No one could be more grateful than I am for the hundreds of lives this book seems to have touched since it came out. Over these two years, I have enjoyed email correspondence not just with theologians and philosophers, but with extraordinary people in all walks of life--people who are looking for a way to honor their intuition that the divine exists, and for a way of honoring that intuition that does not undermine reason or science or faith in humanity. They know that God Is the Good We Do represents "a third way" (or rather, a fourth or fifth way, depending how you like to count :-). For the theology of theopraxy is neither atheism, nor theism, nor deism, nor agnosticism. It is neither New Age spirituality, nor Reform Judaism nor Progressive Christianity nor Humanism nor Ethical Culture, although it is compatible with several of these and respectful of all. The theology of theopraxy really is a new way to think about God: "God," the word, and God, the peculiar reality that He/She/It is.

To those of you who have read the book, then, I say: please share your thoughts in this new blog. Enter into a dialog with other readers, and to allow me to respond as best I can. To those of you who have not read the book I ask: please participate too, using this forum not to "flame" the apostasy that God Is the Good We Do can sometimes seem to represent, but to feel out the nature of the theology of theopraxy first, i.e., before getting into the book. Or moving on.

You may go directly to the blog at http://www.ggwd.blogspot.com if you are starting at www.godisthegoodwedo.com. And vice versa, of course.
God Is the Good We Do: Theology of Theopraxy will be in libraries and bookstores
from Bottino Books (New York) in the summer of 2007. Until then, visit
