Well the real question is are you ready for a Zombie Attack? A recent story that has emerged across the internets is that a man was gunned down while eating another mans face. You read that correctly. Still don’t think the zombies might be upon us?

I have been following this story since it happened and the accounts have changed multiple times. One detail that hasn’t changed is the fact that one man was eating another mans face after being shot multiple times. Apparently two men in their birthday suits were on the MacArthur Causeway off ramp in Miami Florida. A struggle had begun between the two and one of the men got the other on the ground and began gnawing on his face. A woman witnessed the incident and flagged down a near by police officer.

The police officer doing his job just as he was supposed to ordered the man to stop the attack. After he didn’t listen he fired one round into the man. Here is where the story gets real, the man acted as though he didn’t even feel it and continued his mauling. The officer had to fire around half a dozen shots to take down the man. The naked man’s victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center and had critical injuries.

Police are saying the man may have been on a number of drugs. However, everyone knows that this is the start to the first zombie attack. Start googling and getting ready for the news stories to begin! No, this story is most likely a homeless man on a rampage of drug abuse. But if this really is the start of the apocalypse are you prepared?

•    Within the first couple rings, Call Rigger™ identifies that this is potentially a number that you want to “Play A Rig On,” and the app presents you with the option to RIG or NOT TO RIG.  Should you choose to Rig, the app then presents you with a list of Rigs to choose from: typical examples might include — “this number is disconnected”, “this number is out of service,” or “all circuits are busy,” and so forth.

•    While being careful as to stay quiet, [so that the caller does not hear anything but the Rig being played], SELECT the desired Rig message by pressing the title on the screen.

•    The Rig is then played out loud over your phone’s speaker, at full volume, and the microphone is not disabled as in a half-duplex environment; instead the microphone is listening and broadcasts the Rig being played through your device’s speakerphone out to the caller.

•    Then finally, for Android OS 2.3 devices, you must hang up the phone manually, as soon as the message is played.  With previous Android OS versions of the same app, Call Rigger will automatically hang up on the bothersome call.

Most people that decide to stay on RIM’s platform do so for one of only a few reasons.  You are either on a contract and dying to get rid of it, you love BBM and its the only thing keeping you on BlackBerry, or you actually do like the phone’s that RIM makes.  A lot of users have said in talking that they enjoy BBM and they feel its a good reason to stay with RIM.  The rest of you… not so much.

According to an article in the WSJ BlackBerry users are seeing their BBM contact lists shrink, and by the day.  At a height of almost 75 million users not so long ago RIM is now saying they have 55 million BBM users, with that number decreasing day after day.  When RIM’s former CO-CEO’s were still in charge they had high hopes of BBM becoming a big part of RIM’s strategy going forward, but since leaving, the new CEO has put BBM and any projects relating to it at the bottom of the pile.

I have had the opportunity to review several cases for Cygnett recently, and when I was offered the chance to review their Glam case I jumped on it. I choose the Glam Red case, which to me was an easy decision because I love the color red. Just like the Lavish Earth Case, the Glam case is a folio case for the new iPad that can act as a multi-view stand in landscape mode. It is offered as both the Glam Rock case and the Glam Red case. Both colors look stunning and will make your iPad stand out in any crowd. When you first look at the case, you will be amazed at just how glossy it is. You can tell it is coated with a slick material that gives it this glossy look, without sacrificing any of the protection you want in a case. When closed the case offers screen protection for your iPad as well as an easy to carry book-style design.

As always, I put this case to the test for a full week in order to be able to give the best review of the case that I could. It was able to handle traveling back and forth between my house and my brothers apartment while I was watching his cat for him. The cat also was intrigued by the case, and it withstood his curiosity. I wish my arm could say the same after catching him while he escaped the apartment. That is a completely different story, meant for a personal blog.

After sliding your iPad into the designated area, you just need to secure it with a Velcro strap and you are good to go. The inside of the case is made of a soft material that will not scratch up your iPad at all.

With the high gloss comes the need to polish and buff the Glam case every once in a while to hide fingerprints and light scratches, but the case continues to look stunning regardless. It also offers the automatic sleep/wake magnet feature that the Alumni and Lavish Earth case have as well. This is something I look for in every case now, since I have grown so used to it thanks to my Apple Smart Cover and all of the Cygnett cases I have had the chance of testing out!

The Glam case offers three different angles that you are able to view your iPad in landscape mode.

As you would expect, the Cygnett Glam case for the new iPad claims to provide unobstructed access to all the ports, cameras buttons & the touchscreen. The charging port is a little harder to access based on the angle, but that is something that is easy to get past considering the rest of the ports are very easy to access.

Overall, I love this case. It looks incredible, offers great protection for my iPad, and at $59.99 I wouldn’t expect anything less. Cygnett takes pride in their cases, and it shows that they want to offer their customers the best. This case is not going to let you down.
