J'aimerais personnaliser ces lignes pour n'appeler que l'extrafield dont l'ID est 11 et je n'ai pas assez de conaissance PHP pour le faire moi-même. Quelqu'un connait que l'astuce ? Merci d'avance...

I haven't seen whether or not K2 has an adjustable user login component in that I want to allow me to add extra fields to the registration process.

If K2 cannot do this, does anyone have experience with adding fields or can recommend a good component? I had thought about Jomsocial but not sure I need all of that to add a few extra fields. I also own licensing to mighty extensions but they do not plan on being compatible with the current version of Joomla (2.5) until after Joomla 3 is released this summer.

I even tried to use the exact code of the item.php in the category_items.php file and it doesnt work at all... I get the same errors as before...

Thanks so much for sharing and I'm sorry I haven't been on this forum for a long time. Looks like you got it to work very nicely. I just tested it. I will submit a ticket on your web site with some suggestions.

On a side note, in order to get my work going, I ended up using JQuery (as suggested by another member here) inside K2 custom HTML tool to copy the related items and then null the related items on the page. Works perfectly.

I managed to remove all the tags using Categories -> Parameters.
Still on my page i can still see the word "all" where tags used to be. As I follow the code I can see that it belongs to

tuve ese problema hace poco, resulto ser que un modulo estaba haciendo "corto circuito" con k2 desconozco el porque...

el modulo en cuestion es el del clima de gavick, lo instale, publique y note el cambio cuando ponia algun link en facebook, lo desinstale y listo, todo normal.

igual te paso algo similar con algun modulo o componente

Hi all,
i have problems in accessing media folder from images button in k2 article creation from frontend:
when i click on it, i see a white page with the indication "unable to access resource"
i have analyzed permissions in k2 backend settings and they're all ok...
any suggestion???
i need that the publisher can load, from frontend, images in media folder...and then the images will be used to insert in an article...
please need help!

Hello,
I've noticed that when adding a new item in frontend, it doesn't take the default current date, instead it puts as default Novembre 1999 00:00, so I have to set up the date every time. In the backend it works good.
I have searched for this problem but didn't find anything on the internet.
So..does anyone have any suggestions what could be the problem?

After further reading I see where the plg definitions were copied into the K2.ini file. I have the language definitions but they are not read by the system so I copied the contents of the user extended fields .ini file into the K2.ini and it now works ok.

Okay.. here is my update:

1. I switched the default folder for the Joomla media manager to the media folder.
- It appears that when I had it defaulting in the images folder, K2 would MOVE the files to the media folder. So syncing up what K2 wanted with Joomla, no more issues
2. All attachments, pictures, videos all work now
3. THIS IS WITH A SUBDOMAIN so I am NOT sure how it is supposed to work on the parent domain...
4. I am using Joomla 2.5 and K2 2.5.4

I'm definitely new to K2 and I've spent several days trying to wrap my head around all the options before jumping in here. I've got a number of things I'm trying to accomplish so I'm finally going to ask for some help.

I'm trying to recreate an existing magazine/newsletter style site. I have categories for each issue and then items for the articles within the issue.

Now I need a page that shows the latest issues with article titles for each issue. In simple terms I'm looking for this data structure:

Category 1 Title
description
* item 1 Title
* item 2 Title

Category 2 Title
description
* item 1 Title
* item 2 Title

etc...

I've seen if I create a link to a parent category, then I can display all of the sub-categories, but I can't figure out how to display the article titles for those sub-categories.

Would this be a template override or are there options in the category display that I'm missing?

any help or pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

oh, that is a painfull moment. I've spent three months, looking for a developer, who can do this for me. I;ve contacted Zoo and K2 teams, they are too busy to do so. The others are happily accept the challenge but once they get the description of a component requirements, they are disappearing in the darkness no quotations, no pricing, no even a small note that they can not develope it

I found a solution!!! I found it here amitavroy.com/justread/content/articles/...e-chrome-and-safari. So after reading this I just put

}

in K2.css and that fixed the problem! Now everything looks as it is suppose to look in Firefox and Chrome (and Safari I suppose).

Check the CSS (k2.css) file for itemintrotext. It shows bold..

just make them match according to your preferences...

The read more link you can control on the category level... It is under "Item view options

I am new to k2 and it works fine except the read more button. I don't use read more and disabled/hide the button everywhere..... but he is still showing on our website. when you click on the button you get an empty home screen.
