Transformers Leader Optimus Prime - New Action Figure, Trans formers Toys

The new leader class Optimus Prime figure hits the stores this year. Following the success of Transformers Movie 2, Revenge of the Fallen, there's been a surge of interest in all things Transformers.

Hasbro has released a new, larger Optimus Prime figure plus exciting new Optimus Prime toys. The Optimus Prime Roll-Out Commander transforms by itself. There's an Optimus Prime RC vehicle (non-transforming), an awesome voice-changing Optimus Prime helmet and Powerhead walkie talkies in Optimus and Bumblebee designs.

The last few 20th anniversary Optimus Prime figures are available, for a while at least. No more will ever be manufactured, so these figures are real collectibles for true Transformers fans.

Finally, for those times when only an Optimus Prime costume will do, there's a standard or deluxe outfit with mask and matching Optimus Prime sword and gloves.

PlayStation PS3 is HOW much???

I admit, I don't get it. It's a GAME, FGS! And the day after PlayStation 3 came out in the US (with limited availability, of course), people posted auctions with starting prices of thousands of dollars. I saw one with 3 PS3s and a price of $20,000. I'm sorry, but what game can possibly be worth that much - even if it is by Sony? :)

Or am I missing the point entirely?

Thankfully the prices are back in the slightly-more-realistic zone and eBay has several PS3 auctions at around $600 or less (I saw one today at $352.50!). Some of these finish in a couple of minutes, so I put up a dynamic list on a special PlayStation PS3 page so the top auctions finishing in 30 minutes or more are all on one page and you can scan through them and take a closer look at the ones you're interested in. And if you're not already registered with eBay, it's quick and easy to do. Just make sure you leave enough time to complete your registration before the auction ends.

The highest-spending period of the year is about to start. Each year I make lists of the perfect gifts for everyone on my list, budget carefully, intend to do all my shopping online and in plenty of time ... and each year I end up buying "spur of the moment" , stupid gifts that no-one in their right mind would want to receive (in my family's case, that's not necessarily a bad thing!), overspending wildly and rushing around on Christmas Eve doing last-minute shopping.
