken".. xD

#5 My dad ordered himself a plate of Grilled Trio set... which contained of Grilled Fish, Grilled Chicken and also Grilled Lamb. I tried... It was nice too!

#6 My sister ordered a plate of Chicken Cordon Bleu. Not bad but just a bit dry.

#7 Yes I am the Birthday boy!

Actually on that night I was surprise there was another team of people celebrating her friends birthday as well in that restaurant. I wished to celebrate together with them but end up I just blow the cake myself with my family. The main reason is because I don't know them well and the feeling of paiseh also! So just holding a cake and snapped photos will do.

#8 Photos with my parents and thanks to them for giving me the opportunities to share the happiness with them in this 18 years and I promised I will be better me in the future.

#9 Photos with my sister and my mum... I am glad to have a cute and caring sister. Although she is younger than me, she knows how to support me in such events and activities too. I have such a good sister and good mum too! :D

After the dinner, since it was Saturday night and we went to Straits Quay for a simple outing. Relax ourselves after a week of working days, and we seldom be there also. That's why we took the chance to visit there again.

#14 Straits Quay is a good place for promotions too. That time was mooncake festival and many booths selling mooncakes and attracted the crowds of people.

#15 When you come to Straits Quay, this is a must visit place! A place for your to enjoy walking with your loved ones, chit chatting out your feeling, enjoying the sea breeze too.

#17 Wow LIKE A BOSS owning The Volkswagen Bettle. My dad has taken the photo for me and it looks like I owned the car... xD!

#19 The engine parts of The Bettle. It was really cool and tidy and really looks different like the normal cars in the market now.

#20 Besides that, there was exhibited the Volkswagen Golf GTI too... It looks bigger and suitable for family. But the price is not affordable for my family yet, maybe when I get the great job in the future, I will consider of buying it... still long time to go. xD!

I was glad to have family with me to celebrate my 18th birthday. I was disappointed couldn't have the chance to celebrate my birthday with my friends but I hope next year I have more friends to celebrate with me. Gertak Sanggul Driving Tour

Hello guys, I am sorry because I was busy in preparation on my exam previously and busy on managing the Facebook page too. I will blog more about that soon! :D So let's review the blog post that I haven't show up here:

Recently, I was interested to spot the sunset and capture for the sea view around Penang. I found that around my home are having a lot of places to capture for nice photos. I was driving to Gertak Sanggul alone after dropping my friend back to Teluk Kumbar after class ends. Well, I was first time driving there and I was like "rusa masuk kampung" and saw a lot of motorbikes around and there was less car compare to the city.

#1 Here is the place, my friend always said here is the end of Penang Island... Yup because there are no road access to anywhere and you can just U turn back.

#2 The place I like because of having the beautiful seaside and the beautiful seaview.

#3 The nice seaview I had ever seen there!

#4 I feel that this is the nice photo taken and I made it as artistic style.

#5 The kids were playing on the spoiled ship.

#6 I love this little jetty, I think this was no longer using but it was like a good place to view the sea and relax your mind. Not bad!

#7 The spoiled ship is hold with the strong and thick string to balance the ship.

#8 Yes I was there myself and try to camwore myself... Funny right? xD

#9 Gertak Sanggul is a small village which near to sea and hill. Inside the village there is a primary school and few kampung houses. The seaside there was so nice and clean!

#10 It was like a forest there and it's good for relaxing your mind.

#11 The only bridge to reach the small village and this bridge is the only way for people to go out to town.

Gertak Sanggul is located after Teluk Kumbar. You will need to travel another 10-15 minutes to reach the small village, and the road was small and less car. Be extra cautious because the road is quite bend! Once you reach there, must check out the seaside there and maybe visit their village. There is something interesting there! Ipoh Friends Visiting Penang

My Ipoh friends were visiting Penang on previous month. If not mistaken, I remembered the date was fall on 13th September 2012 which is a weekday. I was like the tourist guide welcome them to Penang and brought them to somewhere to explore the Georgetown. They were having the sem break on that time and I suggested them to come over Penang. *They are from UTAR Kampar.

#1 This is Poh Ching and Shanice Ng.

I met with them at 1st Avenue and that day I was too excited to meet up them and explored for 3 shopping complex and find them for almost 1 hour. For myself, I am welcome any of my friends to visit Penang as I am willing to be their tour guide too. As if one day, you want to visit Penang, can contact me as well xD.

