Christmas and the holidays are always very festive for the residents at Glen Riddle. We hosted a Christmas party for the residents and their families, choruses from Neumann University & Chichester High School from Boothwyn, Pennsylvania.

The Residence at Glen Riddle has been busy living life to the fullest this Summer 2011 in Media PA!

Our Senior Residents celebrated the Fourth of July with a day trip to Newtown Square PA for the holiday parade and a barbecue for lunch! Many of our senior resident veterans also attended a special presentation at the Veteran’s Museum in Media, PA on July 13th.

Cardinal O’Hara students visit the Residence twice a month during the school year, spending time with us in our assisted living facility, making crafts and interacting with our residents. Our senior residents look forward to their visits each month and love to share their stories!

The Residence wound up the 2010-2011 winter season in Pennsylvania with a Mardi Gras celebration on March 8th, where we listened to Cajun music, had lots of goodies, wore colorful beads and played Mardi Gras Trivia (did you know that the original Mardi Gras was not in New Orleans?).

We made toasts, ate hot hors d’ oeuvres, had our own balloon count‐down, sang “Auld Lang Syne,” and we even did some Mummers’ strutting. We feasted on fancy bakery‐quality cake (made by Lynn Lewis— thanks so much!) and we welcomed 2011 in style!
