To here: Vegas baby!

Yes, we are moving.. again.. From New York to Las Vegas. Husband got a job there with the offer we can't refuse. Its been an exciting time living here in NY, I met new fantastic friends. I enjoyed strolling around the beautiful and interesting place. But life must go on. While we enjoy NY's variety and zest for life, the colorful and adventurous way of living and it reminds me so much of the Philippines. We want a less busier life, where we can sit back and relax and enjoy life as it is. QUALITY OF LIFE. Not that we don't enjoy it in NY, but life here is so fast-paced that sometimes you forget what you live for. Everywhere and everyone here seems to be such in a hurry, going where?? IDK. But we miss hiking in the mountain, enjoying nature. A less crowded place. One of the reason also is the weather. 5 months out of a year, weather is too cold for an asian woman like me. While in summer it gets too humid. Sticky and sweaty..

That's why we decided to accept the job offer in Vegas and move again. The weather is going to be like in AZ. Yes, summer is really hot, but its dry heat. You never get sweaty and sticky. 9 months out of a year, you get to just walk around without spending time bundling clothes. The rent of the house, is 1/3 less of what we pay now for 3x bigger in size. We can finally have our own huge backyard where Liam and Eryn can run around and not having to worry about ppl downstairs. And most of all, my husband doesn't have to commute 1hr and half to get to work. Subway and bus can be a pain in the a**...

The strip is only 20mins away home. But, far enough to be quiet where you can sit in the backyard, enjoy watching the sunset over the mountains..

Liam turns one!

Where did the time go? Bottom line is - you wanted to end your listing.

How to do this?
-If there are more than 12 hours before the end of the listing, you can end your listing early. If there are any bids on your item, you can end the listing or you can sell the item to the high bidder.

If there are 12 hours or less before the end of the listing and there are bids on your item, you can’t end the listing early. However, you may cancel bids or sell the item to the high bidder.

To end your listing early:

1. Type your item number into the End My Listing Early form. (The item number is shown on your listing, confirmation email, and My eBay page.)
2. If there are bids on your item, select either “Cancel bids and end listing early” or “Sell item to high bidder.” If your item has no bids, you can skip this step.
3. Select the reason you're ending your listing early.
4. Your listing will end and will no longer be active on eBay. Bidders who did not win the listing receive an email that their bid was canceled and that the listing ended early.

How does seller cancel bid on ebay after action has ended

Situation: I sold some maternity and baby clothes that we don't wear anymore, I was very specific in my listing that I dont ship internationally, because I can't use tracking on international shipments (or without a large fee) and as a seller I am not protected by Paypal's seller protection policy. But there are some people who just don't read or doesn't care at all..

How to resolve this?
(1) To receive a credit on your final value fee, you'll need the buyer/bidder to agree to cancel the transaction. Contact your buyer and ask the buyer to agree to cancel the transaction. After this done you can send you the buyer the cancellation request.

Here are the steps to send a cancel-order-request:
- Go to My eBay.
- Click Sold.
- Next to your listing, select Resolve a problem from the drop-down menu.
- The Resolution Center – Resolve a problem form appears.
- Select I sold an item and want to cancel the transaction and click Continue.
- Sign in to your account. The Cancel a transaction form appears.
- If you get to the Resolution Center from your item listing, your item number is already filled in.
- Under Give the buyer a reason for wanting to cancel this transaction, indicate your reason for canceling and then click Continue. (you can choose the reason: the buyer requested shipment to a country a don't ship to)

(2) You also mentioned how to block such international buyers and yes you can do this for all your listings. Here are the steps:

- Go to my eBay and click the "Account" tab on the top.
- Click "Site Preference"
- Under "Shipping preferences", find "Exclude shipping locations from your listings" and then click "edit".
- Now you are able to select all the countries that you don't want to ship to (which means buyers from these selected countries won't be able to bid on your item).
Finally, remember to tick the box "Apply to all current live listings" ,and click Apply.

