1.  Fill a tea cup with water, then add one spoon of flaxseed and one tablespoon of cut dried varied fruit.

2. Let it rest in the refrigerator for about 7 to 9 hours.

3. In a large cereal bowl, mix whole wheat cereals with one teaspoon of non-flavored pysillium fiber (such as Metamucil) do not pour in the liquids yet. You may combine different kinds in one bowl use your hands to mix.

Natural Insect Repellent Safety

There are a few dissimilar formulations you can make for your natural insect repellent. These repellents involve diluting essential oils that the insects find repugnant or which confuses them. The oils don’t mix with water, so you’ll need to add them to other oils or to alcohol. It’s significant to use an oil or alcohol that is safe for your skin. Also, don’t go overboard with the necessary oils. The oils are potent and could cause skin irritation or another reaction if you use too much. If you are pregnant or nursing, do not apply an insect repellent, natural or else, until after you’ve gotten it cleared by your physician.

Natural Insect Repellent Ingredients

Different insects are repelled by dissimilar chemicals, so you’ll get a more effective repellent if you combine a few different insect-repelling natural oils. If you are making large amounts of insect repellent, a good rule of thumb is to mix the disgusting so it’s 5-10% essential oil, so mix 1 part essential oil with 10-20 parts carrier oil or alcohol for a smaller batch use:

• 10-25 drops (total) of necessary oils

Secure carrier oils and alcohols include:

• Olive oil
• Sunflower oil
• any other cooking oil
• Witch hazel
• Vodka

Natural Insect Repellent Recipe

Mix the essential oil with the carrier oil or alcohol rub or spray the natural insect repellent onto skin or clothing, using care to avoid the sensitive eye area. You’ll need to re-apply the natural product after about an hour or after swimming or work out. Unused natural insect disgusting may be stored in a dark bottle, away from heat or sunlight. If you wish, you may combine the oil with aloe vera gel to change the constancy of the product.

1. Take a look at your summer interpretation list. While reading the list, keep a look out for the following:

• Required reading: These are books that must be read by everyone in the class, so you’ll almost certainly be tested on them or asked to write about them soon after starting the school year. Try to get these books over with first.
• Books you’re by now familiar with, but haven’t read: You probably know about these books because they someone mentioned them to you or you read about them anywhere. Keep these books (and what was said about them) in mind if you are given any option over what to read.
• Genres you like: Some reading lists are alienated by genre, so if you’re a mystery maven or a science fiction buff, you may find a book that appeal to you.

2. Research the books to know what to wait for and find out if you actually want to read them. There are many ways to do this:

• Ask your friends or family. Many summer reading lists comprise classics or books that are already popular. In most cases, it is highly likely that you know someone who has read some of the books on your summer reading list. You may want to make sure that the person you ask shares your taste in text.
• Research your book on the web there are many websites out there that are dedicated to books. Amazon is a good place to start to get a universal plot description, reviews by other readers and other useful information like page count. Then, there are book recommendation sites like Shelfari and Good Reads and applications like iRead for Facebook and MySpace which allow you to see what your friends are reading and ask other readers if they advocate a particular book.

3. Get the book. You will want to do this as soon as likely. If you are relying on local book stores and libraries for your summer reading lists, it’s improved to start early as summer reading titles for local schools are usually in high demand. If you do not drive and are needy on someone else for a ride to the bookstore or library, start asking for a ride early since someone may not always be around to drive you. If you want to order books online, make sure that you have a credit card or know an important person (usually a parent or guardian) who is willing to order the books for you.

4.  Decide how much time you have to read, by estimate how much time there is before school starts, how much free time you have each day and how much you have to read. You may want to make up a schedule (such as an hour a day) or set sure goals (such as a chapter a day) for yourself. Some people find it helpful to divide the number of page they have to read by the number of days they have to read them, so they know how much they have to read each day.

5. Consider your own personal reading style can you think if there is noise around or while you’re listening to music? What if there are other people, such as your friends, around? Do you need lots of light or do you find bright light distracting? Which times are you most attentive or most likely to fall asleep?

6. Choose where you want to read some likely options include: your room, other rooms in the house, outside, a local coffee shop or your local library. Some people even like to read while itinerant in the car or while bathing.

