Diamonds and Pearls Pageantry and Gilbert Studio of Dance Present:

Miss Pink Flamingo is a NATURAL beauty pageant to benefit the dancers of the Gilbert Studio of Dance Arts Competition Team. Anyone may enter. Everything has to be age appropriate and very little makeup and hair done. This is a fun way to show all girls that they are naturally beautiful the way they are!

Deadlines to Enter:

-Early Bird Deadline: November 4th, 2011 (Do all for only $40)

-Final Deadline: November 18th, 2011 (Regular price of $50)

Registration/Rehearsal:

-Ages 0 - 6 years: Registration - 12 pm, Competition - 1 pm

-Ages 7 - 19 years: Registration - 2 pm, Competition - 3 pm

Entry Fees:

-Beauty (Mandatory): $40

-Theme Wear (anything PINK): $10

-Photogenic (color or black/white): $10 (extra photos are $5 each

To do EVERYTHING: $50 (beauty, photo, theme wear)

$5 Admission, 5 & under FREE

Fall 2011 Dance Registration

3 Days! (Tuesday - Thursday)

August 9th, 10th and 11th

Two Ways to Register
You can either print off the registration form, fill it out and mail it in to the Gilbert studio or bring it in with you to the studio during the 3 day registration which will take place during August 9th, 10th and 11th. Copies of the registration form will be available at the studio if needed.

Below you will find information regarding our annual recital for this year.

Recital Pictures will be held on May 17th and 18th at the Gilbert Studio.

Our Annual Recital 2011 will be held at LOPAC (Lexington One Performing Arts Center) on May 27th at 6:30 pm (Friday). There will be a Rehearsal on Thursday, May 26th (Time - TBA).

Recital Program Ads: We are currently taking ads for our recital program. These ads are a very affordable way to advertise your business or may be used to congratulate your dancer.

Dancewear Kits

We had our first day of dance yesterday and everyone had a blast! If you ordered a dancewear kit, then they are ready for pick up at the studio! You can come by anytime (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 2:30 - 6 pm to pick it up from the studio! The kits will be ready at your child's first day of class if you do not get them before! We have had a wonderful response at the creation of our NEW Performing Arts Company In One AccorDANCE (competition team and community outreach). We will have our information packets ready with all the details about this year's fees, schedules, and events available to you on Tuesday, August 17th from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., as well as, all the information updated on our website! However, since we have already established a fantastic 2010 - 2011 class schedule, we wanted to make it available to you!

We also want to announce that we will be offereing a $99 UNLIMITED monthly tuition which covers taking four or more classes weekly (excluding privates/afterschool care). More details to come on fees in the packet!

Ballet Intensive with Rosie Carnes

There will be a 3 day ballet intensive with instructor Rosie Carnes at the Gilbert Dance Studio. The dates for this class will be Monday (July 19), Wednesday (21) and Friday (23). The classes will take place from 9am until noon.

Included in this 3 day class will be strength training, ballet, choreography, and improvistation.

Attire: Wear black leotard, pink tights, and ballet shoes, with hair securely tied in a bun.

Remember to bring a water bottle and towel.

You must register by Friday, July 16.

We are offering week-long camps this summer for several different genres of dance. Summer camp is a great way to decide which genre is right for your child.

Costs

$75 per week for camper
One time $20 summer registration fee (includes t-shirt)
*Early drop-off/late pick-up is $25/week (bring a bag lunch)

*Please Note: An additional fee applies if late pick-up is after 6 p.m.

Summer Dance/Performing Arts Camp

1 week classes, offered all summer. There is an Enrollment Form that must be filled out in order to participate in these camps. For dates, times, other details, and the Enrollment Form, please follow this link.

Studio Closed

The studio will be closed on the following dates: Good Friday (April 2nd) and Spring Break (5th - 9th). Classes will resume on Monday, April 12th.

Hip-Hop Classes

We have 6 week kids and teen/adult level Hip-Hop classes beginning April 14th. If interested, please see the front desk by April 2nd to sign up.

Costumes

ALL outstanding balances are due. Costumes will not be distributed if you have a past due tuition or costume balance.

Pictures

Pictures have been scheduled for May 3rd, 4th and 5th at the studio. Times TBA.

Recital Fee Due By April 15th

A $40/family recital fee is due April 15th. This includes unlimited guests and trophy.

Rehearsal

Rehearsal for the 2010 recital will be Friday, May 21st at the B&L Fine Arts Center. Times TBA.

Recital

The 2010 recital will be Saturday, May 22nd at B&L Fine Arts Center. Times TBA.

*For your convenience, the studio will remain open until 6pm for after school care, May24th-28th and June 1st-3rd. Cost is $10/day; $5 snack card required.

Garage Sale on Saturday, August 29th!

This Saturday morning, August 29th, at the dance studio, we are having a garage sale to raise money to fix the floors in the studio! If you would like to donate items, please do so on Wednesday or Thursday, from 2 - 7 p.m. at the studio. We also can use volunteers on Friday evening to help set up, and volunteers for the sale on Saturday.
