When venturing out to look for pillows in the past I have always based my decision on the sale price and I never really bothered looking or even thinking to look at what these pillows were made of. These pillows of course never seem to last longer than 6 months and I have to run out and look for new pillows to replace them. They are made of leather, and these shoes are the most comfortable things I have ever had the pleasure to walk in. They are oh so stylish and fit so nicely.

Recently I decided that my living room was very much in need of a major overhaul. I wanted to get rid of my bland white walls, the dated curtains and blah pictures that were up on the walls. A fresh coat of paint in a warm colour, new window treatments and something amazing to put up on the walls to make them pop was the way I wanted to go. I did not want traditional pictures on the walls but instead something more current and interesting that blended in nicely with my furniture and living room accessories. My biggest concern was to find something that would look good on the big empty space above my couch. I ended up going the route of searching online to get some good ideas on how I could achieve this.

What I ended up finding online was a fabulous little shop on Etsy called Urban Walls that sells wall stickers and the options were endless!! There were so many wonderful choices that would look great in my living room so it took me a little time to decide on what would be perfect for me.  I also loved that I could even choose the colour of my decal from a wide array of colours. I ended up with an amazing Life’s A Breeze Wall Decal in brown and I am very happy to let you all know that I am totally thrilled with choice.

Once I received my Urban Walls Life’s A Breeze Decal in the mail I was so anxious to get started and have it grace my wall. I had never put up a decal before and was a bit apprehensive and worried that I would mess it up. Urban Walls included a step by step instruction guide with the wall decal for me to follow. I read it all through and then grabbed the tools I needed to get started.  As per the instructions cleaning the surface is important to remove any dust and debris before putting up the sticker and the decals are intended for one time use only. Take the time to decide exactly where you want to put the decal and once you have be patient, be careful, be strong and be smooth. Before you know it your project is complete!

It was simple to do and from start to finish the whole process ended up taking me less than a half hour. The results are instant and the end product looks so amazing and very classy. I had never been a DIY kind of person but after doing this on my own and seeing how very easy it was I am hooked and can’t wait to get started on my next project.

Joya Canada was so kind in sending me a pair of their hottest selling Venezia shoes. They are extremely popular and fly off the shelves just as quickly as they are stocked!

I was very impressed with this shoe right out of the box and my satisfaction with this shoe only grew the more I wore them. The Venezia feels minimal, light, and flexible, yet it is also protective and supportive enough to wear on long walks!! However, the Venezia could also be used as an everyday running shoe for those who spend time on both roads and trails.
I personally found that the Venezia adapted well to the roads (much better than most trail shoes) and the smooth heel to toe transition allows it to perform well in all conditions. I honestly love both the style and comfort of these shoes, they are the best shoes that I have ever owned!!

I put this vacuum together without the help from my husband, as it comes with very easy instructions. If I can put it together, anyone could! They let me choose from the newest standard Dyson Vacuum, or a special one specifically for animal owners. With having 3 dogs, the Dyson DC 43 Animal Vacuum it was!

The Dyson DC 43 Animal Vacuum is a Dyson Ball™ upright vacuum with the latest Radial Root Cyclone™ technology. It generates the strongest suction power at the cleaner head, to powerfully remove dust, dirt and pet hair from the home. Includes a Mini turbine head to clean pet hair and stubborn dirt from upholstery, stairs and the car.

I am very proud to boast that the Dyson DC43 Animal Ball is a Bagless Upright Vacuum, which means no more having to run for bags unlike on most other vacuums. To me this also means a greener world, as they no longer continue to use bags!

The Pros:

~ The DC 43 Animal Vac has EXCELLENT suction, I was impressed by this.

~ Whoever invented the ball was a complete genius! I love how easy it maneuvers so easily and turns on a dime!!

~ I find it very lightweight for carrying it up and down the stairs

~ The floor tool pivots great and gets down low under beds, furniture

~ Turbine tool is made well and doesn’t power out

(Turbine tool is used to clean pet hair and stubborn dirt from upholstery, stairs and the car)

~ Another thing that impressed me is that the Dyson Animal uprights and canister are certified asthma and allergy friendly™ by the Asthma Society of Canada.

~ I have three dogs, and my other vacuum would just basically roll over the hair and pick up a little here and there — the Dyson DC 43 Animal vac honestly removed the dirt and pet hair that was on my livingroom area rug, as well as the upstairs and downstairs carpet like nothing! I was amazed to see all of the gross stuff in that clear cup (that also comes off to empty into the garbage and re-attaches very easily by the way)

The 1 Con:

~ The price. Very expensive and difficult for a lot of people to buy although many many people want one!