Amaryllis

These bulbs are prized for their willingness to create large and colorful blooms indoors in the fall (South African Amaryllis) or in the dead of winter (Dutch Amaryllis). In Zones 9 and 10, they can also be planted outdoors in full sun and well-drained soil, with the shoulder of the bulbs 1in above the soil. Bulbs planted in the ground usually bloom in late spring or early summer. What follows are instructions for forcing Amaryllis for bloom indoors.

Amaryllis shipped in bags requires potting. Pot bulbs individually in 6-7in pots or group 3 bulbs together in a 10-12in container. Begin by placing a well-drained potting mix in a plastic tub. Slowly add temperate water and stir with your hand until the mix is moist but not soggy. Then fill the pot about half full with potting mix, set the bulb on top of the mix and fill in approximately the bulb with additional mix. Adjust the position of the bulb as needed, so that the top third of the bulb is bare. The final level of the mix should be about 1/2in below the rim of the pot to allow for watering. Firm the mix and water frivolously to resolve it around the bulbs. Then go after the “Pre-bloom Care” instructions below.

Amaryllis sent already potted need only a methodical watering with lukewarm water to begin growing. Then follow the “Pre-bloom Care” instructions below.

Please note: Pre-potted Amaryllis are shipped with a layer of ornamental Spanish moss on top of each pot. Cut the rubber band that holds the Spanish moss in place and arrange the moss approximately the bulb so it looks attractive.

Place the pot where the temperature leftovers above 60°F. The warmer the temperature (70-80°F night and day is ideal), the faster the bulb will sprout and grow. Providing bottom heat (by setting the pot on a propagation mat or on the top of a refrigerator) may help rouse growth. Water only when the top inch of the potting mix is dry to the touch. Watering more frequently, particularly just after potting, can cause the bulb to rot.

Growth generally begin in 2-8 weeks. Sure varieties of Amaryllis may take more time to sprout. As long as your bulb remains firm, be patient and take care not to overwater. Provide ample sunshine (a south-facing window or a sunroom) as soon as the bulb sprouts. Rotate the pot often to prevent the flower stalks from leaning toward the light. After flowering, your bulb is tired. If you want flowers next year (many people prefer just to purchase new bulbs every fall), you must allow it to rebuild itself. After the last bloom fades, cut off the flower stalk 3-5 inches on top of the bulb, BUT DO NOT CUT THE LEAVES OFF. THEY PRODUCE FOOD THAT WILL BE STORED IN THE BULB. Put your plant in a sunny window (a south-facing one is best), water when the top inch of the potting mix is dry to the touch, and begin fertilizing with a fair, water-soluble fertilizer once a month. When the hazard of frost has passed in spring, set the pot outdoors in full sun or knock the bulb out of its pot and plant it in the ground in a sunny location. In fall — we often wait until frost blackens the leaves — bring the bulb indoors, cut the foliage off just above the bulb, and store it dry in a cool (55°F), dark place such as a cellar for 8-10 weeks. Then pot (or repot) the bulb and water it. Thereafter, keep the potting mix almost dry until new enlargement emerges, and follow the instructions under “Pre-bloom Care.”

Amaryllis make a stunning show if you cut their flower stems and place them in a sturdy vase. The best time to cut the flower stems is when the first bud has colored and is just ready to open. This will ensure that the rest of the buds on the same stem have formed sufficiently and will open fully. Make a straight cut across the bottom of the stem, so the stem will rest evenly inside the vase. Because the stems are hollow, the bottom may split and curl up, but this will not affect the blooms. Adding a floral preservative to the water and changing the water frequently will help prevent stem rolling and lengthen the life of your bouquet. Remove individual flowers as they fade. If kept at temperatures of 60-70°F, your cut Amaryllis flowers will last for up to 10 days.

These large bulbs will grow happily and bloom in abundance in nothing more than stones and water. To “plant” your bulb, begin by carefully placing river stones or pebbles to a depth of about 4 inches in our Hurricane Vase or Bulb Vase or your own obvious glass planter. With scissors, trim off any roots on the bulb that are brown and dried*, but let the roots that are whitish and fleshy stay. Place the Amaryllis bulb, roots down, on top of the stones, then put the remaining stones around the bulb, leaving the top third of the bulb bare. Finally, add water awaiting the level reaches about 1in below the base of the bulb but no higher.

