If you ride an old Harley-Davidson, this is the best event you will go to in the UK. And it's the last one we're going to put on.
And tomorrow is your last chance to buy an advance ticket by emailing linkertattacksuk@gmail.com
This is a party for people who don't care about the party and do it for the ride. I will be doing a 1000 mile round trip on a 61 year old bag of nails, so please, no more comments like "let me have the location, if it's near enough I'll come" or "I have a Shovelhead but never ride...

It's been one of those weeks that feels like a month.
I was due to fly out to Copenhagen last Thursday to pick up my repaired bike and ride with James and a bunch of other friends up to the very last Jokers show in Sweden. But it wasn't to be.
My wife had been feeling unwell for days and on the evening before my flight was admitted to hospital with a severe kidney infection; I had to cancel the trip. After ten years of wanting to see the infamous and hugely influential Jokers show for myself, my last chance to do...

I hope you'll forgive me: my coverage of the Castle Run is patchy at very best. I snatched these few photos on the Sunday morning after many had left; Saturday morning was spent on the bike's gearbox... afternoon spent sitting behind the GK table, so I didn't have much opportunity to shoot the bikes I wanted to.
There will, however, be some top-notch coverage of the event in the next issue, with great photos by a talented photographer (ie. not me.) There, you'll get the full rundown of how good the food, people, vibe, beer and bikes were... you will definitely...

Yorg Powell's '41 big twin flattie graces the cover, and the feature on his bike leads us on to a vast array of glorious machinery, ranging from various Panheads to a badass Model A; a '28 Harley J to a Triumph pre-unit; and even an interview with Larry Bishop – biker b-movie star extraordinaire.
The broken ankle wasn't mine... but my tranny and dream of reaching Krenkerup Castle in Denmark without assistance both suffered damage.
I must admit, I was nervous about this trip to the Castle Run. Because I'd only had a few days with my bike before setting off for the ferry at Harwich, I didn't have absolute trust in it. Which is an uneasy feeling to carry with you through hundreds of miles overseas. (The few days...

So, are you prepared for the Castle Run in Denmark the weekend after next? And if you're not going, why aren't you?
Anyway, having got my bike back from Rich Millard on Tuesday, I have been riding as much as possible before the big trip to Scandinavia in a week's time. And naturally, the bike is running like shit.
The second gear problem persists despite Rich's best efforts to cure it, and as the sun was shining yesterday morning (yes, really) I arranged to meet Pete at our usual lunch spot about 10 miles from here. Bike was running fine, then plop...

'English' Don Cornwallis died on 13 May. I am aware that for many people into custom motorcycles these days, English Don may be a name they have heard somewhere but know nothing about. You may have heard that for a time he was Indian Larry's partner in the 'Bayonet Brothers', a travelling chopper-centred circus that sold merch and thrilled audiences around the USA before choppers were the mainstream money-making exercise they are today. But Don was more than that.
As an avid reader of Iron Horse magazine in the early to late nineties, I looked forward to my monthly window onto...

OK, here's the deal. If you have a pre-1983 Harley-Davidson and you're not afraid to ride it further than the nearest bar, you need to keep the last weekend of June free. Because there's an event happening in one of the UK's most beautiful locations (south-west) for bikes just like yours.
Linkert Attacks! is the legendary laid back get-together for owners of classic or chopped H-Ds, and this is only the second time it's been staged in the UK. It will also be the last.
So don't hang around: places are genuinely limited, so book your ticket now. It's £65 for a...