This Dyson DC 43 Vac is much lighter than my other vacuum and a lot easier to handle for tight spots! The ball makes it amazingly easy to maneuver on all floor surfaces. It literally turns on a dime with the twist of the wrist!! Design and ergonomics are top notch, so is the pull-out hose which is very handy. Emptying the canister is simple, just pull the canister out and press a button, the bottom opens and everything falls right out into your garbage. This is the best vacuum for animal hair!

I truly adore this vacuum for both carpet and solid surface floors. It works excellent on all floors. It works so good at picking up dog hair and dirt we never actually knew we had. The Dyson Canada DC 43 Animal Vacuum sucks up pollen and allergens as well. Words can’t even express how phenomenal this machine really is! Just be careful about where you empty the dirt canister. Dust and dirt does tend to fly when emptying it so be sure to empty it outside or in the garage.

Dyson Canada never disappoints. I will never use another vacuum in my life other than Dyson! Dyson sells the best vacuums, period. Not only are their vacuums amazing, but their customer service skills as well as delivery time were also above outstanding!

Green Tangerine is one of my newest discoveries and I am so happy that I found this amazing online store. The owner very kindly sent me a wide variety of products to try out and review for the wonderful readers at CoolCanucks.

I really like that the ingredients for the Green Tangerine products are natural, environmentally friendly and handcrafted.

Satsuma Guava Body Lotion:   I was very impressed with this body lotion. I decided to bring this one to work so that some of my coworkers could try it is as well and they were as impressed as I was with this product. The fragrance is not heavy or overwhelming. When applies it is light and easily absorbed. My hands did not have an oily or greasy residue after applying and left my hands feeling soft and smooth. I am totally hooked on this lotion and the scent!

Satsuma Guava Body Butter: I really loved using this product after I got out of the shower every morning and I applied it all over my body. The refreshing orange scent was perfect to perk me up first thing in the morning which is always a good thing. The fragrance just like the body lotion is not overwhelming and it left my skin feeling soft and silky smooth.

Satsuma Guava Body Spray: I found this body spray to be rather unique from any other that I have ever tried. The same scent as the other two products which made it perfect for layering and have the fragrance last for hours. The mist from the spray bottle is very fine so you do not have to worry about applying too much. The body spray is made with a fragrance oil and feels wonderful on your when applied

Pink Sugar Roller Perfume: I love scents that remind me of sweet food and this one really fits the bill. The pink sugar fragrance smells so yummy that it is almost good enough to eat. I also really like that the perfume roller is small enough so you can stick it in your purse and take it with you everywhere. Always handy when you want to pick me up and want to smell good!

Coconut Lime Verbena
A very fresh scent of lime and verbena with just a hint of coconut.

Lavender

A fresh fragrance similar to Bath and Body Works Cucumber Melon

Vanilla Sandalwood
Sandalwood and vanilla combined, giving this scent a very grown up seductive fragrance.

Lilac
No chemical undertone here, smells like lilacs just picked off the tree. Enjoy Spring all year round.

Bartlett Pear
A very fresh light fragrance has the hint of sweetness of a fresh ripened pear.

Satsuma Guava
An all time customer favourite citrusy satsuma scent, very unisex.

White Tea and Ginger
A new favourite. White tea mixed with a subtle ginger. A very original scent with just enough zip.

I don’t know about you, but I for one hate packing lunches to begin with. And then having to bring your sandwiches along with fruits and vegetables in individual plastic bags really sucks! After all, plastic bags are on the outs now in our new and much greener world! Landfills are full and overflowing with plastic bags which is extremely sad.

Most parents pack lunch items for themselves, children, or spouses in single-use plastic bags, aluminum foil, or wax paper. Admittedly, these products are extremely convenient, but what is the environmental cost to a country that relies so heavily on them? It is horrible!!

For some, it can be hard to imag­ine a world with­out plas­tic – espe­cially plas­tic bags.
The cons of using plas­tic bags are so over­whelm­ing I don’t think I can think of any pros. They are a huge pol­lu­tion prob­lem, their light­weight design allows them to blow away eas­ily. The fact that they are free gives them no value so peo­ple don’t think about how they dis­pose of them. They are made from petro­leum, which could be used for fuel or energy. They don’t biode­grade, instead they break­down and are mis­taken for food and are often eaten by both land and marine ani­mals which is fatal. They are found every­where and many ani­mals become fatally entangled.
They are not biodegrad­able, so they will per­sist pretty much for­ever, wher­ever they end up. Land­fills if we are lucky, but because of their wide­spread use and their abil­ity to fly away in the wind, they can be a big part of the trash along roads and fields. If they get into the water, they look like food and end up clog­ging the stom­achs of a vari­ety of ani­mals, most famously sea tur­tles look­ing for jellyfish.

The recy­cling of plas­tic bags, while prefer­able to other dis­posal meth­ods, is not cost-effective. Plas­tic bags have only existed for 25 years yet the bil­lions that have been pro­duced since then have caused immea­sur­able dam­age to the envi­ron­ment and to wildlife.