#2We started off from Cannon Street spotted the mural arts at the corner.

#3 Here we came to the Armenian Street and spotted another mural arts.

For this mural arts, I told them this is made by steel as they not believe and even walk in front and have a touch. They were feeling amazing how come steel also can produce the artistic mural arts. It was awesome right?

We were walking along the Armenian Street. On the way, we saw the Cheah Si Kongsi and beside it is a unique building which full of plants. I was remembered that Axian (local food explorer) was mentioned before this is the cool Coffee Shop. So we checked out for the opening days and the opening hours too.

#4 Here come to the most popular mural arts in Penang! They are Poh Ching and Shanice Ng.

Then we moved on to Ah Quee Street for another mural arts. Penang have a lot of mural arts recently that created by the fantastic artist Ernest Zacharevic. He was so amazing and so creative to turn the Georgetown alive in heritage site. Even though I am a Penangite, this was my first time exploring about the mural arts.

#8 Shanice Ng, she is my friend. We knew each other from Leo Club since year 2010. She was the Leo Club President in SMK Idris Shah Gopeng, Perak if I am not mistaken. :D

#9 Poh Ching, a friendly girl I can say. Not know her very well, knew her through Shanice just before they came to Penang. xD

#10 Yi Ching, a Penang girl who looks familiar and friendly but she never talk a lot.

Hui Min, a Penang girl who study in Singapore now and back to join Yi Ching exploring Penang.

#11 The boys in action now. Wen Xuan, who is the close friend to Shanice Ng and I knew him from her too! Pika, I knew him on that day, sorry ya! :D

Everyone was in action and posing in front of the mural arts! This mural art is spotted by my Ipoh friends and they said it was cool. They even agree with the statement above as most of them are from the course of Foundation in Arts.

They stayed in Penang for 3 days 2 nights. The next day I was working and couldn't join up them for Kek Lok Si and Penang Hill outing but I was glad to join them for supper after my work. Everyone was looked tired after the 2 days outing on that night and it was amazing and nice to have the outing with all my friends! Well, I hope I can meet up them soon maybe in Perak this year end? Farewell with Mr Ngiao

Mr Ngiao was my ETA lecturer in previous semester. I think he was the youngest lecturer I have ever met before in PSDC. Well, he was a good l his lecturer as what he taught to me was so useful and I appreciate the advices that given by him. Now Mr Ngiao is continue his PHD studies in Canada, so we did a small farewell with him before he left Malaysia.

We discussed in last minute and decided to have a simple lunch with Mr Ngiao. On that day we used to meet at Queensbay Mall and choose for suitable restaurant to have lunch. At last, we had chosen the Dave's Deli and had lunch at there for around 8 peoples.

This was my first time having Dave's Deli meal since it opened for many years. I was working at Chatime which located opposite Dave's Deli, but seriously I never tried before. Well, I heard many of my friends said that the food is nice and with the reasonable price. Yup, I have to agree with that and you may take a try if you haven't do so! :D

We did some photo shootings after our lunch. It was so fun to have chance having lunch with a lecturer. That day I was like acting like a boss belanja everyone for lunch but at last they return me the money also! HahaHa. I treated Mr Ngiao as he gonna to leave on that time, he seems to be really glad to see all of us present on that day and shared a lot of moments and stories with us. Thank you, sir!

After lunch, we did some window shopping as walked in a group LIKE A BOSS. Keep on chit chatting and share the happy memories with Mr Ngiao. We did say the goodbye to Mr Ngiao and that was the last goodbye before he went to Canada. :D

I was having some desserts with my friend and previous groupmates Ezra after the lunch. We went to Queens Food Market to taste for this fruit desserts. It taste nice and cost us for RM 5.00 for this bowl. It was nice and I forgot what's the name already but the stall is near to skating park.

It was so random when Ezra trying on my camera. I was calculating money and expenses after the lunch. I was happy on that time because I got my August salaries from my boss on that day too. We did a lot of talking and discussions there! It was a meaningful day spent with my college mates. Thank you everyone! I hope we still have the next chance to hang out together. xD! Taiping-Sitiawan-Ipoh One Day Trip (Part 2)

Well, let's continue from the previous blog post. The beautiful pond is actually artificially made for the pretty view of the temple. It was so nice and really a good place to relax your mind after visiting the temple. I don't know why there will so hot at the area compare to my hometown Penang Island.

