Glossybox March 2016 Review!

I got my March Glossybox today and it would have been the best one yet, if they had only sent me everything I was supposed to get. They sent me two mousturizers and no eyeko eyeliner! However, I'm sure Glossybox customer service will fix it.

My Glossybox this month was the standard pink box and it came with:

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua - This is a great brand and product. This is actually my favorite lipstick. I love the formula and the shade. Unfortunately, I already own this exact lipstick, but im still happy to have a 2nd one.

I love... Cosmetics Super Soft Hand Lotion in Raspberry and Blackberry - I've seen this brand before and have been wanting to try it. I'm a little disappointed that I got ANOTHER hand lotion, especially since I don't really use them, but I suppose I can use this as a body lotion instead. It smells good too.

Vine Vera Resveratrol Merlot Moisture Day Cream - This is a very expensive anti aging day cream that protects and hydrates.

Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush 504 - I love that they sent everyone a makeup brush this month! It's really pretty and soft. This brush will be perfect for contouring.

Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner - This is the item I was supposed to get but didn't. Thankfully Glossybox customer service has been great in the past about sending me a replacement item, so hopefully they will send me this eyeliner. I already have an Eyeko eyeliner that Birchbox sent me, and I love it. So I'm really looking forward to getting this one too.

***Update***

I found the eyeliner! It was hiding under the box! I ended up contacting Glossybox before finding the eyeliner and they were more than happy to send me a replacement. However, I contacted them again to let them know I found it.

Overall, im really impressed with Glossybox this month!

Simple Loose Leaf February 2016 Review

If you love tea Simple Loose Leaf is the subscription box for you. Every month they will send you delicious and unique loose leaf teas as well as reusable tea bags that you can enjoy using again and again.

Every month you can expect to receive at least 4 loose leaf teas including a black, green, an herbal tea, and a few surprises.

I'm pretty much a beginner when it comes to tea. I'm not really sure what kind of teas I like. That makes this subscription even better. I could try spending lots of money trying new teas I might not enjoy, or I can subscribe to Simple Loose Leaf for $11.99 a month and get a variety of wonderful teas picked out for me.

Everything I received in my box:

2 reusable tea bags! I love these I have been using the same tea bag all month and it's still in great shape. After I'm done brewing my tea, I rinse my bag and let it air dry, then it's ready to be used again. This is such an econical and environmentally friendly alternative to disposable tea bags.

I received 5 loose leaf teas including:

Cranberry Cider Herbal - I liked this one. I thought it would be too fruity and hot fruit doesn't sound too appetizing to me, but the taste of cranberry wasn't too overwhelming and I quite enjoyed it.

Bird Nest Pu'er - This one literally looks like a little birds nest. The cool thing is you don't have to do any measuring. Just take one bird nest tea, break it up, put it in your tea bag, and brew. You can use each bird nest up to 3 times! I did just that, and it tasted just as strong each time.

Punpkin Spice Rooibos - Even though I love pumpkin spice anything, I haven't tried this one yet. It says that it's great with milk and sweetener.

Lavender Sencha Green - This is one of my favorites. It's a very tasty and flavorful green tea.

Ceylon Supreme - This is my favorite tea that I received. It's a Sri Lanken Black Tea. I keep going back to this one because it has so much great flavor.

I just received my March box today, which I can't wait to try out and share with you all!

When I found out I had the opportunity to review a Entryways doormat from the new Spring/Summer 2016 collection I was thrilled.

I chose the Annabelle Hand Woven Coconut Fiber Doormat. When it arrived I was very impressed. It's a beautiful bright blue and I love the stylish design.

It is made of a very high quality and durable all natural coconut fiber, which is also an excellent dirt trapper.

The fibers are hand woven and the design is hand stenciled with fade resistant dyes. I've had my doormat outside for almost a month now, and it has held up very well. This is especially impressive, considering I live where we have a lot of extreme weather conditions; rain storms, wind, and high temperatures.

