Last Friday was Career Day at Orchard View Elementary School in Delray Beach. I had the pleasure of speaking to four classes about life as a writer. The students were great, the teachers were great, and I was honored that they invited me to be a part of their program. Many thanks to the students, faculty and administration for including me in their special day!

The editor of The Harvard Edition asked me to write an article about publishing. I wrote, Room in the marketplace for your book. It was posted today. Soon, chapter one of my book will be posted on the site although I have to do a small rewrite as she wants it in third person. I was and still am quite excited that i had an opportunity to write for them so excuse my babbling!

Jil Simon was happily married with two young children when she received the awful news that she had breast cancer. Determined to maintain as much normalcy as possible in her life and her children's, Jil used a cold cap while she received chemotherapy.