My sister and I was standing under the hot sun just to take more photos as we can because that place was extremely nice! If you're in Sitiawan, you should visit there.

Traveled 2 hours of journey and we finally reached Ipoh in the afternoon! Here come too the Ipoh New town. We actually want to pay a visit to Kellie's Castle in Batu Gajah but too bad we couldn't find it and my dad just said next time ba. So after reached Ipoh, we quickly find something for lunch.

#13 We were not having the famous bean sprouts chicken there but we having the famous chicken rice there. When I was working in Ipoh, my boss brought me here to have the lunch before back to Penang. That's why I brought my family here again and it was so delicious!

After lunch, I called my dad drove us to Station 18 which is just a few kilometres away from the Ipoh New Town. I was worked there previously for a week and it was so fun when working at outstation! Click here to read more about my working experience there.

They are my previous colleagues. That time they were still new in La Kaffa, and now they are even better than my skill on making a good coffee! Well done.

Visit my colleague Ah Chyn who is also the present supervisor there. She is the friendly girl and can talk non stop with a really friendly way with you. xD

Around 6 something in the evening we started to leave Ipoh. I was glad to have a family trip like this! I wish there will have more family outing to other places out of Penang. Well, I planned to visit Ipoh and Kampar on this coming November with my friends. Hopefully the plan can be true on that time! So what do you think about the town of Ipoh? Taiping-Sitiawan-Ipoh One Day Trip (Part 1)

Last month, I was so glad to have many celebrations with family. There were my birthday, family trip and many more. I will try my best to blog out soon later. Well, on 1st September 2012 it was a replacement holiday for National Day. I was requested day off on that date and planned an outing with family.

#1 Taiping the Heritage City
We were out from house in the early morning around 5 or 6 something and travelled along the North South Highway to reach Taiping. Actually our destination is to the Seaside Tua Pek Kong Temple at Pasir Panjang, Sitiawan.

#2 Had my breakfast - Dried Koay Teow before we moved on.

It was a long way from Taiping traveled to Sitiawan. It was like a different town from Taiping or Ipoh city. It is located at the district of Manjung which not well developed yet like Ipoh City. We traveled along the estate and on the way there was a lot of trees and forest but there was really few cars. Along the way, I can see the view of kampung.

#3 After the 2 hours journey from Taiping, we finally reached that place!

#4 The statues that set up in front of temple was so huge and cool.

#5 There was a kids fun park inside the temple area too.

#6 Behind the temple there was a place for people to take a rest and maybe buy for something. An advice to you, if you want to buy those Perak popular items, buy it other place because the price at there is a bit expensive.

There were crowded of people inside the temple. As many of them were visitors like us. From my grandma, this temple was founded long time ago by the villagers by the sea and recently there was a Singapore investor getting a good luck from the Tua Pek Kong in this temple and as the rewards back he donated a big amount of money to rebuild and renew the temple and turned it into the another tourist spot at Sitiawan.

UTAR-ians H2O Community Camp

UTAR H2O Community was having their own organized camp in previously. I was taking part on behalf as a task force for the event. I was having semester break on that time that's why my consumer club president invited me to participate on that event.

It was the early morning at Beach Street and since the state government had announced it will be the Car Free Zone on every Sunday from 7am until 5pm so the lively street turn to be no more car on that day. So all the citizens can come out to have fun with family like cycling, playing sports and many more.

#1 Those are the stuffs for our game station in the camp.

#2 My funny expression been captured by my friend John Tan. :D

We were supervising the game station of "Hamster Run" on that morning. The game was played in a group of participants which they have to use the newspaper provided to build up a kit like hamster kit in circle and everyone must be stepping and holding the paper to walk for 1km. It looks easy but when you do it, it was tough. Well, somehow when the game comes to the end we used to let it go for every group although it was not. xD

#3 Some of the participants met up their friends and had a chit chat there.

The same group as well and now they were playing jumping over for a few distance. Same thing, looks easy but seriously it's hard to play.

They played happily in a group and the team spirits were strong. Although it was not that smooth while playing the games, as they will try their best to complete up the mission. Good!

#4 It was CAR FREE Day so you can spot bicycles on the road there!

The sun getting brighter and hot so the organizer decided to end up the game and we then proceed to 1st Avenue for their closing ceremony. It was really hot under the sun and when we stepped in the mall it was like so cool. Nice :D

#6 We went for pool playing while having the free time before the event ends.

