Approximately a month ago I was viewing video interview with Sergey Brin. (to russian TV) I must to say that is was good and made me to think about some things - in that interview I’ve found five things you need to reach success. So, let’s go:

1. “Our company has always tried to do things that will provide as much benefit to the surrounding people. It is the main thrust of development - to think primarily about their designs, and not about the money that we can get”- Here he tells us the first secret of success, the secret of good business, a successful blog, a successful start, a successful life. Remember and enjoy.

2. “I think, and in Russia, you can create a successful company.” There are a lot of preconditions. Talking about IT, there are a lot of specialists and great Internet ideas.

3. “Being and partners, and friends - it is very difficult, but we like something happened. We often meet outside of work, for example, preparing kebab, travel together. Today I’ll tell you about my view on money, guys. What is money? A thing to exchange everything on everything… The disease of civilization… Measure of the value of material things… Rate of your “success”… Call as you want, and at the same time, forget all this… Indeed, money - this is universal and primary value. I don’t know how yet to say… Exactly! Brilliantly… Money - it is primary (the most important) need, without which it is impossible to meet the satisfaction of secondary primary needs (food, drink, sex, etc.). In reality, and nothing else to add. Everything I said is true.

Yes, I wrote “secondary primary needs.” You know well, if have read textbook sociology (with the classification of people classes: Principal highest, lowest supreme, the highest average, the lowest average, the lowest highest, lowest lowest), or simply print directly under the Maslou’s pyramid needs a rectangular parallelepiped with a large inscription “MONEY” in it. Have you understand my thoughts? Verstehen?

In reality, so it is. Some individuals now can convince me that money is not a paramount value, etc. But they won’t be right because:

First - you won’t take all your money and prefer them to the church (for example) now, not simply prefer slipping in a net field than good apartment in good hands.

Secondly - even if you lead me an example of rights, all this really has committed to disfigure, I tell you that… Even among all normal men and women there are exceptions to 2%. In different situations and stories. Therefore, to all normal people are allowed 2% of those who underestimate the value of money. I tell you, so these 2% are a bit crazy. What challenges blog should meet?

Do you know that every blog should meet the challenges? And I know

I like looking from reader position - it helps to write objectively. So, imagine that you’re a reader… Oh, you’re a reader… Ok, I will image that I’m a reader. Why am I reading blogs? Why I read this blog and don’t read that? Good questions generate good thoughts on this topic. So, my thoughts:

1. People come to a blog for information they need. And the first blog’s task is… To inform - to be a source of information on a particular subject! To convey good information to reader. One moment - that information must satisfy blogger’s informational hunger. Otherwise, he wents to another blog for good article he need and won’t subscribe on your feed.

2. To teach. It’s good if you’ve some experience to share with your readers. Or knowledges. Or something else - guide, books, posts. Sharing this, you help people. People, getting help, always thank you. Note, that you need such thanks, which your readers can give to you - RSS/Email subscription, link on you blog/article, good comment, good words, social bookmarks/services submitting, donation etc. A lot of variants just because of your help.

3. To entertain. I’m reading some blogs just because I like it’s author writing style with humour, funny examples and close communication with readers. Reading some blogs I really relax - these blogs I call blogs for the soul. I can not to pay attention to the content, but I like the blog’s atmosphere. It’s important too.

4. To engage the reader in the discussion. I saw some interesting publications wit more than 500 comments. Really interesting publications (simple text) which made a great discussion on topic in comments.

If you have something to add, do it through comments please.

So, using list below let’s determine that a specific time to remove from the blog feed reader or not to subscribe reason:

1. It is nothing new.

In most niches some big sites can be frequently updated to recalculate informative resources to collect 90% of all information on the topic. Indeed, precisely this handful of sites enough to be kept informed.

2. You already know enough. Or you need another knowledges and author didn’t write about them.

Do you use everything you’ve taught by blogs? Sites like ProBlogger and Copyblogger contain an enormous amount of useful information and, if you read them constantly, they can break your brain - prevent this practice: use all that are deemed appropriate, and the rest throw out of the head. At some point you’ll learn so much information that will you be able to do without their daily reading virtual gurus.

3. It is not fun.

Some blogs are “simply interesting to read” It’s like a TV: if you watch something entertaining, then think “how cool that I watched a TV now”, then worry - you could made during this time something useful or just rest. They just play with you, taking your attention! Even more time you could use more productivily than reading blogs to promote sites, blogging, the latest WP plugins? In this case try to remove any “time-eaters” - you’ll get a striking effect!

4. It has no life.

Sometimes even good blogs suffer from this. They no real discussion in comments, you almost never can participate in the life of the blog (can’t comment, add a great post to a social site, cant contacs with it’s author and give him your personal thanks). Comments often “talk” much more than was found in the initial report.