Exfolimate Review & Giveaway!

The first step to clear beautiful skin is exfoliation. Exfoliation is the removal of the dry, dead skin cells that harbor on the surface of the skin. These debris can cause a myriad of skin problems such as breakouts, blackheads, and clogged pores.

There are many ways to exfoliate such as using a basic loofah or an expensive rotating brush, as well as various cleansers and scrubs. However, there is a totally new way to exfoliate that I'm betting you haven't heard of, and it's called Exfolimate.

Exfolimate is a 2 piece tool set and is an innovative and all natural way to physically remove the dirt, oils, and debris lingering on the outermost layer of the skin on your face and body.

The way the tool works is very simple. Each Exfolimate has a gentle exfoliating steel edge and cell catching micro-grooves. As you glide the Exfolimate all over your skin, you will literally see the dead skin come off to unveil smoother, younger looking skin.

I found that both the Exfolimates for the face and body to be very effective and easy to use. I use them whenever I take a shower, and I can see the dead skin on the groove of the steel edge. I love that I can use them again and again and they always work just as well. Say, good-bye to wasting money on costly exfoliating products that are just money down the drain!

Each one came with a string to put around your wrist, to ensure you don't drop them, but I don't use them as they are very comfortable and easy to hold onto on their own.

The steel edge is surprisingly not sharp, so you don't have to worry about cutting or damaging your skin. At first glance, you might think the steel edge is a razor blade, and I assure you it's not!

The Exfolimate is also much more hygienic than a loofah or brush that can harbor bacteria. After you are done using the Exfolimate, you can sinply just wipe and clean the steel edge.

Overall, I found the Exfolimate to be a really great tool for exfoliating the skin on my face and body. Not only is it great for daily use, but it will really come in handy for when I need to evenly apply self-tanner.

My Glossybox February 2016!

My Glossybox finally arrived today! This month's theme is all about love. The box is adorable and perfect for Valentine' Day (even though I got it after v-day *sad face*).

Everything inside was wrapped and presented to perfection. One of my favorite things about Glossybox is how they put that extra care into each box so that you feel like you're receiving a special gift.

The products I received this month are:

Biorepublic Skincare Sheet Mask Aloe Rescue - Infused with natural extracts and vitamin E, this hydrating sheet mask promotes healthy, balanced skin in just one sitting. I think sheet masks are always a fun way to pamper myself.

Benefit Cosmetics The Porefessional Face Primer - Benefit is a great brand, so I'm always content with getting anything from them. However, I've gotten this sample so many times, that it's not very exciting for me.

Glamglow ThirstyCleanse Daily a Hydrating Cleanser - I keep hearing good things about this brand lately and they are sold at Sephora, so I'm pretty excited to try this.

Etre Belle Cosmetics Golden Skin Roll-On Caviar Eye Gel - This is a really cool product to get! This roll on erases signs of fatigue by forming and resuscitating tired skin around the eyes. I can't wait to try it!

Teez Cosmetics Oasis Gem Lipstick in Heat Wave Ruby - This is my favorite product I received this month. The packaging is really cool. It's a dark ruby shade instead of the typical bright red I usually receive. It looks really beautiful on and I love the matte finish.

Overall, this was another great month from Glossybox. The only thing that could have made it better is if they would have had more variety. I received 3 skin care products and 2 makeup products, and that's only if you consider primer as makeup. My ideal box would consist of more makeup and at least one hair product too.

My Birchbox February 2016!

My Birchbox came in and it's a good one! If you don't know what a Bitchbox is, it's a monthly subscription service that sends you a cute box containing 5 beauty products every month.

There are a lot of beauty boxes out there but none of them are as great of a value as Birchbox. They are the only one that send you the best brands and they have an amazing reward system. Every month you have the opportunity to earn 50 just for reviewing your samples. Every 100 points you earn = $10 to spend on full size products!