#7 He is John Tan who is my groupmates and best friend too. He is nice and friendly responsible guy!

#8 After the pool game, we bought a drink from BlackBall to chill ourselves - Passion3Q Green Tea.

Before we went to dinner at Harbour Place which located at Macallum Street, we did ourselves chilling at the seaside. We went to Jelutong Harbour Place and have a seat chit chat with each other.

#9 Jack Heng and me, he is also a friendly guy who involved in a lot of events too.

#10 My indian friend, Kathiravan. We knew each other since primary school. He is the indian who can speak Chinese language fluently!

#11 My good friend John Tan, knew him since I was in Form 1. He is a good and responsible guy!

So we end up with the dinner and said goodbye to all the UTAR-ians. From this camp, I experienced on how to be a station game supervisor and also how to organize a community event. It was tough to have a good event like this so maybe I need more experiences in upcoming days. Botanical Garden Outing with Family

Penang is a great place, besides having a nice beach in Batu Ferringhi. There are also a few Green Spots for the citizen. One of that is the largest Park in island, which called Botanical Garden. Inside the Botanical Garden there are having a lot species of plants. Citizens usually will spend their weekends evening having a jog or a walk there for being exercise themselves.

#2 The Botanical Garden has been changed a lot. Since the failed project of building the two large gate and now it turned into the beautiful lily pond and attracted a lot of people taking photographs here.

Bon Odori 2012

Bon Odori was held annually with the same venue in Penang. Although it was held for around 10 years I never been there before. This year I was glad to have chance been there with my friend Amanda. When I reached there, I was shocked because of the crowds of people were really packed.

The main stage was set up in the middle of Esplanade field and there were some Japanese cultural performances by the Penang Japanese Society members. Whereas the surrounding compound was full of food stalls, games booths and some artistic stuffs. What I can say it was like a great pasar malam in town!

#1 There was the cultural arts performances presented by the Japanese Society members. I was glad to have chance watching on those performances locally instead of going to Japan. :D

#2 The world mentioned that Japanese people are polite, this one I can agree with. Because as the event ended, they will say "Aligato" (thank you) to all the audiences.

#3 Up next will be the awesome fireworks in the end of event. It last for 10 minutes and everyone was waiting there to witness the fireworks before leave.

#4 The most amazing part of the event should be the fireworks part. I think there was even great than the fireworks while new year countdown! Awesome.

Chung Ling 95th Anniversary Closing Ceremony

Chung Ling High School had celebrated their 95th Anniversary in earlier month of July. The events last for 3 days and each happened in Chung Ling High School, Chung Ling Private and also Chung Ling Butterworth. This event can be consider as a grand event ever since the 90th Anniversary which happened 5 years ago.

Here I came to the event which was the closing ceremony with my dad. It was actually given tickets by my dad's Yeoh Si Association. Hence, both of us were there on that night!

It was a big crowds of Chung Ling alumni. Many of them were traveled from outstation and reached the high school to celebrate the carnival together. Some of them were become a big business man and also some of them were owned their families and brought them together. It was so lively!

#1 I met with my schoolmates Wei Jie who is still continue his studies in Form 6.

#2 I met with scouts too... They were my high school friends and we played together although previously I was not a scout member. Scouts Rocks!

#3 There was a big tent in order to cover up everyone! :D

#4 A big stage for the good performances... It was like turning the Chung Ling High School into concert venue. Cool!

#5 All the VVIPs, Board of Directors, Principals were invited to the stage and cut for the 95th Anniversary Cake.

#6 After the ceremony, the big stage was used to be a concert stage! All the Chung Ling talents were out and some of them even popular until nationwide and international too.

#7 Here come the performances from School Choir, they have a good voice!

#8 Han Jie Lau (13 years old) who from Chung Ling Private High School also performed on stage. He was the popular student PK singer for Astro Stars Quest 2011.

#9 Besides that, Han Jie also performed his talents dance! Michael Jackson and even the moonwalk dances steps! :D

#10 Wan Ying (16 years old) who from Chung Ling Butterworth High School also performed on that night. She's the Hokkien Song International Competition top champion on year 2008. Now she sings more in chinese songs.

#11 Another talented singer from Chung Ling Butterworth but I have forgotten her name.

Actually there were a lot of singers performed on that night, just because of my camera was out of function and I just taken a few to show you guys. Chung Ling really produced a lot of talents!