Job done! Hope this helps.

Konad Nail Stamping

Now that my 6 month old baby is taking a nap in sync with his big sister, I have a small time for myself. I have been neglecting my nails for a while. No nail polish, no buffing. I cant have it long because then I wont be able to play tickle with my babies. Then at the beginning of this month, I started paying more attention to it. Put on nail polish with designs on it. As I was searching online for simple begginers nail art, I came across nail stamping. I watched it on youtube and Oh my! I was smitten!

I found them on ebay and I was not happy. Being a stay at home mom for a while, with only my husband working and 2 babies to take care of, we are budgeting everything. These Konad Stamping Nail Art are expensive for me. You have to get the plates with the design, the stamp and scraper, plus the special nail polish you have to use with it, I was disheartened. For a week, I try to look online of where I can find a cheaper version but ebay has the better deal. I finally found one that I bid lesser than the rest and won!

Of course I had to tell my bff in Chicago about it and she was smitten as well.. You can find a lot of tutorials in youtube. For now, I am using the regular nail polish, and they work Ok, but not as clear as the Konad special nail polish that is used specially for stamping, they are thicker and more pigmented so the designs are a lot clearer.

I found a lesser expensive version of the plates in amazon. With 21 plates for $18. Didnt get it - yet.. But eventually would next month. Anyway, herre are the samples of them designs.

This here used with Konad m56 (ribbon) and m4(kiss me) plates
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/__5Yd8_TCKzU/TKOqVN1oONI/AAAAAAAADTQ/LibnwZt5jGM/s320/nails.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522444849554929874" />

Konad m65 for the retro black and m35 for the hearts..
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/__5Yd8_TCKzU/TKOtRCxsyzI/AAAAAAAADTY/S6i6TwDEsvs/s320/IMG_5092.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522448076401068850" />

1st Summer in NYC

Wow, it been a while since i posted something here. I have been sooo busy without mama to help me out. This is the time when i wish i have more than 2 hands. So little time so many things to do. Who would have thought we've been here in NY for 8 months now.

Liam is now 5 months and Eryn almost 20 months. I keep asking myself, where did the time go? It feels like I just gave birth and now, Liam is starting to crawl and Eryn is climbing everywhere and running around and doesn't get tired.

Life has been good in NY so far. Summer here is not as hot as in AZ, but there are days when its very humid and temp is high. It feels sticky and sweat trickling down all over my body. Yucky! It feels more like 110 on 90F with 90% humidity. Can't wait for Autumn where leaves are orange and weather is cooler.

Here are latest pics of my babies:
Time flies sooo fast. It seems that she was just here 3 months ago and now its time to say byebye. I am so thankful with all the time that she is here. I can sleep late, she cooks all the time and theres always another extra hand when I need them. Its difficult to have 2 babies under 2yo. Eryn is 18 months and Liam 3 months. I dont know how I will be able to make it without her here. It'll be tough. We dont know when we will see her again. Hopefully soon..

Mother's Prayer

♥ Being a full time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs... since the payment is pure love ♥ Dedicated to the 2 angels in my life...♥

<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:subtitle>♥ Being a full time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs... since the payment is pure love ♥ Dedicated to the 2 angels in my life...♥ </itunes:subtitle><itunes:author>Gerthy</itunes:author><itunes:summary>♥ Being a full time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs... since the payment is pure love ♥ Dedicated to the 2 angels in my life...♥ </itunes:summary>

<feedburner:origEnclosureLink>http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p=addc6ca4d347ed644e4828&skin_id=801&utm_source=otm&utm_medium=text_url</feedburner:origEnclosureLink>

Birth Announcement

Here is our son's birth Announcement:

<img style="display:block; Anyway, this month brought us pleasant surprises. I knew that Liam will be born early but I didnt expect him to arrive too early. One month early!

I am due Apr 5th with our second baby and knowing what to expect, I prepared and planned everything. Even mama's arrival. We asked her to come here, 3wks before my due date to make sure that someone will take care of Eryn when I gave birth. But boy oh boy. Liam arrived quite too early...

