The latest addition we have had the chance to review is the Oasis Flow. The flow which is designed to be weather proof, extremely durable and very portable has been through quite a lot in our hands. Read on to see what we learned. Just like the other Pure radios the software can be updated via wireless or usb. This is EXTREMELY nice because of all the features the radio comes with. Also with the wireless you can connect to the internet and use “The Lounge” is your online gateway to a world of live radio, on-demand content (podcasts, listen again programs and ambient sounds) and all the music you’ll ever want. But The Lounge isn’t the only way to listen to music on this. When I am out in the yard with the dogs I love to listen to my favorite FM stations and try to win free goodies. With the Pure Flow I get an excellent signal and sound quality without having to worry about a any of the elements ruining my radio.

Another fantastic option is being able to connect it to your wireless harddrive. The radio, when connected to your wifi, can also connect to your wireless media players. I have all my music on a wireless harddrive and being able to connect to that with my radio saves me so much times and hassle of worrying about wires or cables. However for people who don’t have that option, there is also an option for AUX cable to be plugged in.

On top of being extremely durable, this is also very portable. On the top is a built in handle which is perfect for carrying where ever you are going. The antenna is able to be unscrewed from the top and locks in place on the back. Best of all the battery is built in and rechargeable! Never worry about replacing big D batteries, or the backing getting lost.

Overall this is one of the coolest radios I have ever been able to use. It is completely weatherproof, none of the natural elements will get in and mess it up. It is extremely portable for on the go use at the beach, backyard, park or where ever you want to use it. Battery lasts up to 9 hours on a charge which is amazing when you think about how long you are going to be out. I give this a 9 out of 10 overall. If you would like more information on the radio or to purchase head over to PURE and check out all of their awesome products!

Step back and think about this for a second. If someone was to ask you for the time, how many ways can you find it? If your in front of your computer you have the clock in Windows or OSX, your watch, smartphone, desk clock, and many others I am sure. Get a kick out of what is probably the most low tech clock ever constructed. Better yet, its constantly under construction, as you will see after hitting the link below.

For those of us with unlimited data on our phones, our time is coming to an end. Verizon announced in a press conference yesterday that they will be forcing all customers to a tiered data plan. Being one of those people on the unlimited data I am personally outraged, yet I do understand the necessity to terminate the unlimited plans to a certain extent.

Tiered data plans are not completely terrible. If you own a tablet, a laptop, a mifi and a phone then you know how it feels to pay for the data plans on all of them. Instead you would be on a unified data plan that covers all of the under one. Also most of the people who are actually on the unlimited data plans don’t need nor come any where near reaching their cap of 2GB so having it unlimited is pointless.

Now, for those of us who have just a phone and actually use more then 5GB of data in a month, because we are constantly using them on the fastest 4G available, the tiered data is not for us. If Verizon wants to keep their customers happy and gain respect from their community they would not switch everyone over, but give people the option based on their usage.

We sent an email over to our friends at Verizon and got a response pretty quickly. Here is what they said:

VZW has been evaluating its data pricing structure for a while. We’re working on offering data share plans later this year.

We will share details of the plans and any related policy changes well before their introduction so our customers have time to evaluate and determine the best option for them.

So there you have it! Confirmation that something is in the works. So readers tell us, how much data do you use a month, and will you be sticking with Verizon if they cap you? Leave your thoughts below!

Attach your iPhone anywhere using one simple multi-purpose mounting system
Melbourne, Australia – May 14, 2012– Annex Products, the leading manufacturer of the Opena® case, announces availability of the Patent Pending Quad Lock™, the ultimate multipurpose mounting system for your iPhone and other devices. The Quad Lock™ is a safe and easy mounting solution that attaches to almost any surface and conveniently positions your mobile device in portrait or landscape mode. With Quad Locks’ multi-purpose hands free mount, watching movies, reading the latest news or playing with your favorite apps is now even easier.

The lightest and strongest mount available on the market, the Patent Pending Quad Lock™ System is ultra slim and made from tough polycarbonate. The products beauty lies in its simplicity. The Quad Lock™ iPhone case includes a fitting in the rear of the case which securely attaches to any of the Quad Lock™ Mounts. The different mounts will allow the user to use an iPhone in varied scenarios. The many different applications for the mount include Cycling, Car, Golf Cart, Aircraft, Home and Office and even use as a microphone stand to display sheet music. If you don’t have an iPhone there is a Universal Adapter available which allows you to add Quad Lock™ functionality to just about any phone, case or tablet.

Mounts/Kits that are currently available include:

• Quad Lock Deluxe Kit- This kit includes: A Quad Lock Case for iPhone 4/4S, two Wall Mounts with 3M Adhesive, and a Bike Mount PRO with mounting hardware.