Miley Cyrus is recording a song with her ex-boyfriend the ‘Hannah Montana‘ star has teamed up with Jonas Brothers star Nick Jonas to record ‘Pass It On’ - the first time they have worked jointly since their December 2007 split.

The star-studded Disney single will be record later this week, with Nick’s brothers Kevin and Joe also likely to appear. Miley has insisted that in spite of reports to the contrary, she is still close to Nick - who recently broke up with Selena Gomez - and his brothers.

He’s really cool and I’m content we’ve been able to continue friends. “Everyone thinks that me and the Jonas Brothers have this big feud going on but me and Nick are actually close friends now we talk all the time.”

Charlotte Church ordered Gavin Henson to move out after a angry row.

Charlie Sheen’s twin son Max is still in the hospital following his March 14 birth, his rep Stan Rosenfield said Thursday.

Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller gave birth to twin sons Bob and Max last month, but Max remain in the hospital because he has yet to reach a weight that will allow him to leave a hospital, according to a report in Us magazine.

“Max is expected to reach the weight prerequisite shortly and will join his brother [Bob] at home,” Rosenfield said in a statement. “The Sheens be grateful for the outpouring of concern but have assured everyone that both Bob and Max are fine.

“The weight issue is very ordinary among infants who were born before reaching full term,” Sheen added in a statement to Us.

The statement corrected previous reports that Max was suffering from a heart condition.

Madonna

But Judge Esme Chombo discarded the Madonna’s case because the 50-year-old star has not lived in Malawi for 18 months, as is required by law.  The residency rule was waived when Madonna adopted David, now three, from the country in 2006, and it is not obvious why Judge Chombo ruled in a different way.

A Malawian official previously hinted the judge had by now told the star she would be granted custody. Madonna is expected to appeal the ruling to Malawi’s Supreme Court. In papers lodged at the court on Monday (30.03.09), Madonna promise to love Mercy - whose real name is Chifundo - like she was her own daughter.

She said: “I am able and willing to firmly provide for Chifundo James and make her a permanent and established member of my family.  “To deny Chifundo James the chance to be adopted by me could expose her to hardship and moving trauma which is otherwise avoidable.” Malawi’s child welfare minister also publicly authorized Madonna’s adoption application.

She said: “We have close to two million orphans in Malawi who need assist. We can’t look after all of them as a country. If people like Madonna adopt even one such orphan, it’s one mouth less we have to feed.”  Madonna at home in Malawi on Sunday (29.03.09) with her children Lourdes, 12, Rocco, eight, and David.

She had been expecting to fly her family - counting her new daughter - to her home in London, where staff have been preparing for the new arrival for months.

The arrest came nine days after Taliver tried to enter Foxx’s hotel room in Philadelphia, where the actor was filming his forthcoming movie Law Abiding Citizen.

Taliver entered the AKA Hotel in Rittenhouse Square on March 22 and it was there that Taliver tricked Foxx into thinking he was a manufacturer for singer Beyonce Knowles.  After realizing something was wrong and he didn’t know Taliver, Foxx proceeded to keep the man from toward the inside his room as Taliver tried to force his way in.

The actors eventually overpowered Taliver and slam the door in the intruder’s face. Taliver fled the scene afterwards.  Authorities caught Taliver after Foxx’ private security dotted him just a few blocks away from the hotel and called police.

Despite reports of the alleged event taking place at the AKA, a spokeswoman for the hotel said she had no record of a guest with the name Jamie Foxx staying at the hotel.  News reports that police in Philadelphia confirmed that a trespass incident did occur March 22 at the AKA Hotel, but would not reveal whether Foxx was the victim of an attempt burglary.  “There was an arrest,” a police spokesman said. “There was an incident. Someone was in an area they weren’t supposed to be…inside the hotel.”   The March 22 incident isn’t the first time Taliver has try to see Foxx. Sources told Philadelphia’s CBS 3 that Taliver tied to break into Foxx’ room three times last month on March 22, 27 and 31.

Taliver, who lists a homeless shelter as his address, is listed to appear in court in June to answer for a receiving stolen property charge related to a 2006 car theft.  A envoy for Foxx refused to comment when asked about the incident.