And if not interesting debate, no opportunity to speak, then maybe it is worth their refuse?

Today I tell you about first blog-money-making method.

Virtually everyone who enjoys widespread blog engines, using the theme. Each topic is the author, which usually refers to is located at the bottom of the page. Accordingly, it gives good PR references in this way. And also it makes good traffic I think.

So you need 3 things to be successful in moneymaking way #1:

1. Good drawing skills and excellent imagination.

2. One or two good works. It makes common PR, Later you won’t search for a clients.

3. Commerce experience and time

Blog - moneymaking machine or personal hobby?

Thousands of bloggers get some profit from their blog. Is it really good? My thoughts on this theme:

1. There is nothing bad if you are a good blogger and want to get some encouragement with help of blog. But some bloggers… Are not bloggers at all! They are moneymakers. They get huge profit and reading their’s null-articles is a waste of time. This can be observed mostly in American/European blogs I think. Western civilisation and character features makes people to make money on every corner. So this came to the Internet too.

But not in Russia. Our blogosphere has five or more bloggers which have more than 3K subscribers and do not monetise their blogs - it’s a hobby - no more. I haven’t seen foreign blogs with this voluntarism, can you show me?

2. If you have not enough subscribers or visitors - you’ve no chances to earn money from your blog. It’s good. It makes you to develop it… but #3

3. An urge to get money from your blog automatically makes your posts less infomative - you’re thinking more about how to make money from your blog aand less - how to help your readers and write really good post. Blog steps to a well-payed work from pleasured-hobby.

So, three common thoughts about blogging were up.

Writing a result, I want to say that every thing in the world (icluding blogging of cource) must be well-balanced. But, it depends on an authror. I know some men who lead excellent blogs and make good money from it. It’s a real result, maybe aim for smb., and it’s good. Blogging progress is unstoppable.

This also touches new features (including my blog free-advertising) that makes this progress more intensive and interesting.

Commenting another blogs and blog personalization

Writing comments is interesting and useful work. First, sharing your opinion on the subject line always helps to rethink their ideas and their structure. Secondly, a lot of great ideas are born on comments. Thirdly, leaving interesting comment in the blog, symbolised by his interest in the ideas of the author and give him the opportunity to learn smth about your blog.

So, how you should write comments in other people’s blogs?
1. Refer to the author of the blog by name (if not the name of the author writes, it can be used nickname) and don’t forget to be polite and interested.

2. Ask a question the author. It’ll improve your interaction and cooperation.

3. Try to be the first commentator. It makes your chances (be remakred and “authoritied”) to grow. Always end with your name.

4. Associate with other commentators - you may get some good traffic using this.

5. Don’t be arrogant, unpolite. If the discussion becomes eternal - contact your opponent. It’s a good chance to “find the truth” and to get one more subscriber.

6. And the most important thing: don’t write comments only in order to obtain references - it’s a bad manner and you’ll be unsuccessful in your commenting.

And, some advises to personalize your blog - people coming from another blogs to unknown blog, firstly want to see information about author. So, some personalization moments:

1. Place your foto on your blog

2. Use youe real name, not nickname.

3. Post articles about your life. I usually use such correlation - 1/10. But, it depends of blog’s thematic position.

4. Make good “about me” page.

5. Associate with your active readers in comments - success is guaranteed.

Thematical blogs - the best or the worst?

Let’s look on different thematical blogs. Do we need to create them, optimize and monetise?

I believe that thematic blogs - this is a very strong piece. Topical blog usually collects decent target audience, which is becoming a consumer advertising, placed on your blog.

Topical blog is “everything”-attractive blog for several reasons:
1. As I already wrote, he collects the target audience.
2. They are easier to manage, because there is a clearly defined theme and all posts to a blog are precisely within the designated topic.
3. Topical blog effectively promote, for example, exchanging news and links with other thematic and blog sites.
4. Easiest to sell advertising. Blog theme, target audience - the advertiser immediately sees that users are consumers for its advertising products.
5. And, of course, if a person or company owns several thematic blogs, then surely their total attendance will be higher than if one blog located everything.

How to make a thematic blog?

We have to decide domains. Two instances:
1. Several blogs posted on subdomains single domain.
2. Each blog posted on a separate domain with the name that reflects its theme. For example, about 80% of SEO-blogs in Russia contains “seo” in it’s name like “seowriter”, “seoblog” etc.

I personally like option with separate domains for each blog. It’s the best variant I think - on one hand you get more advertising places, on another hand - you can mix traffic between your blogs or with another thematic blogs.

We have to determine the topic. Now, there are tens and hundreds of blogs on all possible topics. You must choose. Even if the subject has to earth up from all sides - this is not scared, because if you like what you’ll write a blog, he will certainly find its audience.