#12 The very first time our Chief Minister CM Lim Guan Eng appear in Chung Ling High School compound since year 2008. CM was just back from the Debate 2.0 with Dato Chua Soi Lek on that day and immediately present to the event. His appearance make the crowds cheering non stop and it was a surprise!

Well, as the VVIP arrived the host of the event will sure invite CM Lim Guan Eng to go upon the stage and give some speech. However in the school compound, CM was just talking about education and not much about politics. He also praised on Chung Ling High School could ever educated out all the talents that stay around international and also nationwide! It was a great talk by CM and even students also came across and take a photo of him.

I have spotted something when I was taking photos. There was a lot of branded cars like Peugeot, WellFire, Mercedes, BMW and many more in front of the Chung Ling High School building! Some even have the driver take care of it, really cool!

So everything ended up with laughter and smile and also the cheer. As well, waiting for the next 5 years for the really grand event 100th Anniversary. Year 2017, I will be back and celebrate the 100th Anniversary together with all Chung Ling alumni! Posted by GenYong 25.09.2012

Georgetown Festival 2012 (Part 2)

Continue from the previous post, after the opening ceremony by Penang State Chief Minister CM Lim Guan Eng there were more and more people joined into the crowds and make the quiet street turned to be even lively. Let's see those photos below:

The street was starting to be crowded as you can see even the foreign tourist also came over and have a look on it. The booth were ready to show off what they have and serve the best to visitors.

Besides chinese culture arts, there was some malay and indian cultures also. Together we showed our love to our heritage town. They performed some malay tradition dances and also perform the kompang beating. It was really fun!

Our CM Lim Guan Eng was visited each booth and taste for their food also. I was glad to have the chance shake hand with him.

A visit to the heritage house which is also the base for the first China man who landed in Penang. In this house, we were guide by the organizer and he explained everything to us. At night there was a team of orchestra performed on the music too.

Georgetown Festival 2012 (Part 1)

Georgetown Festival is an annual event for Penang since year 2008. 7th of July is also declared as a public holiday for Penang States by the State Government. As well for this day, in Georgetown the Heritage Site will be having a series of events celebrating the UNESCO awarding Georgetown as one of the World Heritage Sites.

There a lot of booths setting up for the festival along the Rope Walk Street. It was the 2nd year having such event at this street. I still remember last year I was there and I did write up for this festival too.

#1 There were some booth selling the artistic items and attracted the visitors.

#2 There were a Penang famous artist who was busy illustrating portraits.

#3 There was a crowd in front of Chong Tian Heritage Hotel. Chong Tian Hotel also provided buffet to visitors with just only RM 28.00

There a lot of things to explore actually, this festival also attracted many photographers to capture for the cultural photos shooting. It turned the silent street became alive, Georgetown is alive! :D

#5 I was there as a volunteer to help out with my dad for Yeoh Si Association.

The people there were exciting to welcome the Penang Chief Minister YAB Lim Guan Eng. Those artistic performers also dressed up with the traditional chinese culture costume to welcome the VIPs.

#11 CM Lim was friendly to citizens, he keep on shaking hands with people.

#13 It was a sudden crowd and many people was glad to see CM came.

Chung Ling 95th Anniversary Carnival

Sorry for the late updates, Chung Ling High School was celebrating it's 95th Anniversary on the month of July which fall on the same date with Georgetown Festival. That day the Penang Island was full of events and caused traffic jams too.

When I stepped into Chung Ling High School compound, I was get invited by my previous teacher Mr Lye to visit the Robotic Lab. Robotic Lab in Chung Ling was located next to class 5SB4 which was my class last year. Well, I just check it out for around 10 minutes inside!

I was proud and glad to see that Chung Ling High School had improved a lot on their hardware and also the soft skill in educations. Now being a Chung Ling student, you're internationally recognized because in Chung Ling High School, you can learn a lot of stuffs! Not only study, you can learn something interesting from clubs and societies too.

In this Chung Ling Carnival, there were having food fair too. This was the first food fair I ever seen in Chung Ling. But it was too bad I have graduated and no chance to involve in it. Well, it's a good starting to have food fair in my school.

Besides food fair, there was a lot of performances that presented by Chung Ling Private High School students. I like their performances very much and there was a lot of supporters under the stage. Those guests were enjoying their food while watching the performances. There were having LIVE Band, Sing, Drum Performances, Dances and many more. Seriously, Chung Ling Got Talents! Good! :D