March 9th - I woke up at 5am with contractions every 10 mins, I felt the familiar pain but it was still tolerable. It was like that until 8am. I was walking around most of the time to ease whatever little pain I felt. My husband asked I want him to stay and see how my contractions progress and I said yes. Told him to go work by 10am if everything is still the same. My husband posted it in his facebook wall and we got calls that morning. Friends from Az checking on us. I was still talking to my friend Donalyn by 10am laughing. around 10:30, i felt the contractions getting closer and getting stronger. I told my husband to bring me to the hospital and on the way there, I was already screaming in pain. My water bag broke when we were only 5 mins away from hospital. I was rushed to Delivery room when I told the nurse that I am contracting between 3-5mins and my water bag broke and that this is my 2nd pregnancy, with normal delivery on my first baby. That was all the info nurses need. when they checked me, they could already see Liam's head. My OB is only 5mins from hospital so she arrived on time. I asked for epidural but it was all too late. Everybody told me to just give one big push and he is out. and thats all I did. after 3 pushes, Liam came out 5lbs 14ounces and 18inches long.

Twas the most painful experience Ive ever had. No epidural giving birth and no anesthesia when they stitch me. I felt every poke of the needle and in the middle of it, I swear to my husband not to have another baby again. Even until now I still can't believe I gave birth that fast. But Im glad its over.

Forward, 2 and half weeks later, I am happy how Liam is healthy. He is sleeping most of the day and awake at night like most of the babies. He knows how to latch so breastfeeding him is easier than with Eryn. He looks like my husband. Everybody says Eryn is my Jr while Liam is Tim Jr.

I never felt so complete in my life. Having a loving, supportive and responsible husband; a smart, beautiful daughter and now a healthy, adorable newborn son. We have finally moved to our new home in Queens, NY... My husband got a job offer to work here and we finalize our decision until that week of Thanksgiving.. We started packing first week of December and started our 6 days 5 night road trip Jan. 3rd.

Weve only been here in our new house for a week and since I am not used to a cold weather, this is something new for me to adjust. It was one of the biggest decision I have to make but it is for a good reason. We have to give up a lot! Our house, our friends and family and just being out of the comfort zone.

Arizona have been my home for 4yrs and it wasn't easy for me to decide to leave. I have to look for new set of friends, have to get a new driver's license and learn how to drive here, have to learn the streets and my way going to where I want to be. I have been driving in Az for 3 and half yrs and I can drive anywhere in the East Valley without getting lost. I don't have any GPS because I am very familiar with the place. But now, I have to do that all over again. Plus, I have to learn how to parallel park! LOL :)

The most difficult adjustment would be looking for new friends and making sure you are comfortable with them. My friends back in Az were great, all of us got along very well, even if we speak different languages and most of them have been my friends for almost 4yrs. They have been our family. When I got pregnant and give birth to Eryn, all of them were there. these days, its hard to find someone you can trust and who can relate to what you are going through specially you are from a different country. But like what I mentioned before, it was all for a good reason.

I just hope that in my next chapter of journey, I would find friends like what I have in AZ. I just thought of it as when I first move out here in US 4yrs ago.

Its a BOY!

Yesterday was a really special day not only because its me and my husbands 5th anniversary, we also had our ultrasound and found out that we are having a boy! My husband has tears in his eyes when he found out about it. We had been hoping for a boy since we already had a girl. We were also set with having 2 kids wether its a boy or not. But God grant us our wishes. Although we keep on praying that what matters most is that the health of the baby is the top of our concern, the gender is just the icing of the cake. We couldn't be happier.

We already had a name - LIAM! We had picked that name the moment I found out with Eryn last year. If Eryn had been a boy, she would have been Liam. But I am just happy that Ate Eryn came first and now baby Liam is coming...