This is what the box looks like this month. Very cute and the arrows on the box reminds me of Cupid for Valentines Day.

Onto the products...I received:

Pop Beauty Matte Velvet Lipstick in the color Cozy Crimson - I love this lipstick! It's the perfect shade of red and I love the matte finish. It's matte but it doesn't dry out your lips.

Naobay HydraPlus Cream - This is a pretty generous size sample. I really like the formula too, it make my skin feel soft and moisturized. It contains sage extract, olive oil, aloe vera, and chamomile.

Corioliss Argan Conditioning Mask - I haven't tried this yet, but I'm excited to. It contains Argan oil, fatty acids, vitamin E, and tea tree oil to add softness and shine.

Hey Honey Take it Off! Exfoliating Honey Peel Off Mask - This is the only sample I knew I was going to get because I got to pick it out! I haven't tried it yet, but it intrugued me because after you apply it you can peel it off your skin like glue.

Color Club Mini Polish in the color That's My Jam - The color is very pretty, it actually is pretty much the perfect match for the lipstick I received. The formula is good, but it's not the best. I prefer Zoya Polish, because Color Club is a little too runny for me.

This is what the Pop lipstick looks like out of the box and I have the Color Club nail polish on my nails.

This is what the lipstick looks like on my lips. I think it's perfect for Valentine's Day.

Overall, I think this was a great box. I received all generous size samples and a good variety of skin care, hair products, and makeup. I think the nail polish and lipstick are great for V-Day, but honestly it seems like every time I get lipstick, lip gloss, or nail polish it's always red! I would love to receive other colors too.

The one thing that I get the most compliments on is my hair. People always want to know how I keep my hair looking so shiny and healthy. The key is using quality products that keep my hair happy and hydrated.

What I got in my Glossybox January 2016!

My Glossybox arrived yesterday. I was a good girl this month and didn't look up any spoilers, so everything I got was a total surprise.

If you don't know about Glossybox, it's a subscription service that sends you a gift box containing 5 deluxe size or full size beauty products every month.

Beautiful Nutrition lemon rinse gentle clarifying treatment - I've never tried a clarifying rinse before. It's a treatment you can do 1-2 times a month to help get remove product buildup. I can't wait to use it!

MeMeMe Lip Glide in Playful Peach - This is a thick lip pencil that glides right on. The color is a very pretty bright coral peach. It's a very pigmented and creamy formula.

417 Foot Nourishing Cream - This is another great product. It's smells very good, a nice sweet scent. It's a thick creamy moisturizing formula. I can't wait to apply this to my feet after I shower, put on some warm socks, and go to bed. The next day my feet will be super soft.

Emite Makeup Diamond Heart Base Primer - I believe this is a full size product, which is worth $29 (more than the cost of the box)! I haven't used it yet, but i'm excited to.

Royal Apothic Moisturizing Body Cream in Venetian Grove - The packaging is absolutely gorgeous. The scent is amazing. It's also a nice thick creamy consistency that really hydrates dry skin.

Overall, this is another great box. I'm happy to say I will definitely use everything I received this month.

What I got in my January 2016 Birchbox!

I kind of forgot about Birchbox this month. So, I was very surprised to see that my Birchbox arrived in the mail today. Unfortunately, I missed out on picking my sample, but I couldn't be happier with what I ended up getting in this box.

If you don't know about Birchbox, it's a beauty subscription service that sends you around 5-6 makeup, hair, and skin care samples every month. Sometimes they even send you full size products. It's only $10 a month and it's totally worth it!

The box was very cute this month. It says 2016 is the year of (blank) on the box and inside there are stickers you can use to fill in the blank. I chose "Fearlessness".

On to the goodies...What I received in my Birchbox:

Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle - I'm very excited to receive this! I always have to use a heat protectant whenever I flat iron, blow dry, or curl my hair.

Eyeko Fat Liquid Liner - Yes I love black eyeliner! This is the sample I would have chosen, so I was really ecstatic when I saw I ended up with it anyway.

