K2 is an incredibly powerful and flexible extension that allows for stunning control of your Joomla content. This module is based on the standard K2 content display module. Rather than display all items with a category/tag, this module displays content that is associated with the currently viewed K2 item.

This means that there is no need to create or modify a K2 template to be able to display item content differently. You can position selected K2 content in a module position rather than in the content area. The module supports multiple instances on a single page which means you can now display selected content wherever you want on the page.

This module is currently only compatible with Joomla! 1.6 and above.

The next release of this module will include the following updates:

Full language file support for the back-end
Backwards compatibility for Joomla! 1.5

IAKI (Import As K2 Image)

IAKI (short for Import As K2 Image) allows you to use Joomla! article images (from imported Joomla! content) as K2 images. So you can make use of the options in K2 for sizing and showing/hiding images on demand per category, item or other view.

This plugin is useful after you have imported Joomla! articles into K2, where images used to exist inside the content blocks (introtext and/or fulltext). IAKI will fetch the first image from the article body (usually your main image) and assign it to the image positions used by K2 in all the K2 views (templates). That means you can now control these images as if they were K2 images.

If for some reason you want to move your old article images into a new folder (perhaps away from /images or /images/stories) e.g. so you clean up your folders, but you don't want to re-edit all your articles (in K2), you can simply move the images to the new folder and specify this folder in the plugin parameters, along with the old path. So if we wanted to move all images e.g. from "images/stories/blog" to "images/archive/blog", we would physically moved the images first and then specify these 2 paths in the plugin parameters.

Please note that this plugin will not dynamically resize your Joomla! article images as K2 images. The "resize" is done using HTML attributes on the K2 <img /> tag that is output. We plan to add resize options in a later version of the plugin.

K2 Related Content is a Joomla! module for K2 which displays items in the same category as current K2 item.

You can make all the settings via the administration interface of the module:

This module may order (sort) your articles in K2 category view by extrafields value.

Module features:

Drop-down select with extrafields;
Asc or desc sorting.

This module consists of two parts:

DM K2 Categories Dropdown allows you to list categories inside a dropdown or a listbox within a Joomla module.
It can split dropdowns up to 4 level (take a look to the attached screenshot).
You can choose to list categories (and, if you want, their subcategories in a structured list) having a particular parent.

JA Comment Component

We have released a new version of the Ja_Comment component, ver.1.1.1 for Joomla 1.7 in this new release, in addition to having solved many bugs, we have introduced support for the component K2.
all these new features have changed a large part of the component, in particular we have:

Whats new :
1. Added support for K2 User Avatar.
2. Through the Admin Panel now you have the opportunity to send email notification to article authors (including K2 articles/ authors).
3. We have also updated the support for Kunena Avatar.
4. Option to remove comment count from the article view.
5. Other useful function introduced is the ability to put guest comments only to approval process, skipping registered users from approval.
6. Now supports AlphaUserPoints component user avatars.