H1N1 and Seasonal Flu Shot

I was one of the lucky ones who got the h1n1 shot today at my OB gyne's ofc. There's only 3 left and they dont know when they will have another supply of it. Next week, I will have my seasonal flu shot as well.

My daughter got her 2nd dose of seasonal flu shot since they really don't give babies whole dosage of flu shot. She had first half last month and the other half today.

I also have some blood drawn for AFP screening, its just some type of test if the baby is doing fine. My husband went to Sonora Lab and had his blood drawn as well, its for his kidney test.

Our health is our number one priority, specially now that I'm pregnant and we have a baby under 12 months.

So, today all members of the family got poked :)

Mountain of Laundry

Since I found out I'm preggo, I have been soo exhausted. All i wanted to do is sleep, but with a crawling and teething baby, I could barely close my eyes. Even if everything around the house has been child-proof, there are things you have foreseen and until your little boo-boo played with it, you'll never know. Like 3 weeks ago when she started playing with the door stopper, for me its something harmless. But when i saw the tip part rubber of it in her mouth, i took all door stoppers in the house.

Then there's things to do around the house that I have been neglecting for weeks. Our laundry put a voodoo spell on me! At first,it was just getting my attention silently. Then they call my name.Last wk,they were begging.Over the wkend, they scream for wash. When nothing else works, they cast a spell on me. Now,wherever i go,I see and hear them. They even hunt me in my dreams. So,I give in.. They get what they want.I can hear them in the washer saying..Ahh..

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/__5Yd8_TCKzU/Ss5oz7CQo_I/AAAAAAAADM0/FcLTaHLIyZM/s320/laundry.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390361045238850546" />

Facebook Farm Town

No, I haven't subscribed to it! That's his/her size this week. Like a kidney bean! 8 weeks and my morning sickness is in full swing!

The staff of my OB even teased me, and they knew right away the moment I entered the clinic. One of them even said "no way! that soon?" I smiled and said, that's what I'm here for. They're happy to see me again. It wasn't long ago when I saw those familiar faces.

They were all excited to see Eryn, and even my OB can't believe how big she is now, when just a yr ago, we were both just listening to her heartbeat in my tummy.

Hopefully, this time will be as smooth as when I had Eryn...

Baby #2

Yup! I just found out im preggo again. Haven't been to my OB yet, but if I based it on the first day of my last period, I am 7wks on the way now. Due date is April 5, 2010.. I even teased my husband that he got me pregnant again just as I got slim. I never diet and exercise because I always think that we want to have another baby anyway, and I'll just wait until I give birth and do the 'hard work'. But my pre-pregnancy weight came back 6 months after I gave birth to Eryn, without doing anything :) Maybe I just got lucky..

Still the agony of first trimester strikes me even worse this time. My morning sickness is very unpredictable and hits me anytime of the day. Compared to my pregnancy with Eryn, its always 3pm onwards. My tummy got big faster this time. Its only 7wks but my tummy looks like when I was 3 months with Eryn. Well, they always say that you will always look bigger in the 2nd pregnancy. Your body has been to the expansion before and its easier now to expand more.

I just hope and pray that this pregnancy will go on smoothly like my first. After this, we are done! So Done! I told my husband I don't mind having 5-6 kids but I just don't want to go through the whole pregnancy process again, specially the first trimester.

Morning sickness, tiredness, nausea, 24-48hrs migraine, very very very sharp sense of smell. All I want to do is lay down in the couch all the time. I also try to avoid the kitchen as much as I can. Its the smell, not that its stinky, but the spices, the smell of food. Garlic, onion, meat Ugh! Can't stand it!I got sick at any smell. Even the smoke that comes out when cooking rice.

I cant wait till October, 2nd trimester a.k.a. the vacation of pregnancy. Im soo not looking forward to the 3rd trimester, all the sleepless night and backaches. Overall, I just don't like being pregnant. But when I think of the outcome, another blessing on the way... It gets me through the day...

<media:rating>nonadult</media:rating>
Gerthy