Real Chemistry Luminous 3 Minute Peel - I don't currently have any peels in my skin care regimen. So this is something I'm interested in trying out.

Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre - This is a French moisturizer that heals dryness and preps skin for foundation. It sounds like this will be great for my skin. I can always use some moisturizer!

Overall, this was a really good box! I'm really happy with everything I got and everything is really useful for me.

My December 2015 Glossybox!

My Glossybox arrived yesterday! Just in case you don't know by now, Glossybox is a beauty subscription service that sends you a beautiful gift box containing 5 makeup, hair care, or skin care products every month. They usually cost $21 a month, but every so often you can find a good deal on a subscription at Rue La La or Gilt City (check my side bar for daily deal sites!).

Glossybox did not disappoint in sending a beautiful gift box this month. It's so gorgeous I just can't throw it away, I have to think of something to use it for!

Everything was wrapped up perfectly like a Christmas gift.

There were a few different variations this month, so everyone didn't get the same thing. What I received in mine:

MTJ High Definition Mascara - I haven't tried it yet, but I'm always happy to receive a full size black mascara. This is definitely something I will use.
De Bruyere Lip Gloss - For some odd reason beauty subscriptions always send out red lip products. I like red, but it's something I only wear very occasionally. I think I probably have a life time supply of red lip products right now. However, I am still happy to receive this product. It's a pretty color, I like the smooth non-sticky texture. It's still something I will try to use up.
Color Club Nail Polish in Feverish - I love nail polish, and the deep red shade is a perfect color for this time of the year. I am definitely happy to get this product!
Orogold Hand Cream - Hand cream in 2 boxes in a row? Yep. However, this is a really nice hand cream. I love the packaging and it's a very generous size at 2.5 oz.
Glossybox Eyeshadow in Glossy Muave - This looked like it would have been a great eyeshadow color. Too bad it arrived shattered! Hopefully they will be able to send me a replacement.

Overall, this box was very impressive. All of the product I received were full size. All products are things I will definitely use. The only negative thing I can say it the eyeshadow being broken, but I'm sure they will send me a replacement item.

My December 2015 Birchbox!

I got my December Birchbox today! If you don't know about Birchbox, it's the original beauty subscription service. For only $10 a month, they send you a box with 5 beauty samples or full size products, as well as coupons, and if you fill out a quick review on the samples you received, you get $5 worth of points every month.

I'm loving the box this month, very cute and wintery!

Everything was wrapped very nicely and presented well. The best thing in my box was probably the $10 off a $35 purchase coupon! This is a pretty generous coupon and I was able to use it with my Birchbox points. I ended up using it to buy the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit (originally $40), after the coupon and my points it only cost me $10!

Moving on to what I got in my box:

Coastal Scents styleEYES Eyeshadow Palette - formalEYES - Birchbox has started allowing users to choose 1 sample in their box. So, I was able to pick which color eyeshadows I wanted. I thought this was pretty awesome! I will definitely get a lot of use out of these nude and mauve shadows.

The Beauty Crop Lighting Crew Highlighting Cream - Apparently this is to be used under foundation or body lotion. It's very shimmery and drying, so I'm not so sure about using it all over my body and I'm wondering if it would even show up under my foundation.

Coola Classic SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer for Face - This seems like a great product. It really smells like cucumber and a moisturizer with SPF is always useful.

Harvey Prince Sea Salt Texturizing Mist - The description says this styling spray delivers beachy texture, big volume, and a summery scent. I like to use sea salt sprays on my hair occasionally. It's a pretty easy way to style my hair after I get out of the shower. Just spray sea salt spray all over my hair, use a blow dryer with a diffuser, and scrunch my hair.

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo - I always like getting dry shampoos, since I don't always feel like washing and styling my hair everyday. I've tried oil from Amika before and really like this brand as well. The colorful packaging is also very cute.

