Metallica began at 9:30pm and I had shivers down my spine when I saw them entering the stage. The setlist was pretty good, all the songs I wanted them to play were played, so I’m happy. Here’s the setlist for those of you interested: Setlist.FM.

The show was amazing, the sound quality was very good, the lighting effects and pyrotechnics were fantastic. It was an incredible concert and I’m really glad I was a part of it.

Timothy Olyphant is the lead role in this movie, and if you know me well, you comprehend that I love that man. So, it was very nice watching him on the big screen again, I last saw him in A Perfect Getaway so I was having withdrawals from watching him, hehe.

Anyways, the performances by the actors were pretty good, considering the genre of the movie. The action/confrontation sequences were entertaining, and the gore presented was pretty cool. The run time of the movie was 1:41, which I think is perfect for these kinds of movies. Not too short, not too long. I like when they don’t extend the run time and add scenes that don’t really contribute to the plot, and usually what they do is bore you. I don’t think this movie had that.

The plot of the movie, for those of you who don’t know what is it about:

David Dutten is sheriff of Ogden Marsh, a picture-perfect American town with happy, law-abiding citizens. But one night, one of them comes to a school baseball game with a loaded shotgun, ready to kill. Another man burns down his own house-after locking his wife and young son in a closet inside. Within days, the town has transformed into a sickening asylum; people who days ago lived quiet, unremarkable lives have now become depraved, blood-thirsty killers, hiding in the darkness with guns and knives. The few still sane find themselves trapped: Sheriff Dutten (Timothy Olyphant); his pregnant wife, Judy (Radha Mitchell); Becca (Danielle Panabaker), an assistant at the medical center; and Russell (Joe Anderson), Dutten’s deputy and right-hand man. Forced to band together, an ordinary night becomes a horrifying struggle for survival as they do their best to get out of town alive.

Have you seen ‘The Crazies’ or do you plan to see it? If you’ve seen it, did you like it?

I saw Shutter Island earlier today with one of my good friends, Juan, and I really loved the movie. Martin Scorsese is an amazing director, he has done many excellent movies, and while many people might not find this movie spectacular (from what I’ve read and heard), I liked it a lot. If you like psychological thrillers, then you will probably like this movie.

It’s dark and surreal, which is something I really like seeing in movies, it sort of haunts you in a way that you sometimes feel like you’re there, experiencing it all. Surrealism should be presented more, it’s amazing. I think the movie was beautifully shot, and the performances by the actors were really good. I’ve always said Leonardo DiCaprio is an underrated actor, he’s done wonderful movies and his acting abilities should be recognized more. Also, that man is almost 40 years old and still looks almost the same as 8-10 years ago.

I’m looking forward to watch it again, probably when it comes out in Blu-Ray, so I can analyze it better. With these types of movies, you have to watch them a few times to understand everything, sometimes you forget about bits and pieces that help you figure out the storyline better.

Here’s the plot of the movie, for those of you who don’t know what is it about:

In 1954, U.S. Marshall Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his new partner Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) are assigned to investigate the escape of a patient at the federal maximum security hospital/prison for the criminally insane located on Shutter Island. Once on the island, they find that the hospital and prison staffs aren’t really cooperating with their investigation. It seems that the staff is hiding a big secret and Teddy is going to uncover it. Teddy believes that if he can see the records that he would break the case. In the meantime, the island is hit by a hurricane, and more dangerous patients escape and must be captured. This gives Teddy and Chuck the opportunity to check out some of the buildings that they were denied to go. What Teddy finds is the answer he was looking for. Remember, things aren’t always what they seem to be.

Now, I always hang out with boys, it is understandable because at the university there aren’t a lot of girls studying Computer Science, I’ve had a couple of classes where I’ve been the only girl and 20+ guys. It’s so easy for me to get along with them, and most of them feel the same way about me. A few of them have told me that I’m “one of the boys”, I always laugh because it’s basically true. I like a lot of stuff that guys do: cars, video games, gore, etc.

One of my best friends is a girl. Besides her, all my friends are guys. It feels natural when talking to them, the guys I know are so down to earth and funny. Usually, girls around here are just drama seekers and selfish, I dislike people that act that way. I’m not saying that there aren’t guys like that, I know there are, but it’s easier dealing with them. I love my guy friends so much, they’re awesome!

Do you get along better with the opposite sex? Are most of your friends from the opposite sex?

It’s something that I think about when I’m being my random self, and I always say, I would be perfectly content killing zombies like there was no tomorrow.

Some things I’d have/do:

• I would live in a rich person’s penthouse
• I’d have at least two rooms filled with food and supplies that would last me for quite a while.
• I would drive a Hummer, and write a “2″ (my favorite number) on the door. Like Tallahassee did in Zombieland.
• My weapon of choice would probably be a Sniper, living in a penthouse and all, killing zombies with a Sniper would be easy.
• Some company would be nice, so I’d have my dogs, and any of my friends and family that survive and enjoy killing zombies as much as I do.
• When taking a break from killing zombies, we would definitely play Rock Band for hours.

There’s so much I would do, but those are the ones I can come up with now.

PS. This blog post is just for fun. I don’t actually believe a Zombie Apocalypse will happen. It would be awesome though, if you’re prepared, hehe.

Cairo, Egypt
Since I was little, I’ve always been interested in Egypt. Ancient Egypt history is so exquisite and interesting. I used to watch a lot of documentaries about Egypt on Discovery/History channel. Well, I even have a tattoo of the Eye of Ra. Anyways, I’d like to visit most of Egypt but Cairo would definitely be my first stop.

Santorini, Greece
Santorini looks like such a wonderful place, I love how all the buildings look alike and the view is incredible. I fell in love with the place by watching The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies and several shows where Santorini was showcased. I’d love to go there someday.

Granada, Spain

Granada is a city that was heavily influenced by Moors, and you can really see that in all the architecture. It looks like a beautiful city and the first landmark I’d visit would be The Alhambra palace. I’ve seen many pictures about that place, but imagine visiting that place and experiencing it. That would be one of my dreams coming true.

Rome, Italy

Who wouldn’t love to go to Rome? It’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The architecture in Rome, is definitely one of the most beautiful in old cities. There’s also so many places to visit there. I really hope I can go there someday.

Nassau, Bahamas

This place is so beautiful. I’ve always said that If I ever get married, I’d like to stay at the Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island for my honeymoon. Let’s see if that happens.

The car is a Hyundai Brio (in the US they know it as the Accent), sedan model. I really love it, it is comfortable, the A/C is heaven ( I didn’t have A/C on my old car) and the radio is pretty cool. I also like that it is an ultra-low emission vehicle.