• Quad Lock Wall Mount Kit- This kit includes: Quad Lock Case for iPhone 4/4S and two Wall Mounts with 3M Adhesive

Available accessories include the following: Adhesive wall mount, iPad case, Poncho (a water resistant protective cover for the iPhone 4/4S Quad Lock™ case), Universal Adapter and Tripod Adapter

“Most car, wall and bike mounts require you to remove your phone from your everyday case, insert it into another cradle system, and then remove it from the cradle and replace your case when you’re done. The alternatives are the hold-anything style cradles that fit nothing well,” says designer turned entrepreneur, Chris Peters of Annex Products. “If you’re like us, you use your iPhone as a GPS while driving/boating, a trip computer while cycling, a list minder while shopping, a score card while golfing, an alarm clock while sleeping, a recipe book while cooking, a calendar while at the office and occasionally for taking a phone call,” says Ward. “The Quad Lock™ makes all of these tasks easier by providing an easy-to-use mounting system that was designed specifically for the iPhone.”

Availability

The Quad Lock™ case and Mounting system is available in a variety of different kits with prices ranging from $39.95 to $69.95. To purchase your very own Quad Lock™, visit www.quadlockcase.com.

About Annex Products

Annex Products was founded by Rob Ward and Chris Peters from Melbourne, Australia, two mates who like to make things happen, and designed and developed the Opena® case. Chris is an Industrial Designer with a passion for good design and Rob is an idea man with a knack for online sales and marketing. Together they combined their powers to make the Opena® case a reality. Originally launched on the crowd funding site Kickstarter in June 2011, it received huge interest and quickly jumped to 50% of its funding goal in the first week. Word got out and it wasn’t long before the Opena® was showing up on design and gadget blogs in Australia, America, France, Japan, and Russia! 100% funding was achieved on Monday the 27th of June 2011 and the project finished on the 8th of July reaching 188% of the set funding goal. With the success of the Opena and Quad Lock under their belt, Ward and Peters formed Annex Products. The Playa Case™ is their third product and is due to be in production in the summer of 2012.

To say that Modern Warfare 3 is a complete disappointment to me is an understatement. I really just cant take anymore of the same old tried and true COD. Lets hope BLOPS2 turns out to be a bit better. Maybe after this weekend’s new trailer launch I might get excited for it. Activision is said to be very pleased with the performance of pre-orders. This girl here has yet to pre-order herself.

Need to get the Internet into your bedroom, basement, or any other room in your house? Dont like the idea of having a home wireless network due to security risks or just not needing that much coverage? Intellinet Network has the option that may be for you, The Powerline AV500 Ethernet Adapter can take you home electrical wiring and turn it into your own personal network. Sound Interesting? Check out my complete review after the jump

First off, what exactly is the Powerline. The Powerline is basically a way to convert you Internet signal to be transmitted across your home or office wiring to a second receiver that takes the signal from your home wiring and converts it back to a signal to be transmitted over a Ethernet cable into your computer.

Installation is a snap. First you take and plug one adapter into a ethernet cable from your router and plug the adapter into your outlet. Next you take the other adapter to where you need the network. Plug the second adapter into your outlet and then connect the ethernet cable to your computer and you are good to go.

Say all you need for now is that one adapter. What happens in the future is you decide you would like a connection in multiple rooms. No need to run out and by a wireless router, you can simply buy additional adapters and place them in whatever room you may need a network connection in. As long as the room has a power outlet that is connected to your home, you have a viable spot to have your home network.

There are two options when purchasing the Powerline Adapters. You can get the 500Mbps AV500 or the 200Mbps AV200. These adapters offer networks speeds of 500 Mbps or 200 Mbps depending on what model you purchase. The Starter Kit comes with both Adapters you need to set up your network. Once you have your network set up, you can purchase single adapters to add to separate rooms in your house.

What is the benefit to this over say a wireless network or a wired network? Wireless networks can leave you open to hackers. Even if you have a decent password to access your network. Wired home networks require you to possibly drill holes in your walls, run wires through your basement or crawl space, and then purchase new wall plates and outlets. With the Powerline it is just plug and play using your houses existing electrical wiring.

The Powerline is good for anything from video streaming, to internet, to game consol’s to VOIP.

Want another reason to purchase one? They come with a 3 year warranty. Where else can you get that kind of warranty?

Prices start at $115 USD for the AV200 and $140 USD for the AV500, depending on what site you order from. While this may sound steep, consider the cost of a good wireless router, or the cost of Ethernet cable and jacks for your entire house. You will soon see that the prices are very similar.

I’m not going to give you hard numbers on the data the Powerline Adapter can handle due the the large amount of variables involved. Incoming Internet speed, quality of wiring, quality of the wiring job, distance traveled. I will say, that in my house, the Powerline Adapter was fast enough to give me a constants stream of music over Slacker Radio, load web pages with ease, and give me no lag while playing COD MW3 on Xbox.

Overall this is a good product that can save you hassles if you don’t want to worry about running wires through your entier house, or are worried about someone stealing your informaion over a wireless network. Check out the Intellinet Network website for more info and links on where you can purchase a Powerline Adapter.