Overall, I like 4/5 products in this month's box, and the coupon was awesome. However, I don't think the samples were quite as festive as they should have been given this is a December box. Sunscreen and beach waves with a summery scent doesn't quite scream Winter to me.

My Glossy Box November 2015!

I got my first Glossy Box yesterday, and so far I'm happy with my subscription. I got a special deal on my Glossy Box subscription, so it only cost me a little over $8 a box, it usually costs $21.

Just in case you don't know, Glossy Box is a subscription service that sends you a mystery box full of makeup, skin care, and hair care products. They will send you generous deluxe sample sizes or full size products. They come in a very nice gift box and everything is beautifully wrapped.

They do have a rewards program, but it's not quite as good as Birchbox's. You get Glossydots by taking surveys and referring friends, after you get 1000 Glossydots you can redeem them for a free box.

It looks like everyone got the same thing in their Glossybox this month, so no surprise there. What I received in mine:

Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in You're Toast - This is the only thing in my box that I probably wont use. I don't care for loose eye shadows, they are too messy and too much work in my opinion.

Crabtree & Evelyn Ultra Moisturising Hand Therapy - I love that I got this! The formula is great, it smells really good, and the packaging is cute.

Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Creme - This is another great product. I love the formula. It makes my skin feel very moisturised. I will definitely use this up!

Beauty For Real D-Fine Lip Pencil - This appears to be the only full size product in this month's box. I've never heard of this brand before. I don't really use lip pencils too often. It's a pretty good neutral color though. I have a couple of lipsticks that match well.

Florapy Deep Hydrating Mask in Blackberry Primrose - I haven't used this product yet. it's a facial mask, which is always a nice relaxing product. It's definitely something I will enjoy using.

Overall, This box didn't blow me away, but i'm still pretty happy with my Glossybox subscription so far.

What I got in my November 2015 Birchbox & Try out Birchbox for only $5!

I was a loyal Birchbox subscriber in 2012, but I ended up cancelling my subscription after accumulating more makeup and samples than I could use, I decided to resubscribe this month, and I just received my first box.

Just in case you don't know what Birchbox is, it's a subscription service that sends you 5 beauty samples a month.What sets Birchbox apart from the many other beauty boxes is that they send you makeup from well known and high end brands, while Ipsy often sends you cheaper and less well known makeup. They even have an amazing reward points system. For every item you review in your box, you receive 10 points, and you receive 50 points for referring friends. Just by reviewing your samples, you receive a guaranteed 50 points a month. For every 100 points, you get $10 to spend in the Birchbox store. So, it's super easy to earn a lot of points to buy full size products of your choice!

Usually Birchbox packages your samples like a beautiful gift. Needless to say, I was less than thrilled with the packaging of my box this month. The tissue paper was wrinkled and just stuffed in the box. My samples inside were carelessly scattered about.

However, I was pretty pleased with my samples. I received:

Klorane Smoothing and Relaxing Patches with soothing Cornflower - I have dark circles under my eyes, so this is a useful sample for me.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo - I'm really excited about this one. It's a generous size, I've been wanting to try this brand, and I love dry shampoo. It's a win, win, win.
Lox Vibrant Matte Lipstick in the color Wildest Dreams - This is also a generous size sample and I love receiving makeup in my boxes. The only thing i'm not too thrilled about is that it's red. I personally just don't care for red lips on me.
Parlor by Jeff Chastain Touchable Curl Cream - This one I'm a little iffy on. I love hair products, but I usually wear my hair straight. However, I've never tried a curl cream, so I will give it a chance.
theBalm cosmetics Cindy-Lou-Manizer - Ahh, I've been wanting to try makeup from theBalm badly. I've heard a lot of good things about this product. So, I'm really excited about getting this in my box.

Caress has always been one of my favorite brands for bath products. Their body washes are always thick, luxurious, and smell oh so good. They recently came out with the Forever Collection, and two new body washes; Adore Forever and Love Forever.