Sydney, Australia. May 16, 2012 – Roamz, a Australia-based start-up, is excited to announce today the release of the much-anticipated Android version of its location-based mobile app, which helps users discover the world around them in real-time. By merging local content, social media and mobile technology, Roamz gives its members up-to-date information about what is happening in their area including user reviews of restaurants, pubs, festivals, events and places – for free, and all at the touch of a button.

This release of Roamz offers all the benefits of Roamz 2.0, along with a unique Android flavor. Through intelligent technology, Roamz curates recent and interesting content from social networks like Foursquare, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This smart curation, along with images and posts contributed by the Roamz community, allows users to use this App to discover local hot spots and hidden gems alike. New users can use Roamz to discover what locals are talking about whether it be interesting nearby places, events or activities. All of the content displayed in Roamz is publicly shared content and a user doesn’t have to ‘check-in’ in order to use the App.

Jonathan Barouch, Founder and CEO of Roamz, said “We are thrilled to be able to welcome the Android community to Roamz. We have created a unique product that gives people real-time, local insight into what is going on around them and we think that Android users will love it.”

While some apps only realize their potential when the user base in any particular geography hits critical mass, Roamz is immediately populated with up to date information no matter where you are. By pulling information about great things to do and see, from some of the world’s leading social platforms and apps, no matter whether you are in Sydney, New York or Paris.

Since the launch of Roamz 2.0 in March, the app received more than 120,000 downloads and has served more than six million recommendations to its community worldwide.

“It’s been incredible to watch our community grow over the past six months, and every day we see people discovering their local neighbourhoods and sharing their finds not only on our platforms, but across Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare. We’re hearing about how useful it is to users not just at home, but when they travel – and we’re so excited to now offer this kind of personalised discovery to a whole new audience.

Availability

Roamz for Android is free, and available now through Google Play.

So, I know that it’s pretty obvious that I love Gotham City Impostors, but – this new DLC pack they just announced sounds like it’ll be the best one yet. It’s not another free download, but I’m sure it’ll be 400 Microsoft Points (like the Rodeo Pirate Pack), so it’s not too costly. The Steamy Punk pack will include steampunk costumes for both Bats and Jokerz, a steampunk voice, a new Dino weapon paint job, and a new gadget – the jetpack, plus a new weapon – the Witch Doctor. The jetpack will let you fly, like the glider rig… but you can shoot while in the air! The best addition will be the Witch Doctor – a weapon that is essentially designed to help you deal with campers. Who hasn’t been playing GCI in Team Deathmatch and found the majority of the opposing team is clustered around a health station, trying to blast away at your team every time they come near? Equip the Witch Doctor and electrocute the crud out of them! Plus, if they’re wearing armor – the armor acts as a conductor, dealing more damage to them! Awesome!!

Now, the video says the Steamy Punk pack will be available ‘soon’, but no hard date is given. No price info was given either, but like I mentioned before I’d be surprised if it was more than 400 MS Points on Xbox 360 (and priced comparably for other platforms). The pack also comes with a mascot, Stitches, and a new Fun Fact – Well Grounded (which acts to the Witch Doctor).

When I first purchased the new iPad I order the red leather Apple smart cover to go with it. I knew I was spending more money than if i got the cheaper version, but I knew that part of the money was at least going to a good cause. I immediately began to look for a back cover that would work well with the smart cover, and possibly even secure it to the point that I didn’t have to worry about it randomly coming off. After a little bit of a research, I stumbled on the Incipio Smart Feather for the new iPad. While it is also available for the iPad 2, it doesn’t cover the magnet for the smart cover. This is one of the best parts of the case in my opinion.

The Incipio Smart Feather for the iPad (3rd ten) combines a 1 millimeter thin coat of protection with the ability to work with an Apple Smart Cover. The case itself has a soft matte finish, and provides you with a silky smooth exterior that is perfect for sliding you finger over without any type of resistance. It is also perfect for preventing the iPad from slipping from your finger tips. It is designed with the Smart Cover in mind. It has a cover that secures the Smart Cover in it’s place, to the point you can dangle the iPad in the air holding onto nothing but the Smart Cover, and you won’t worry about the iPad going crashing to the ground at any point.

The top and the bottom of the case are exposed leaving you unrestricted access to the charging port, mic, speaker, lock button, and headphone jack. There are cutouts for the camera and the volume/toggle button as well. I love the cutout for the camera on this case, it is the perfect size compared to most cases who leave a hole that is way to big.

While the case is only 1mm thick, it is still protective enough that you won’t be concerned if you accidentally drop it. It even comes with Incipio’s vanity kit that includes a cleaning cloth, screen protector, and applicator card. I had issues with the screen protector, and eventually gave up on it, but many of you out there will have better luck and more patience than I do!

Overall, I think this is a fantastic case choice. If you look around you can even find a coupon code which will make the case even cheaper. I paid $27 for mine shipped, but the case itself retails at $34.00 from incipio.com. This is a great investment for those who love to use their Apple Smart Covers.

The Good: Lightweight, Easy to put on, Thin, plenty of color options, comes with a screen protector, protective

The Bad: The screen protector is hard to apply.
